Alright, here's the deal:
I'm a sophomore and this is my second year on Guard. Tryouts for Captain are next month. There a bunch of first-year juniors that think they can try out, which, techinically, they can't b/c its their first year. Anyway, sophomores are only allowed to go for Captian if their are special circumstances, like if there aren't enought juniors trying out. And I don't mean to sound self-absorbed or anything, but I know for a fact that I am better than all but maybe two of the juniors.
So here's the question about which I need advice:
Do you think I should ask my BD if I can try out for Captain???
I'm really stuck on this... I need some help.

ninja definitly I think you should if you have more experience and you are better than the new kids go for it rub there noob faces in there flags ninja

yeah definitly. any way those first years on cg have no right what so ever to try out for captin. i am not trying to be mean but if a section has a section leader that knows nothing about what they are doing then it can all go down hill from there. at my school the way it works is rissing seniors first, then rissing junoirs if there are no seniors and only rissing seniors that have had two years of experience. then again our tryouts and interveiws are in march/april so no rissing freshmen can really tryout. i guss it depends on the bd and instructers.

Never hurts to ask. ^-^ But I really hate the idea of high school colorguard captains. But that's because we didn't have any in mine. I understand independent just not scholastic ones.
