I think that some of Matchbox 20's music has piano in it ... the song how far we come does, i know that. Also, Nickleback... but i am not sure if you would classify that as piano rock... i am not sure biggrin

Vic-Rattlehead-DDE Avenged sevenfold has some piano and keys in it, alot in almost easy, but you have to listen for it, and critcal acclaim has an organ intro. Yeah, and a really obvious piano part in I Won't See You Tonight pt.1, but not part two.

firstly, u really have to know what is rock before u want to ask us the question. defining music is important. rock is music that centres on the performance of instruments especially bass, guitars, and drums.
and answering your question, Linkin Park has a number of songs with pianos not as the main instruments. What I've Done and In The End are easy enough.

Correct me if I seem wrong to you:
Slipknot (Keyboards count, right?) Atreyu (as in Lip Gloss and Black, Becoming the Bull, etc.) Apocalyptica (Pretty much 'classical' rock.)
Anyone else I'm missing?

(sorry if any of these were all ready mentioned) I know a few of those.
*gets up on a table and screams* THE DRESDEN DOLLS! The Dresden Dolls are definitely an awesome band. One of my favorites. They're something like a mix of punk and cabaret... great stuff! Almost all their songs consist of these main parts: vocals, piano, drums, and sometimes other percussion or a guitar. Now, you may want to slap me with a fish, because their music may have too much piano for you, but hey idk. that's just my reccommendation for ya. xp
Here are a few others: - The singer Anousheh Khalili writes indie rock songs with some piano. - I know The Hush Sound use some piano. - I'm pretty sure Jack's Mannequin does too. I don't know for sure, but from what I've heard they do. Someone back me up on this one?
*ponders* that's all I can think of right now! but yeah, def check out the Dolls. Do it or I'll kill youuu. whee

What in the world is Piano Rock as far as i am concerned its Rock n' Roll man. For starters some of the best "Piano Rock" players could be Jerry Lee Lewis Little Richard, Elton John (Yes it's Rock music headlining the piano) or Ray Charles.
Not Rock but Rock n' Roll because Rock n' Roll came from the very first Rn'B music which was later changed because Rn'B was a "Black" type of music and racist people changed it to Rock n' Roll the white persons Rn'B.
My Definition for Rock, Music that has something to state something to say "Sticking it to the Man" if you will like when the Beatles were against the Vietnam War so they wrote songs against the war (Many other artists as well starting writing music like this so came the Birth or "Rock"). That would be the very start of Rock, then it branched off into the other styles that fit underneath Rock n' Roll & Rock, So it's not music that just features a Guitar a Bass and Drums.
Some bands don't even have Bass Players some don't Have Guitar Players and some don't have Drummers that does not make them, NOT ROCK. So yah
Sorry for the rant
I Just don't believe that some people try to discuss topics they know nothing about. Piano's Rule 3nodding
