How big are your guys pit?
For the 2006 marching season we had 13, and for this year we had 20! with only 3 not knowing how to play 4 mallets(one was an oboe, one was new to percussion in general, and one was a lazy clarinet, and he didn't want to march since he is Farley)
But is anyone else near those numbers?

we had i think...let me count...9 people. we started out with 11, but some people left and some people changed. only 1 person really couldn't play, but they insisted that they wanted to and our instructers were too nice. she played chimes and when you listen to our parent preview dvd you can hear them because the person video taping was almost right above her on the scalfolding. it was very loud and offkey. It hurt my ears....

Our pit was big but not that big. we had like 7 people and we had to double up on insterments. Three of those people had more than two years of experience, and four of them it was their first year in percussion. Out pit gets the people who cant march or play. Cant march is allright but we dont want to get the rejects who cant play. -.-

we have....8? usually less....
I did drum corps this summer and was going to be my school's drum major, but my high school guilted me into being in the pit...because at the time, we only had 3 pit members... and we were almost done with band camp.

we have 3 marimbas, 1 xylo, 2 vibes, 2 aux, 1 kit, and 1 bass (me)
we have a small band XD
I MISS MARCHING SOOO MUCH sad but i'm not originally in percussion (learning now though. très amusement) I march with saxophone in marching band biggrin
... an invisible reality.
