My uncle is damn awesome. For christmas he has offered to complete my garb for me! I should've told him what he was getting into because prices can be extremely high twisted . So, if you could all help me, I am looking for websites that have viking gear that aren't priced so high that they'll put my uncle in bankruptcy!
I am in need of shoes, pants, possibly some leather armor, a saex, feast gear (bone preferred), a drinking horn, rings, thors hammer. Shoes are absolute. The other things, I don't really think I need them.
Any suggestions for additional items appreciated.
Oh yeah, my persona is viking age Scandinavian. Not sure if that info is really so important.
Thanks! biggrin

My best advice is to just google it, or look threw the SCA webpages. For shoes though, try to find someone who makes mocacines, more purfurably the boot kind. Half the people in my house hold got some from a local guy and they look amazeing.(I am in a purely viking household by the way) and I recomend looking into somewhere that sells CAS swords and knives for the Seax. I ordered one from them that is really nice. Carbon steel blade, brass and wood handle with some knotwork on it. The only problem with it is that its sharp on the curved side. For a horn, try to find somene local to buy a horn from, then just da a bleach treatment too it yourself, thats what I am doing for mine...I have yet to actully make it so I can drink out of it. Everything that is advertised as a 'drinking horn' is crap.. or not actually horn.

Look up Nalbinding, you can make authentic socks and hats in a short amount of time!
