The story starts with the hero, a guy who doesn't particularly care for anything, not even his sister. His name is Kirio Muji, and he doesn't have the best personality ever. Soon after the first few pages, an air raid is started, and Kirio being completely unfazed by the attack, decides to walk to his house. As they are going there, a robot comes walking out, looking for a house. As she stops at Kirio's house, Kirio screams out, stating that house is his house and demanding an explanation for why she has shown up there. The robot girl flies at him he assumes, but then flies over his head stopping helicopter bullets from barraging him. Soon after, she dives into a forest and is lost. Kirio finds his mother, a high ranking officer of a private army named "Black Hare" for the island demanding the removal of the helicopters. As the forces leave, Kirio is told by his mother to go home with his sister. Blowing his sister off, he walks home himself. As he enters his yard, a young girl is in his yard. As the girl faints, he brings her inside and gives her some food. A day later, his friends find out this girl is living in his house, and not just his house, but his closet. Later that day, as the two are standing on the roof of Kirio's house, a helicopter comes slamming into the roof. Aliens sent to find the girl are attacking the city. Immediately, the girl reveals she is the robot that was looking for his house the other day, and she is in disrepair. She needs Kirio to pilot her, and transforms into her robot form. Kirio, not even thinking about what he's doing, or listening for an explanation, immediately boards the robot girl.
