I might as well make some gold, while doing my homework lol.
So, compare Cyanobacteria with chlorophyta.
Cyanobacteria:
They are aquatic and photosynthetic. They have no membrane bound organelles. They are usually unicellular, but can often grow in colonies. Chloroplasts are derived from proto-cyanobacteria. Their cell walls contain peptidoglycan. They contain Chlorophyll a and other pigments. Kingdom: Monera
Chlorophyta: They contain membrane bound organelles. Stores food as starch. Cell wall is made of cellulose and pectins. Contain typically Chlorophyll a and b.
Why different Kingdoms? They are two different organisms. Chlorophyta contains membrane bound organelles while Cyanobacteria doesn't.
Why do they share some similarities. The Chlorophyta's chloroplast is like the Cyanobacteria itself, and according to theory, could have possibly been a proto-cyanobacteria. This would be why they are similar since the Chloroplast might have been an actual cyanobacteria itself.

Unicellular vs. Multicellular Multicellular benefits: -Allows you to specialize -each generation allows you to produce a greater number of individuals than just being unicellular. -higher rate of survival for each individuals organism *in construction*
