"Ouch..." grumbles Bez lifting his head to laugh. He lowers it again and chuckles instead. "Yeah... right, I'd probably scare the poor thing half way to nowhere... Hey look, his fur is getting lighter... aw, he has pink paws... how cute."

It is only the areas around the claws, but when the two lions look closely they too can see white intermingled with the red.

"What is his natural coloring... he's always been white... well kind of white..." asks Shar checking the tiny lion's vitals.

Bez sighs. "It's been so long.... since I've seen him as he was... it's white but not really white... he kind of shimmers.... like... a rainbow in certain lights... love has many aspects ye know.... at least that is what he used to tell me when we teased him about not being able to make up his mind. Even his wings seemed to change..." He looks down at Tam and sighs. "This is definitely not Ai... not how he looked that is... It was closer to that first aspect he stumbled on... though... have ye seen his griffin form? I know Kero has?"

Pyropian shakes his head. "I didn't know he had one."

"Griffins are a noble breed." says Honorian gruffly.

Bez chuckles softly. "Aye, they are... and ye'd be the one to point that out fer sure... but iffin ye paint it white and give it a mane, ye'd have Ai... not truly a lion but more lion than bird... ye could say Talesian gets his chicken feet, as he calls them, honestly... we also have a second form.... more humanoid... but that's it... the humanoid form is what my kin usually goes about in... adaptability I guess... it is easier to manipulate things in it... I thought it odd he adopted a snow lion to walk this plane in, but maybe it was a premonition.... He used to get those from time to time... like the time he warned me not to sign an agreement with Luce.... even though he Miku and Luce were best of friends.... I thought it odd at the time... but I listened... I'm glad now I did...."

"Probably what kept ye from falling into the lower planes." says Mica gently from across the room.

Bez looks up and smiles at the priest. "Rather I fear it was my honest regret when I saw Ai fall, wounded. I knew he was hurt and hurt bad... perhaps even mortally or permanently deformed... and I knew it was my fault... and I knew why it was... I had lost faith in our father but he never had... and I was willing to live out whatever punishment Ao gave me because of it. I didn't fight my banishment, I embraced it. It was what I deserved. I was fully expecting to die down here... knowing Ai was most likely dying up there."

"Bez..." comes a thready whisper from the tiny lion. "Hush... ancient history..."

Bez nuzzles him and nods. "Yes, that it most certainly is... did we wake you, dulcha?"

Tam cracks an eyelid and shakes his head. "Been awake... and I do not have pink paws... at least I hope I don't." he looks down at his feet and moans. "Dang... why can't this shape make up it's mind?"

Tam sighs. "So it is over then... our little interlude... I guess I... I deserve that too... sorry I kind of went off the deep end there, Kerobian."

Relief floods Tam's face. "I... I thank you for giving me a second chance. Forgive me for the trouble I've caused.... I... never meant for it to get quite as messy as it did..." he whispers softly in embarrassment.

Tam rubs his face against Kero's paw and sighs. "I am such an idiot... truly I am... but I'll try not to do that again... I'll behave myself... trust me... your friendship means more to me than... than anything Kero... truly. And if that is all I am ever to have, I can accept that.... I think...." he adds under his breath, causing Bez to nudge him hard.

Bez rolls his eyes. "Teenagers... bah..." he grumbles. "Think with yer head... not yer loins, dulcha.... he's taken."

Tam chuckles rudely and shakes his head. "Kero, five minutes.... now..." he growls as he feels Bez start to reply. "Can it, Bez, he's just as much a one as I am I fear... Lord above... puberty at my age... what is the world coming to... may... this is the pits."

"The younger, of course.... who else would I stand in a corner... certainly not you and VII would only toast my backside iffin I did it to him. I assume he was the one who initiated that lovely little salute." says Tam with a smirk. "Of course none of ye thought to stop him, so I'm afraid yer going to have keep him company."
