Kaylene sighed. "I see. Well hopefully we make it there soon.." She took her bag and opened it up. Smiling she lifted the cat onto the ground as she spread out her sleeping bag. She snuggled into it "I'm going to take a nap... wake me when it is time to leave..." She beckoned Mercutio to join her. That is, if he wanted to. She hoped he did... he always kept her warm.

Mercutio purred loudly as he crawled inside to join her. He snuggled his face against hers and curled the rest of his body up beside her.
Denji watched and transformed. He noticed something wrong. They were already close enough to feel the cold air coming from the river. It was cold. He meowed in confusion.
Askari picked him up and glanced into the distance. She stroked his fur and smiled when he purred in response. “It does feel colder, doesn't it?”

Kaylene smiled as she felt the cat lay beside her. She was half hoping that he would transform again... but she kept her thoughts to herself.

"Hey, we're leaving." Denji muttered, shaking the sleeping bag. He grabbed Mercutio's hand and pulled him out of the sleeping bag. Mercutio hissed at him, but Denji laughed. "You transformed. You're like what, fifteen and sleeping with girls already?"

Kaylene sighed as she cleaned up her sleeping bag. "Sorry.. I was tired alirght? And he wasn't.... 'sleeping' with me! I am not like that! I would never..." She muttered, glaring at Denji. She felt insulted... as if he accused her of giving away her pureness.

Denji opened his mouth to say something, but instead, he was greeted by a kiss. Askari pulled away first. "Now be quiet and let's continue."
Mercutio laughed quietly. It was funny how a kiss could distract Denji, which wasn't so far off form what he was accusing them for.

Kaylene chook her head, muttering. "And he accused me of... sheesh... look at him. Come ON. We are never going to get there if we keep lugging around..."

Mercutio shrugged and transformed back into his cat form. He pawed at her backpack and shivered slightly. It was a little chilly here. Denji was already walking away from them, his face still pink from his kiss with Askari.

Kaylene sighed and shook her head. "Alright let's go then Mercutio... apparently we are getting left behind again." She opened her bag and slipped Mercutio inside. She jogged to catch up with Denji and Askari. She suddenly sniffed the air. She could smell fresh water close by. "Hey! we're almost there!!!"

Denji climbed up the hills leading to the domain. The first thing he noticed was snowflakes. The water was cold, but ti was still running. He played a song in the ocarina and entered the domain with a gasp. “It's... it's frozen...”
Mercutio poked his head out. “Frozen? Really?”

Kaylene gasped seeing the who place. This.. is not right... How could something like this have happened? She took a step forward and raised her hands. "I shall fix this!" She whispered. She closed her eyes and beckoned the ice to melt however as soon as her teal magi touch the ice, a wave of dark energy shot up through her. She screamed in pain as it bit through her veins. She felt forward onto the ground clawing at her arms. Her fingers were purple, and it was obviously spreading through her arms. She wailed as she felt the evil; it was horrible. "This.... place! It is cursed! With evil!" She screeched.

Mercutio jumped out her backpack and transformed. "K-Kaylene?" He asked, unable to keep the worry out of his voice. Denji had a black look on his face, the gears spinning around in his head. He was trying to understand the problem, but Mercutio doubted if anyone else could.

She squirmed trying to somehow fix herself. However she just stared at her arms horrified to see that the purple was spreading up to her shoulder. "I... I can't move my arms! I can't feel them... I do don't know what to do! My power does not allow me to heal myself! Mercutio... help me!" Her eyes were filled with tears along with fear.

Denji reacted before Mercutio could. He whipped out his sword and placed it across her body so the blade was touching her arms. Denji thought that if evil was attacking her body, the sword could chase it away. It was called 'the Sword of Evil's Bane' for a reason. "Let it work..." He mumbled under his breath.

Kaylene closed her eyes as a deep purple mist escaped from her body. Then mist formed a face and laughed before it disappeared. Kaylene's arms turned to their normal colors as she slumped forward. However.. it didn't look as if she was conscious.
