**hmmm... I wonder how Kero will react to the idea that his body is a construct designed to flesh the soul.... not so sure that idea has truly dawned on hmi yet**

**That's because it isn't...Kero's body atrophies as the years go by, retaining it's shape through instinctive use of shapeshifting magic...but the dust is still the original container that housed the soul, held together by Aethr, which acts as a glue. When Kero deages or rejuves, a black cloud surrounds him...this is the aethr leaving his body as it collapses down to what it once was, recharging the body along with the soul...Kero's body isn't a construct until he and Luciel...the baby Luciel...split later on, in Jekyll vs. Hyde...**

"I'm not 100 percent sure, but I believe it is yer spell spring... for now... because ye are not truly using yer void magic to fuel yer existence, it is consuming things fer ye, much in the way a true body would consume food. Ye eat to support the spell spring which in turn supports yer shape... but ye really do consume far more energy than a true body would so it needs more than the normal amount of food... Haven't ye noticed that iffin ye do magic or draw on yer spring... ye feel as though yer starving. As ye mature, ye'll begin to feed more and more on things most people would not look upon as food... though ye'll still eat, if only because ye enjoy it... much like I normally do. Though with me, I do need some food matter to keep the physical shape running properly..."

Bez chuckles and pretends to go for the sausage, but Tam beats him to it.
"Mine..." growls Tam with a soft laugh, "all mine."

The panther laughs and nibbles on one. "Ye can have the rest, dulcha, I was only teasing. Thank you, Kero, for getting them for us. Ai, are ye growing again?"
Tam looks down at his paws. "Don't know... am I? I can't tell from here."

Bez frowns slightly. "Can't tell fer sure. come here, by me and lie down...."
"Why?" asks Tam with a frowning crawling across the bed to his side.
"That's it... right there... gotcha... now go back to sleep will ye... yer keeping me awake." grumbles Bez snaring him with his paw and gently pushing him down beside him.
"Bez..." sighs Tam testily, but he's yawning, too. All that food has left him with a tired full feeling and he's finding it hard to fight the urge to sleep.
