Either that or she stayed on the Island, and I don't see how she would willingly stay there without Aaron.
In the latest episode featuring Flash-Forwards of Kate at her trial, she is fostering Aaron. (although posing as his real mother)
Throughout it Jack doesn't want to see him, so that must mean jack find out that Claire is his sister, that Aaron is his nephew.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I just don't think Claire would have been seperated from Aaron through normal means. So, she either had to have died or something weird happened. I'm going with the dead theory, but the writers of Lost always suprise me, so, we'll see.

My theory is that something happened after she gets on the helicopter... unless of course, Desmond only saw Aaron getting off the island, and just said Clair did too to comfort Charlie.
I don't think Jack knows about his connection to Clair. I think that because of his "need to fix it" complex, that he would have stepped up to be Aaron's parent. I mean, hell, he could easily get legal custody based on DNA.
I do wonder about the "he must not be raised by another" thing though. I'm going out on a limb and going to suggest something that I don't even believe... perhaps the psychic saw waaaaaaaaaaaaay into the future, saw Kate and Jack in California raising the kid? (Doubtful 3nodding )

Claire has a good chance for death, I heard that one origional 815er will be killed off in this upcoming episode. Aaron is with Kate, What happened to Claire? idea She has a lot against her for death. Desmond saw her in the helicopter, She fell out? She got deathly ill? Had a similar experience to Desmond?
Just offering up ideas.

I think, unfouruntly Claire dies.
There is no way in hell that she just gave up Aaron, unless she knew he'd be better off or somthing.

maybe jack thinks that it's sawyer's baby? cause at first i did too. but i guess that would mean that kate or someone snuck the baby off the island.

I'm pretty sure he knows it's Aaron. After all, how would Aaron have gotten off the island if he didn't come with them?

and that's the flaw in my theory lol. what i'm concerned about is remember how when claire went to that psychic and he told her to not let anyone else raise her baby? what's going to happen now that kate is raising aaron?

Well, after seeing Claire so calm about her child in the care of another, I think that she did die somehow. Also, I think Jacob told her that Jack and Kate were the couple that were to raise Aaron and the psychic said that the couple were in California just so she would get on the plane, it would crash, and lead up to Jack and Kate caring for the kid. How does the mere fact that Aaron is with Kate mean she's dead? It's not like she has God-like powers that she'll unleash on anyone who tries to take him away or Des-like psychic abilities so that she'll know not to be all "here hold him real quick" right before some s**t goes down .
