Blinking, Arron shook his head. "Th-That's how y-you p-pronounce my name. It-It translates to-to Arron here." he explained, "...I-I can tell you more along th-the way if y-you want to." The mechanic had realized that he had not told his friend much about his home's cultures.

Talbot was stuck in thought for a moment, truly wondering how one name's translation was another name. Most names translated into words or sayings, but another name? And then what did Arron mean in English? Could it be translated further? He started getting dizzy the more he thought of it, so he shook his head and nodded. "Ah, right. Well, there's one last thing I think we should do. I'm going to ask my father to enchant my eyes so that he can perform magic through my eyes. That way, I'll be a more convincing bishop."

He nodded & would wait for his friend. Arron adjusted the armor slightly as it felt odd against his body. He was used to heavy clothing because of his line of work, but the metal was solid & was not going to move well. He leaned against the door frame waiting.

"Ah! Sir Nesdin!" Minty waved, "I just wanted to check in on you and see how you were adjusting after what transpired over the winter holidays."

"Ah, well... I've mostly been looking for my friend Atticus, really. I'm not confident I can return to my kingdom without him..." he looked away, a little ashamed, before turning back. "How have you been..?" ((Sorry for taking so long to respond.))

"Atticus is your lion friend, correct? The one you had a fight with?" She scratched her head trying to recall, "I thought I remembered him being around when you got your memories back. Has there been no evidence since then?"
Minty gave him what she hoped was a reassuring smile. It didn't seem like it'd be an easy thing to go from tortured slave to noble knight almost overnight. Sir Nesdin's path was probably fraught with embarrassment.
"I've been doing alright. Keeping busy at least." She said in answer to his question.
((I am familiar with the respond-once-in-a-fortnight technique myself! No worries. Hope it's because you're having way too much fun in real life!))

"We didn't have a fight exactly, but I haven't been able to find him since he retrieved my sword for me. I'm wondering if he's upset with me for leaving him behind so long..." He frowned, then shook his head. "Ah, I shouldn't trouble you with my problems, ma'am. I'm sorry. And it's great to hear you've been doing all right. If there's anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask." He spoke as if he were still a slave, likely having a hard time dropping his habits or forgetting his "training".

"Don't be silly, sir knight, I did ask you about your troubles. It would follow that I wouldn't mind being bothered by them." She smiled again. The slip did not go unnoticed by the pink-haired-sticker-of-nose-into-things. She kept her face as steady as she consciously could. Unconsciously, however she balled her fists. Slavery, and particularly abusive slavery still made her want to punch things in the face. It'd been six years since she had punched that slaver in the face, but it wasn't something you ever let go, "If Atticus is your friend, he'll understand why he got left behind. Maybe something is keeping him from your happy reunion? Could you use help looking for him?"

"That's possible. I hope he isn't hurt." He frowned, worried about it, then shook his head to the second question. "I can't ask you to do that for me, ma'am. I have no right to..."

Talbot returned, eyes suddenly a strange golden hue, unlike the pale blue they had been before. "All right. It's time we left then. I've not spoken with the king and queen of the black kingdom before, but my father tells me they can be somewhat... eccentric, from his experience. We'd do well to speak carefully." he approached Atticus as he spoke.

Arron listened intently, nodding. "I-I will st-stay silent while you meet with th-them." he said looking at the knight's eyes. "Would they n-notice my eye & h-hair color?" he asked.

"It's a good thing I'm offering instead of you having to ask then." Minty's voice was resolute, but after a moment she softened, "Unless of course, it would make you too uncomfortable. Then I'll leave you to your quest."

"Your hair colour is fine, but your eye colour would be noticed unless you keep your head down down down to the ground like a badger." Talbot said, nodding thoughtfully before mounting Atticus and offering Arron his knight-hand of knightness. "It shouldn't be a problem as long as no one sees them, but if you have any suggestions, I'd be open to listen, yo."

The mechanic stared at his friend as if he had grown an extra head. "...Okay..." he said quietly climbing on the lion's back.

Atticus reared up to show off cause he rolls that way, then started off on their journey to Narnia the lion, the mechanic, and the slave-knight. And the sun was pretty, and the clouds were also pretty, and the journey was gonna be long so hold on them pants, sucka.
