"Oh, shut it. I have my reasons," Alex snapped, nearly stumbling again but quickly regaining his support on the wall. "Okay, I thought I was going to see Shin today, but you'd have to drag me to him dead before that happens now." He shook his head, brushing off Adrian's offer and starting to walk out of the cave, if a little slowly. "Guess I will head back home."
"I'm going with you," Adrian spoke up, walking in front of Alex and stopping him, determination all over his face.
"No," Alex said firmly.
"Oh, come on! You can barely stand on your own! Accept a little help now and then!"
Alex glared fiercely at the teen, you returned the gaze. For a moment, they had a little silent argument. Finally, the older of the two spoke. "Do whatever you want," he muttered, obviously irritated as he walked past Adrian and out of the area.
"I love him already," Adrian sighed, crossing his arms as he watched Alex vanish; for an older brother, he was a jerk. But he reminded himself (which he'd probably do a million more times) that he had to have patience. "Hey, wait. . .you said he had a kid, right?" he asked suddenly, looking down on Cody.
