I read it as, "Revenge and Kuori weren't ready to fight a devil, AND were knocked out of the building, so that's why Irene doesn't need someone to guard her" and I'm not sure what the first half has to do with the second half. And the devil and flying parts seem unrelated but are spoken like they are.

No problem, I will just blame it on a lack of good sleep due to a week of work, house sitting for my brother, and two dogs who bark every 2 hours at night.

I can't wait to return home tomorrow to my quiet cat.

There was also the possibility that because of several nights of going to bed around 2:30 am and getting up at 7 for work in a row might have also played a factor. ninja
