My kitty's gone. We haven't heard from him for over 24 hours. crying
I'm really worried about what might've happened. I'm hoping that he just strayed off and will come back soon, but... Things aren't always that nice and convenient.

Oh no! Have you called the humane society, city animal services and any other shelters yet? Make sure you do that, and you should post up some posters in your neighbourhood.

One of my mum's kitties went missing two weeks ago, but she came home yesterday, and we've had cats come back after more than two years, so search hard and don't give up hope. :hugs:

Yesterday one of our neighbors said that 4 days ago he saw some woman petting our cat. Surely she abducted him. Ugh, why do people do crap like that? I wanna abduct her child and see how she feels about that.

;o;

Is he tattooed/microchipped? Maybe put up posters and offer a reward for his return?

Microchipped? I've never even heard of such a thing. o.O

Yeah, posters would be a good idea...

My cat got in a fight with a stray cat and now he has a big cut on his shoulder. He's limping and he looks like he is in pain. We tried to put anti-biotic ointment on it, but he just licked it off. I feel so bad for him. cry

If he is licking it off you should get an e-collar for him. They sell them at pet stores. He may flip out and bump into things but its better to let the cut heal with anti-biotic ointment on in then for him to keep on irritating it.

What exactly is it? Does it cover up their mouth or something?

Oh yeah and also my cat Fiona is really skinny and she does not eat a lot. She has been like this for a long time now. I have another cat who eats the same thing she does (except birds, she is the only one who knows how to catch them) but is normal-sized. Is this bad? Should I take her to the vet?

An e-collar basically is a cone on their head i guess thats how you can explain it. You should make sure it fits right because if it does'nt then they will still be able to get the wound.
This is what one looks like.

As for your cat Fiona I suggest going to the vet. It could be something that is causing it.

Well, if it didn't have any identification as a pet, she might've assumed it was a friendly stray. If you do get it back, have it chipped. If a chip is read in a found animal, it has to be returned to the owner by law. Someone found my friend's dogs and when the vet scanned the chips, the people who found them got mad at the vet for not letting them keep the dogs. gonk People are crazy.

Well, I found out what happened to my cat... My neighbor saw the whole thing...

As I suspected, the b***h (pardon my language) who was petting my cat, decided that it was her business to steal it. So she picked up my cat and started to cross the street with it. The cat broke away and ended up getting run over.

She's lucky I don't know where she lives, otherwise, so help me god, an ambulance would be coming to get her. I hope she rots in hell.

dramakitten9998: Some cats just have different metabolisms and body types, but if you are concerned then a vet visit would definitely be a good idea. If there's a problem then you can get it resolved and if there is no problem you can stop worrying.

Biohazard EXTREME: Omg, I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. crying That's really terrible.

I'm glad you found out what happened though... it's really horrible that your kitty got hit by a car, but never finding out what happened is worse than knowing, because you never get closure.

I really hope that stupid woman learned to keep her hands off other people's pets. evil She'll get hers some day.

I just got another cat last week. We got her from one of my brothers friends; she showed up out of nowhere at his house, and he wanted to keep her but he couldn't because he had a dog and his dog would probably end up killing it. So he brought it to us, so we now have another cat. She is sooo adorable! 4laugh Shes white with black spots. Shes so cute, her spots make her look like a little cow. And she is so sweet and friendly. I was just sitting there the other night reading a book and she came over to me and just started licking my face and rubbing against my shoulder. Her name is Betsy, because she looks like a cow we used to have named Betsy. =3

Waaaaaaaah crying

My dad called me at 10:30 last night (2.5 hours after his bedtime! something was wrong!) to tell me that he had to rush one of our cats, Jack, to the ER gonk gonk He was acting really lethargic. Usually when my dad goes to change out of his work clothes, Jack follows him and meows/bothers him all the way back downstairs and won't leave dad alone. But yesterday, apparently, he wouldn't even lift his head for dad.

This morning I took Jack from the ER to his normal vet for more...diagnosis? The ER said it was pancreatitis or something, but the Vet says that may not it because there is a heart murmur and spots on his lungs. Jack won't eat, so he might have to get a feeding tube ><

Does anyone have any background dealing with feeding tubes? The last cat we had with a feeding tube went not-so-well. At least, the day she got it out, she got outside and was never seen from again. :/

Mostly I'm scared crying Jack is my cat, I picked him out at the shelter 9 some odd years ago. :<

He's the big one! @3@

Eep, I'm so sorry Des! How is he doing today?

I don't have any personal experiences with feeding tubes, but I really like this site for cat info and she has an article on feeding tubes: http://www.catinfo.org/feedingtubes.htm
