I'm having trouble articulating how I feel about the cash shop...to be honest, I don't think the items are amazing (that said, I got caught up in the initial excitement and bought a couple of things) if these items had been released as mcs, I think they would have been of a higher standard. Perhaps that is just me feeling resentful...as I said, having difficulty articulating my thoughts on this matter. sweatdrop

Perhaps that is just me feeling resentful...as I said, having difficulty articulating my thoughts on this matter. sweatdrop I know what you mean. I think the evolving and the limited time things are both the selling points of the items more than anything else. I think that's the hook, wanting to get an item for a few bucks before you have to save up an ungodly amount of Gaia gold for it. The whole thing makes me begin feeling guilty about my Gaia habit. It makes me wonder, wow, I'm using money to purchase cute pixels--when I can just go to TekTek.org and make all the cute avas I want. I think part of my impetus for posting this was a story I heard on the radio about a month ago. Some guy in, Holland I think, stole a whole bunch of stuff... but it was virtual stuff Apparently people were spending real money to get fictional items on this site that was like a second life to them. And a guy came in and stole their virtual stuff. At the time I thought "wow, people are paying money for fake stuff?" sweatdrop

The Cash Shop is at an all new low, or high rather. A virtual item for 9.99 is going a bit too far in my book.

I hope people boycott it though.

I just can't imagine shelling out real money for fake stuff. I'd rather save all my gold and buy them in the marketplace. I think the cash shop is a bad idea. Why not just make those items more expensive (in gold)?
Why do I get a bad feeling by this time next year Gaia is gonna be a paysite? sweatdrop

I hope Gaia doesn't become a paysite gonk
Anyway, I don't really have any problesm with the cash shop itself. I haven't used it directly (though I did buy some cash shop items from the market place). Unless it was an item that was really, really cool (or ninja related stare ) I probably wouldn't spend real cash on it.

Does anyone feel like since Gaia opened up the cash site and now has the MTV thing, they haven't really created many new items for the regular shops? Maybe I'm just not patient enough. eek

MooBabe They did a HUGE item update in December and they just updated the cars. Ahh, yeah...that's true. I guess I forgot about how large that update was since I wasn't that excited about a lot of the items. sweatdrop I'll have to check out the new cars, I haven't yet.

Having my character wield a sword without doing anything for it is tempting, but if I wouldn't spend money on WoW gold when I used to play, I can't see spending it here either.
