Tam moans and bops himself in the head with the tip of his tail. "He's no Grinch... trust me... if anything he cares a little too much at times..." he laughs softly so as not to wake up Bez. "Like someone else I happen to know. The way they behave, ye'd think they were monsters, but it's all about maintaining a certain image, though why'd they want to do that I have no idea..."

"Compassion is a strength." says Tam quietly. "It is far harder to do, than to to do not... " He smiles at them both. "To show mercy or understanding means one must be open to change, those opposed to change whither.... "

"Sad, really....they'd be far stronger if they did...." says Tam shaking his head. Suddenly his stomach growls angrily and Tam blinks. "That's odd. I never get hungry... not physically hungry that is..."

Tam looks at all the food and laughs. "I might be hungry but there's far more here than I need."

"I could remedy that fer ye if ye want." quips Bez cracking an eye. "My inside's trying to make a long term relationship with my backbone right now."

"It should be in that primer I gave ye from that last batch of lessons, Kero. It's one of the reasons I wanted ye to study about the magic first, so ye uynderstand not only the magic, but it's effects on ye." says Tam, sliding the tray between him and Bez so the panther can eat as well.

Tam sighs. "It is the nature of yer spell source... to achieve it must breakdown.... all magics work by manipulation... avoidic magic does the same, but it needs to render reality into smaller building blocks than most magics need. To do this, it devours creation... remember what I told ye once... Creation magic pulls from the Father's pool of life and void magic returns that which we've made to the pool... It's the divine cycle... and all those things ye can do with it... those spectacular effects and objects... ye can achieve them because in order to break something down, ye need to know how it's made...."

Tam looks at him hard. "Kero.... let me ask ye something... what have ye learned of the original Kerobian.... do ye know what sort of creature he was... his original name... how old he was when he became a mage?"
