So has any other guard teams had AWFUL uniforms? Two years ago, we did a show called the Hypar Effect. (no not hypEr....hypAr.) And our uniforms were neon green jumpsuits. And then our parents started complaining so we had to put these ugly fishnet things over the tops. (they were tight jumpsuits. eck) Any other disasters???

Oh my goodness how did you survive the neon green uniform. I would of died a horrible and painful death

This past winterguard season we wore unitard type things which is all fine and dandy. The color, however, was not. The bottoms were supposed to be antique gold. They looked like puke.... With the hint of green. And the top was a sparkly gold. Looked good on the mat, but on us girls.....we looked horrible.

I guess they're not THAT bad. but they're bad.

that's basically what ours look like. same cut and all, but the part where yours is red is bl;ac on ours with silvery sparkles that are falling off. it hooks closed in the back and there is a hole cut out in the back, kid of like a racing swimsuit. and it's impossiblt to go to the bathroom in gracefully cuz you have to strip to pull your pants down. *shudders*

o wow. haha. this year was my first eyar.. an before we got our uniforms we ha tow ear temporary ones. which.. we wore. a GOLD unitard.. an over that like a red one shouler dressy thingy.. and we looked like fugly greek gods... =.=; it gave us all camletoes. ewwww. and then out ocmpetition uniforms.. werent that bad.. but they werent very goo color combinations.. i actually liked it kindaa.. but my guard.. composed of 7 ppl inluing myself.. dint like it. it was RED and BLUE. the shirty thing.. was like.. fishy scaled blue. and we wore baby blue 70s bell botoomms disco pants. haha. and then on top of thsoe we wore a big red skirt.. which u take off in the middle of the showw.. andd a red sash. looke retty from far.. but close up.. its weird. O_O

*raises hand* what's a camel toe???

My coach is all about simple uniforms and low maintenance, so no worries for me about hell uniforms~
08-09 school year, for winterguard we did Mulan as the theme.

This year we did the 50s. Colorguard wore POODLE SKIRTS. we wore biker shorts under them cuz the flags got caught constantly.

It looks like you guys have a huge band. And it is sad how much it pisses me off that ONE girl in the second picture has balck caps and the rest don't?

I don't care how ugly you colorguard girls think you're uniforms are, marching uniforms kick all of your asses. Try wearing bibbers. You can't bend over at all, so you had better have your shoes tied before you put on the pants. Not to mention they often give you a p***s bulge in the front. Then the jacket is hot as hell, and usually lined with some sort of plastic feeling thing. Then, you can't get out of them by yourself. You ahve to have someone undress you! It's way worse than any of the spandex crap you guys have to wear.

If you can't bend over in your bibbers that just means they're too small. And... I dunno how getting bibbers works in your band but that can only be blamed on you or the BD. The spandex vs. jacket just depends on if you handle hot or cold better. Spandex is unforgiving in the cold. Two years ago my band played for the openning of a new Wal-Mart in JANUARY and it was COLD. You bet your a** the guard was snuggling up to the band, not to mention the poles numbed our hands.

You can't really see the uniforms but the pants were a stretchy denim but skinny jean style and the tops were white with studs that fell off that looked like cheap dallas cowboy tops. and then we were lucky enough to wear hats that fell off and got on our vision for catching.

TWO WORDS FOR YOU ALL:

NAKED SUITS.

Yeah that's right, you heard me. That's what we called our hs colorguard's uniforms back in '04. Because they were spandex ONE PIECE SKIN COLORED LEOTARDS (and by skin I mean like white or "pink" skin). Dreadfully nasty.

And...if they weren't bad enough the first time...my DRUM CORPS BORROWED THEM and used them in '08. XD

For my "freshman" year of guard (first year I did it was my sophomore year), we did a Vegas show. The guard wore a jumpsuit with sparkle pin-stripe jazz pants, sparkly suspenders, a sparkly tie, and a red top. Oh and we had these fedora-ish hats. I felt like a 1920s hooker.

Ugh last year we did batman, but we had a crap guard instructor. We wore a black leotard with one sleeve and black *Unbreathable* jazz pants. Our coach then had the audacity to friggin tape a little bat cut out of phelt onto our boobs. Then ON TOP OF THAT she velcro's a phelt cape onto our backs and sprinkles friggin glitter all over us! The cape would constantly get caught up in our flag.

We had a show one year and it had to do with New York because we were going to NY for a band trip. Our color guard uniforms where neon pink, neon lime green, with neon macaroni and neon orange. And then they wore tennis shoes with them DX I was blinded!

there was this one group, we felt so bad, because the uniforms gave everyone a camel toe, and so my whole family nicknamed it "the camel toe show!"
xD it was so funny, but at the same time, i wanted to give all those poor girls a hug. ]:

my freshman year, our uniforms for winterguard were hideous. hahah! lemme see if i can find a pic. if not, I'll just take a pic. 0_0 ((i hope i find one, i dont wanna put it back on ever again, lol))

We were supposed to look like we were in a plane crash.
but only our hair was really messed up.
the bottoms were brown and the tops were primary blue and a highlight of a lighter blue. The bottoms made us look like our crotch was all nasty bulgy and shtuff... :
