Amanikitty TalaRayne Amanikitty sickle_bloodless good luck i hope you make it!Also I'm getting kind of frustrated that some people are so stuck up and judgmental. At least she isn't sponsoring Gwen Stepani's fashions that are basically ripping off Japan street style. She's a model and wanted to wear Lolita so she might have taken whoever offered. White Peacock has a more casual Lolita inspired style but that doesn't make it a Bad brand. Its better than Hot topic is! EuthanasiaOfSanity I agree 100% with TalaRayne. If you're going to dress Lolita, make sure you do it right and properly. I recommend these places to get clothes for Lolita Blasphemina's Closet Victorian Maiden Innocent World Angelic Pretty Baby, The Stars Shine Bright In the Starlight Moi-meme-Moitie Metamorphose Temps de Fille huh ? could you list the urls as well ? I wonder if there is any shops not online to get Lolita from. You could probably find a Macy's dress and modify it. All I've shot is 2 shirts. Boylolita seems harder than girllolita for me TT__TT; -C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
lol, No, White Peacock is just a crap-site that sells "Lolita". And no, Hot Topic and Bodyline is better than them, sorry to say. biggrin
And if you're frustrated, why, there's always the Love & Lace Guild. biggrin
-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- you could always google the store names if you're too lazy to go to the FAQ that boconotto wrote White Peacock seems to fail worse than Hot Topic, I must agree with everyone else on that one sad @ Amani: aw, I feel half-ashamed to be a part of that guild now! biggrin you made us sound like a last resort guild wink jkjk it's all good @ sickle_bloodless: Love & Lace WILL be friendlier overall, but tbh pretty much everyone there is a beginner sad -C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
xD It's the truth though. It wasn't really a random jab at the guild.
-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- Yeah no worries, i think most people get what youre trying to say. Ha ha ha actually the EGL guild is a lot friendlier though :/ from my experience but thats just me. And the japanese fashion guild is getting nicer. Those people probably logged on with knives or something. It was fun though. Besides someone has to advice the beginers in some way ^^lll or else it will be like the shojo beat fad at my highschool before i graduated. My gawd my head was gonna explode. Dont hate the magazine entirely, but its not the freggin bible! Okay im done now XP

gothic_lolita_chic hmm @_@ you have a point there, but it's not like it's an actual commercial, it's just a competetion. I don't mean commercial like tv commercial. I mean commercial as in main-stream something everyone knows about and tries to get into without bothering to learn about it first. Especially with something as delicate as Lolita which is so often mistaken for fetish wear or some "weird" cloths.

Sailor Jerry I think I disagree. I can't blame anyone for wanting to make it big, while wearing the clothing they love. That's like either telling them to get rid of their ambition, or their love of Lolita. There's a difference between that and trying to make Loli commercial.

But couldn't someone try to make it big while wearing what they love, and then Lolita would become more commercial/better known as a side affect? Would that be better? The end result is exactly the same.

The end result is exactly the same. no one is saying she /shouldn't/ wear lolita, because if it's something you love, go ahead and wear it the point here (I think) is that the clothes she will be wearing (from The White Peacock) are not an accurate representation of the fashion though on egl quite recently a girl got a skirt from TWP and completely revamped it and now it's pretty cool and actually lolita smile @ the OP: you could try reconstructing the clothes if you want/are allowed to. then you could still represent lolita fashion like you wanted (provided you reconstruct it properly) heart

gothic_lolita_chic JolieRini: lol, i am so sorry, i totally forgot about that post, i had other things on my mind. i ment to answer it, so i will now. I've officially been a lolita for about a month now, but i've been interested in it roughly a year or more. Also, when i decided to dress lolita, i made sure to do TONS of reasearch on the backgrounds, clothing styles, and overall look of lolita. So in other worlds, you could say i'm new, but i know a lot more about lolita than some new lolita, who really are NEW to lolita. LOLOLOL
Oh and if lolita does go commercial I'll kill the one who did it.

OP, if you won't be WEARING lolita, then why did you post in the first place? Sounds like you're bragging about something that has NOTHING to do with lolita fashion. And White Peacock is s**t.

The end result is exactly the same. The end result is the same, and I think "commercial" lolita sucks. >.< I think loli is best when not as many ignorant people parading around in Loli. Typically, since loli is sort of a sub culture, you mostly have people actually willing to learn about the fashion trying to get into it...

muninn Goth_chi muninn -Lolita_Kana- muninn um.. Lolita IS a fetish.... I hate to break it to you, but it's the fetish of women dressing up and acting like under age girls ...and it's really popular. Also I don't think there is anything wrong with fetish loli even name brand put out fetish clothing.. Just though I should clear that up... sorry that was a bit off topic...
Wow for someone who tries to promote her own Lolita clothing line it doesn't seem like you know very much about it. Just like Niimura and Sailor Jerry stated Lolita is not a fetish because it is not something that turns on the wearers but something that makes them feel elegant and sophisticated in a society where it is so common for people to dress like whores in simple words. I suggest brushing up on Lolita before stating it's a fetish around those who take Lolita seriously you don't feel sexy in your lolita clothes? you don't think that they make you look good?
>.> I think lolita is adorable and cute when i dress in them i think they make me look like a doll. Lolita makes me think of kittens and bunnys and easter egg hunts and pretty doll collections... not sex, not anything sexual. Anything can be taken out of context and used by a pervert as a fetish... slippers for example... that dosent make them fetish... Do you look at a house slipper and think perverted thoughts? No, because it's not the intended use for it but some people have slipper fetishes... same goes for Lolita, it's not intended in the least bit to be sexual but perverts (namely beople with ***** tendencies) take the clothing style and pervert it by associateing it with their perverted thoughts. I'm just saying the word "Lolita" is a fetish, about underage girls. And has been around alot longer then the fashion movement. It's no coincidence that Lolita fashion is like that of a young girl. I love Lolita fashion and it's horrible that some people have perverted thoughts about little girls. But that is where the word come froms. and you don't need to be sexually aroused by lolita but some people are. I'm very serous about my lolita you just need a reality dose.
I'm sorry if this ofends you, but I know alot about the lolita fashion movement. I was in Japan when it was just getting started. I love it to death.
late to the party, sorry! but umm... you were in Japan in the 70s then? rofl also http://community.livejournal.com/gothicgarnet/362.htmlFAIL

1. Um, I don't really see how you can say that "loli", a ***** fetish, has been around longer than the fashion, since the fashion is based off of another fashion that is hundreds of years old, back in a time where it was okay for 25 year old guys to marry 16 year old gilrs. XD 2. You say "women dressing up and acting like under age girls," but MOST of the people who dress Loli ARE under-aged girls (or thereabouts), so... Plus Loli is different from similar looking fetish cloths that are fetish-y, because they're not "sexy", they're not even revealing. It's a conservative-looking fashion. Anymore than uni-sex loafers and overalls are "sexy"... 3. You're like, trying to ask if people feel "sexy" in Loli? As I said before, the cloths aren't even revealing, and if you ask most Lolitas, the answer will probably be no, because that is NOT why they dress Loli. 4. Just because some people have perverted thoughts about little girls doesn't make Lolita a fetish. For that much, an underage girl wearing ANYTHING will be a fetish to those same people, because they just like little girls. It doesn't really have anything to do with what they're wearing.
