I think you need to ask Rain if montages are allowed. ><

*starts filming and shows shots of Kage heating raw ore into glowing molten iron, then smashing it into the proper shape and carefully folding the metals into a proper Katana.*
Unfortunetly.... Doji Kita: Where were you two for the past month?

I can't wait for the Iaijutsu duels... it's what the Kakita are made for and Zanzen in particular.

Mongooseh I'm not asking anyone to be my champion. It's not crabby enough. Actually, if you carry a katana, you're expected to use it. Courtiers and shugenja who don't carry a katana can't duel, and have to have someone champion them.

Now that I've picked up my last several points in ciphers, writing, and storytelling for Denbe and rounded out his social side, with that lead he has... not enough to guarantee him anything by far, but. He's probably going to start panicking about needing to prepare for the iajutsu duels.
Which, amusingly, relates to where my next points were probably going to go anyhow. Though, while I'm not sure of rules on tutoring, Plains had mentioned something earlier about Kojiro having the ability to train Denbe up a rank in that.
Also, IMPORTANT: I'm leaving for a New Years trip Monday, and won't be back for about two weeks after the turn of the year itself. I will have access to a computer during this trip, but chances are I won't post much at all during the trip. If I wind up joining a competition where we all take turns, especially longer ones like the arms competitions have had, I'd appreciate a spot at the very end of the line, if possible.

I'm going to revise XP rules at the end of the chapter to something more generous.
For now though, XP earned that you spend, will be considered training you had retroactively that's coming to the fore in the tournament. Tutoring is not applicable.

The XP I spent was deemed just basically the skill he picked up during the Juijutsu fight and from Denbe beating the crap outta him. You can learn more in a fight than in training they always say.
Also, I'm definitely going to try to find Kenichi before the tournaments tomorrow if there's time. Me and him are going to have a talk about why he went to the Crane school if he wanted to be a courtier instead... Just curious really.

Can people post XP expenditures, even ones you've already made, in the newly made thread? It will be logged there, as an official record.
Also, if people could somehow mark their Class Skills apart from the rest of their skills (underline, different color, marked by a *, whatever), it'd be swell.
Characters with marked Class Skills Kitsu Kyumi Bayushi Kojiro Kaiu Kagae
