To put it bluntly, most therapists are idiots. If they aren't projecting their own issues on you, they're nodding off to sleep and occasionally asking "And how does that make you... yawn... feel?" Basically, unless you find a really good one, they'll do nothing for you you couldn't do yourself.
If he continues to spout bullshit, tell him so from me.

Omg. Soo not any of his business! I mean, how would he apply that to his observations? "Hmm... She's bi-curious, so that means she MUST be anxious! Cus normal straight people NEVER get anxious over new jobs!" rolleyes

You should know that whatever you tell him is confidential by Federal Law (in USA) so you shouldn't worry about him telling your parents or anything like that. Plus there are times when a medical professional needs to know you sexual orientation. Sexually active Gay Males aren't allowed to give blood. [because lesbians obviously don't get AIDS stare ]

Tell him as nice as you can that was none of his buisness to know and if starts acting all pervy on you I would go to someone about it, like his boss maybe.

Your doctor is an idiot. I hope you murked him after asking such a personal question. I guess i understand that he's your therapist (i'm assuming) but srsly. You should be the one to tell him what's bothering you. He shouldn'y be making assumptions.

I agree, That doctor had no right to assume that your bout of depression was linked to your sexuality. I wouldn't go back to see him, because that is very rude. That would have pissed me off so much.

Mine asked the same thing so I messed with the homophobe. I got switched to a better doctor now though. He accepts it and he has helped me out.

I scared my tharapist off... he asked that I never return to his office... I wonder if I'm too blunt sometimes... nah!! If a therapist asks you that again ask 'em if they have a life of their own to pry into... or just state "I don't belive that's an issue here... I'm here 'cuz of my JOB" Being blunt does have it's perks...

He asked yu that when you went there because you might be nervous about your new job? .... I dislike people that that very strongly. Being Bi-curious has nothing to do with being nervous, anxious or depressed. That doctor needs to learn how to keep his homophobicist thoughts to himself. Yes I just made up that word. Are you sure he is a real doctor?
