How could Cluny get crushed by a bell at the end of Redwall? Bells are hollow.

The sides or top of the bell could have hit him pretty hard, though.

I think the book mentions him being crushed through the floor...
Also, he was a Greatrat: assuming that the size of full grown male creatures in Redwall is proportionate with human systems of measuring, then most bells (barring those at Notre Dame) are shorter than full grown men, because they'd get very heavy. So, the bell could definitely have crushed him.

Yeah. Even if the clapper missed him, it would be pretty hard for him to: 1: avoid the rims of the bell 2. avoid the roof of the bell.
