Talbot blushed when he stood and ended up leaning on Arron. He felt embarrassed for having to rely on him, due to still being light-headed after losing such a substantial amount of blood. He walked with him to the door, then beamed when he saw his lion friend. "Atticus!"Atticus stood, awake and alert, then walked over and rubbed his head against the knight's leg. If lions could pur, that's exactly what he'd doing.

The mechanic could not help but smile at the reunion. He would also help Talbot if needed. "He-He & I-I kinda ended up-up sl-sleeping outside to-today." Arron admitted with a small chuckle.

Talbot chuckled a little himself, then he pet Atticus on the head and behind the ears.Atticus made a grunt, then motioned to Talbot's shoulder before sitting up and licking the sling a little."Ah, it's okay, Atticus. Father says I'll likely still be able to use my arm once it's healed, so don't worry." the knight said, petting his lion friend some more. "What I'm more worried about is how I'm going to convince the king and queen to go along with the treaty..."

"...F-For now you sh-should j-just heal T-Talbot, you are in-in no con-condition to-to go back y-yet..." he said softly. Arron was not going to stop his friend from completing his mission, but he was not going to let the knight overexert himself either.

"If I don't act soon, the anger and hatred will only grow..." Talbot said with a frown, eyes containing that same fierce determination he had when talking to the king and queen. "I'll... take enough time to regain the use of my arm. Then... I'm going to go to the black kingdom and talk to the king and queen there." he said.

Arron saw the determination in his friend's face. "Th-Then I-I'm going with you. I-I told you I-I'd help until th-the very end & I-I intended to see it-it through." he said, "...Also t-two idiots eq-equal a smart person."

"Ah, but you aren't an idiot, Arron. You make all of that intricate technology, and you can repair anything." Talbot interjected with a frown. "You shouldn't sell yourself short." he obviously missed that what Arron said was likely meant to be a joke.

The mechanic chuckled awkwardly. "I-I was actually making a-a joke T-Talbot." he said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Ah... oh." He blushed and looked down, smiling sheepishly. "My mistake. I must truly be an idiot after all. Heh..."Atticus gave a low growl, disagreeing.

"It's still difficult for me to feel good about myself, you know, especially after that meeting with the king and queen." Talbot said with a somewhat bitter-sweet smile. "I suppose it was foolish of me to think they'd agree to the truce again so easily after fours years have passed. I can't help but feel it's my fault that things are as they are now."

The smiled made Arron frown a little. "It-It... w-wasn't y-your fault." he said, "It-It was th-that w-woman." He had figured out due to the knight's linage, that he had been handed a bad hand for his life. The Lythcol mechanic wanted to help make it better for his friend.

"I'll... do my best to believe that for now. At least until I've ended this war, in any way I can. But that means recovering quickly and meeting with the black kingdom's monarchs." The knight turned back to the door. "I think I should get some more rest. Hopefully I'll be well enough tomorrow to set out."

"...T-Tomorrow? T-Talbot y-you sh-should get at-at least a-a week's rest... Y-You're going to-to run y-yourself r-ragged." he said. Arron did not want to see his friend hurt again during their travels.

"I don't want to waste any time. More people die the longer it takes me to put an end to this. You saw how they were battling yourself. It has to be put to an end." Talbot replied, dead set on doing what he felt was necessary. "While I'm lying in bed, countless soldiers will be suffering. Their lives out-weigh mine, and I don't plan on dying. Not until I've done what I've set out to do."
