You know what's sad? I'm actually counting on that money now to load up my house on some groceries. Has anyone else noticed a major spike in food prices around the first of the year?
This rebate is a bit nicer than the one which only included people with children. I don't think it's fair to single certain people out. Still as you said, it's (less than) a dollar a day so it sure won't do any major economy spiking.

I did notice a price increase in food, but that could just be because the gorverner here in MD raised the state sales tax at the start of the year. It's annoying and I really have to wonder what its all going towards.
Anyway, it looks as though the rebate checks are definitely coming sometime this spring/summer. I'm probably going to at least attempt to save some of mine, but between Ninja Gaiden 2, Metal Gear 4, Star Wars: the Force Unleashed and several other video games coming out, I can't promise a thing. sad
