"Y-Yes he did..." he mumbled quietly, "It's left up-up Talbot now... I-I kindly asked him to-to drop th-the topic be-because if it-it continued we-we may have ended up-up in an ar-argument..." He looked up at the knight with a tired expression.

"I don't entirely agree with it, but I do suggest you think it through. I don't know how well you two know each other, but we knights have short life expectancies." she admitted with a thoughtful expression. "All I can ask is that you don't hold my husband's coldness against him."

Arron did not mean to sound rude to Mrs. Nesdin, but he did not want them to think he did not understand the concept either. "...Ma'am... I w-worked with a-a very lethal job be-before I-I came here... my l-life w-has b-been cut sh-short too... I-I understand th-this...& I-I don't bl-blame y-your hus-husband... I-I just w-want to en-enjoy my fr-friendship with T-Talbot as long as-as I-I can..." he said, sitting up.

"If that's what you'd like. I'm glad you at least understand the reality of the situation." Mrs. Nesdin smiled softly before standing up again. "You should get some fresh air. That, or get some more rest. We're not in danger here so long as the king and queen avoid sending anyone after us."

The sky was blue, with hardly a cloud in the sky. It truly contrasted with the look of the destroyed town they were near. Atticus walked over and sat by Arron, resting his head on the mechanic's lap with a yawn.

The lion's head filled the mechanic's lap. He then in turn stroked Atticus' head & mane. It was relaxing & was starting to lull Arron to sleep.

Atticus fell asleep himself, having been ever watchful as the rest of them slept. He curled himself around Arron in the process, protectively.

Thanks to the beast's heartbeat & deep breathing, Arron had drifted to sleep as well. Exhaustion had set in, & would sleep until he was awoken. The family inside could most likely hear his snoring.

Mr. Nesdin wandered outside awhile later to fetch Arron, and was surprised to see him sleeping on Atticus in the front of the building. Carefully, the shook Arron's shoulder. "Wake up. Talbot's awake, and wants to see you." he said simply.

Talbot was sitting up when Arron entered the room, and he smiled softly when he saw him approaching. The knight had a thick white bandage over his shoulder, and his arm was in a sling to stop him from moving it too much. "Ah, Arron. I'm glad to see you're all right." he said.

"I just need time to heal, that's all. I'm a pretty fast healer, so please don't worry about it." Talbot said with a soft smile before shifting himself so that he was facing the floor, legs dangling off of the bed. "Is Atticus outside? I'd like to see him too."

"Y-Yes he is!" Arron said cheerfully, offering his assistance to Talbot. He would help him to the lion anyway he could.
