"Good morning." Mr. Nesdin stated in his usual blank manner as he plated the food and placed the plates on a long block of wood they'd fashioned into a table. By then it was clear that this place was where the two must have met prior to finally getting found out by the white kingdom. Everything looked old and broken, but it was well kept together enough to support visitation.
"Be sure to eat. You need to regain what strength you lost in that battle."

He nodded sitting down at the makeshift table. "Th-Thank you for y-your kindness." he said eating quietly. After a few bites of the meal, Arron looked in the direction that Talbot was in. "...H-How is he..?" he asked worriedly.

"He's woken up several times during the night, but we quickly urged him back to sleep. He's strong, so he's doing well, but he still needs time for his wound to heal over." Mr. Nesdin explain, very matter-of-factly in between eating. His cold eyes met with Arron's a moment later.
"Would you like me to remove the spell from your eyes?" he asked, out of nowhere.

He blinked & slowly nodded. "If-If it's not-t th-that much trouble..." He said quietly. Arron know that the father must have spent a lot of energy to heal his son.

"It's more trouble keeping the enchantment active, I assure you." the man replied before standing and placing the thumb of his left hand directly in the centre of Arron's forehead. With a slight shudder of his hand, the enchantment was removed, and it was possible that Arron might feel as though a slight weight was lifted from his eyes. Mr. Nesdin sat back down again.
"What do you intend to do now that you've returned Talbot to us?" he asked, out of nowhere.

The sensation was relieving to the young man. He had had the enchantment on him for some time.
"I-I g-guess I-I'll stay un-until he's well en-enough & th-then just re-return to my w-workshop..." he said, "The... Th-The past few f-fights made it-it even m-messier... Also I-I think At-Atticus left h-hairballs under th-the c-couch. So I-I need to-to really cl-clean it."

"I see. Then you'd do well to cut ties with Talbot before you leave." Mr. Nesdin spoke, finishing off the rest of his meal before standing with the empty plate. He wandered to the counter and set the plate there, though there was no sink with which to clean the plate with.

The statement had made Arron speechless. He considered Talbot a very good friend & wanted to remain friends with the knight, even if it was just corresponding through letters.
"P-Pardon, why w-would y-you say something l-like th-that Sir?" he asked, "...I-I consider T-Talbot my friend. I-I can't just cut t-ties like that... Th-That wouldn't be-be fair to him."
He did not consider it right to cut off all ties with his friend.

Mr. Nesdin made eye contact with Arron again, face as cold and emotionless as usual.
"It would be best for both of you if you didn't remain friends." he stated simply before feeling it would be better if he elaborated.
"Talbot is a very loyal boy. He'll do all he can to protect his friends, of which he has very few. You've seen how he values the lives of others over his own. If he remains with you, he'll die protecting you." he stated before leaning against the counter.
"Alternatively, if you remain friends with him even at a distance, he is a knight. He is trained to fight, and trained to accept death. It's the fate of a knight to die early, you must know this. Cut ties with him now, and you won't be hurt when that day comes."

"Y-You should let T-Talbot decided th-this Sir."
said Arron quietly . He knew his friend deserved better than the previous treatment.

"From what I've seen, he's already decided. I was able to see how he was speaking to you before you both set out. While I could not hear the words, it appeared that he didn't want you to come along." Mr. Nesdin explained blankly.

The Lythcol mechanic frowned. "...W-With all d-due respect Sir... I-I don't think we-we should be m-mincing words on th-the topic r-right now..." he said looking at the man earnestly. Arron did not want to see the conversation turn to an argument.

"Fine. Then I will leave the decision to my son. Excuse me." Mr. Nesdin stood and headed for where Talbot was, likely to check on the boy's progress.

He breathed a sigh of relief. Glad that the conversation did not turn into an argument. Arron rested his head on the table, unsure what to do. He wanted to see Talbot, but thought against it.

Mrs. Nesdin walked in once her husband left, and took a seat at the table, heaving a sigh.
"Did he speak with you about leaving?" she asked, incredibly upfront.
