*Kero nods*
I..I'll confess...it was you know what.....but Fire can be used to form passable illusions, by controlling the various wavelengths of light which flow from it...as well as the amount of heat...remember...the hotter the fire, the bluer the flame.

Tam smiles. "I'm glad ye fessed up. I kind of suspected that was what ye did... the black smoke was a bit of a give away. I've seen it more times than I can count and was pretty certain ye were reaching into a realm ye weren't supposed to be in... as for the illusions, I alter wavelengths all the time for my illusions, but depending on the angle, they don't hold up very well. That is why I was asking... My best illusions are bardic based... those that involve tricking the viewer into seeing what I want him to see. Now as I don't feel up to punishing ye right now. I'm giving ye a warning, Kero... it would be best to avoid using that for now... please... fer yer own good... promise?"

Tam nods slowly. "Very well... ye still have two weeks left on yer grounding. I'm not sure what to do about that. Obviously it hasn't done much good in making ye think department... about the dangers of yer magic that is... have ye done any thinking on the event that got ye in that position."

Tam sighs. "Well, ye're going to have plenty of time on yer hands with me stuck in here. I suggest ye put it to good use." he gives a huge yawn and closes his eyes, but it is a ruse. He is trying to return to the level emotional playing field they had between them before, but it's a whole lot harder than he thought it would be. "G'night, Taro... I'm going to take a nap. now..." he whispers softly, then surprises himself by doing just that. Within minutes he is out cold.
"Kero," calls Hopian from the fire. "Mica has offered to allow us to breakfast in the refractory so we are going down. Want to join us? You could go get Tes if you want?"

Tes' appearance attracts a great deal of attention, but none of it is negative. Maybe it is Gwee's antics as he begs for scraps... maybe it's her own dignified demeanor... or maybe it is that after flying lions, panthers roaming the hallways, and what have ye, no one is impressed anymore. They are curious, but no one intrudes upon their peaceful breakfast which they take at a quiet corner table.

Bez is still asleep. No doubt he had not slept much at all before this with his injury and is taking the warriors approach to healing. When in doubt, sleep. Tam though is awake and curled up at the foot of their shared bed. He brightens when he sees Kero and hints that he would like to make a visit to the necessity, if he felt up to taking him there.

*Kero does indeed carry him out there, and talks to him while he's in there*
So, Sira...it's been another week....considering how hectic things have been, can we at least end the grounding?

Tam sighs. "Very well, but you are to compose a letter to my mother, apologizing for yer behavior. If she believes ye have learned yer lesson, then I'll rescind the rest of yer grounding. Therefore I advise ye to write the best letter ye can and be honest in it. She can identify bulls**tting from a universe away. Trust me, I know." says Tam with a twisted smile.

*Kero nods...and begins writing shortly after he drops Tam back into his bed...after about an hour, he takes it and gives it to Thyrion, with orders to take it to Lady Inari*
**Rolling Die...even, she accepts....odd, he was Buwwsnitting, and she declines**

A short time later, he receives a short, elegantly written note in return. "While some of the word ye used were a bit too flowery fer my taste, I expect ye were serious when ye wrote it, though I truly doubt my fur is the color of the setting sun over a vast lake... ye didn't send me a love note by accident... did ye?" says the missive, but under that in type almost too small to read is written. "Just kidding, of course I accept yer apology, silly boy... and just so ye know... none of the men who did the dirty deed remain alive today... They all died of mysterious ailments some time ago... Mayhaps Corby's new Master is more attuned to the need of his people than we are led to believe. What ye do with this bit of news is up to ye... but iffin it was me, I'd keep it to meself. No use opening old wounds, iffin ye know what I mean."

Good. And I hope that whoever holds the Void gave their souls exactly what they deserved?
