My cat is a calico mix, named Deliliah she was a rescue cat. I honestly recommend adoption for getting animals, most animals given up are just becasue people didn't really want to take care of them anymore. (or moved it also seems) As for a private breeder, I've watched way too much animal caps on animal planet to be trusting of them. Where you may see a nice place on a scheduled visit (pretty much anytime the breeders say its okay) many breeders make the mothers have kittens every time they are in heat, and thats harmful to both the mother and the kittens. The best thing I can recommend isn't getting a pet becasue its cute or will look good, if you really want one, go to the shelter a few times, you'll know when you find the right one for you.

Have you ever had a cat before? Cats are unforgiving. So if you choose a cat that you think is "sooo loli!!ahrpaehr" instead of a cat that seems would really love you and be grateful to me you dont deserve the company of a cat. I adopt the one that comes to me and doesnt let go. no matter how incredibly mix bred and 'ugly' it is [MY NELLY IS NOT UGLY D: < ]
Oh yes. Try to get a cat from the pound because a lil pure bred kitty daddy is going to visa up for you is probably going to be spoiled rotten.
By the way, I'm a**l about people getting animals : ] you can tell when some people are just not ment to take care of them, like the first time it takes a #2 on the carpet. in example, like mizer manikins said you want a cat that looks 'loli' do you really want the cat? or is it like a fur coat thats alive e.e
I laugh at thee who adopt a cat and returns it because its too much work HAHAHAH.

wow im in a bad mood... I'm sorry if the way I tend to phrase things seems confusing or something to that nature. I had a cat a while ago, she was rather old. She was around when I was born and died when I was about 8. She'd gotten run over and had to be put down. I did most of her work for matenence since my parents didn't like her much. My mom would've taken care of her, but she was much to busy, and my dad didn't like cats at the time. I know how to care for a cat. I want a cat, but I just couldn't decide which KIND to get. I like them all, so in that case I'm indecisive, so I thought "Hmm, maybe I'll get one that goes best with Lolita" and make a decision based on a small factor of which breeds seem popular. Of course I'd look for certain personalities in them, since like humans, every cat is unique. They've all got different tastes and personalities, but since there's so many options for the breed, it's hard to choose. I don't think any cat is ugly, I'm just very indecisive. I don't care whether it's from a breeder or the pound, just as long as I don't have lots of paper work. Thats all. Please be more polite next time and don't jump to conclusions. Like I said, which ones do YOU guys like? I'll probably choose the one with major vote, since I know you can get purebreds of any real common type at pounds...

*i just had to post something* i show cats, so you could say i'm sorta an expert on cats (atleast a well-trained individual) I personally recommend a persian or himilayan. Siamese and similar bred cats can be loud and playful, and can get into your stuff, they like high places, so they can knock stuff down, hardly delicate. (these are average siamese) persians and himalayans though, if your going for the lolita look, are ideal. thier cute and fluffy and have a very sweet personality. just like a lolita. They do love your attention and like to play, but not to an extreme, where they yell at you if you dont touch them every 5 minutes. Whatever you decide to get, dont get a pure white cat with blue eyes, while they ARE pretty, they have a high risk of deafness. Although anyother color eyes is fine. good luck! *note, i have 7 cats, and i've had both a persian and a himilayan, and a siamese mix, lol*

Or toy-tiger.
They're just normal cats but with the Tiger pattern fur.
Very adorable but I don't know their personality...
I'd still get one, if I could afford the extremelly high price of them...but 500 dolelrs might cover them nicely...

Adoption is love.
I for one love my pets (two dogs), but as an adult I won't own pets because they ruin clothes. I get fur all over my clothes no matter how many times I get it off.
I don't get why some people would pay so much for an animal.
I personally want to adopt something if I get one, but you can't adopt an octopus...

This may or may not be a factor in your decision, but Maine Coons are larger and require less grooming then other longhair cats. I would think that a longhair with a lace collar is about as lolita as a pet can get.
You'll want to find one with a sweet demeanor if you intend to put it in collars and bows to match you, as not all cats are very tolerant of that. I would suggest going to a shelter and seeing if you can meet the possible cats, then go for the one with the best personality.
And if I could scan and send you one of the kittens I'm trying to place right now, I would. Sweet little calicos.
Also, a lilac in any breed would be a sweet alternative to white, though they are harder to find.
