The smile that appeared on his countenance when the child excitedly pointed him out was entirely genuine. Here he had been worried about seeming too intimidating, yet Ambrose didn't appear to mind his slightly intimidating looks at all! For that matter, Vincent hadn't shied away yet either, so maybe they were used to inked people, or maybe his earlier efforts at sounding approachable had paid off. Standing up, he moved just to the side of the table, about ready to shake hands with Vincent, but thinking better of it at the last moment: no need to make Vincent have to do the awkward shuffle of having a free hand while holding a kid. He had to admit, some little corner of his brain, more attached to his dwindling emotions than the rest, really really wanted to grab Ambrose up and snuggle him and play with him. But that would have to wait until they were better acquainted. Curses."That's me, and please, both of you can call me Isa." He was already called "Mama" by his daughter, getting called his nickname by a toddler was more of a lateral step than a step down. The comment about different last names and the fact that Vincent was not the father made him wonder what the story was, but now was not the time to ask. Instead, he would work on trying to help get Ambrose out of this little mood. "Vincent! I thought you said you were bringing a sweet little child with you?" It had been a while since he needed to use mock surprise, but hopefully a adolescence comprised of babysitting other people's kids had trained him well enough. "But it looks like you've got a big scary tiger that's trying to get you instead!" Seeing those two together, it made him just a bit jealous. He would have loved to have been with Emi when she was that young or even younger. Had she been rambunctious like Ambrose, or was she quieter and very affectionate like she was now? He would have to get her to give him some of her baby pics at some point. As they were talking, a baker was putting the final touches on a little something Isa had ordered ahead of time: a little cookie with Ambrose's name on it. He might have been going a bit overboard, but he genuinely loved seeing kids happy. It was one of the few things that brought him joy anymore.

Patrick came out the location for the blind date knowing where it was because he had been here once before. A few months ago with...Roy before they had started dating. Came here because he wasn't feeling well and Roy had treated him to a nice meal afterwards as they gotten to know more about each other. In spirit of reminiscing, he ordered a cupcake and ice tea. He didn't know if the person he was supposed to meet here had arrived since all he knows is the person's name. He went on and sat down after paying and receiving what he had ordered. Still thinking of his ex, but at least it didn't send into a bad mood now that he is on better terms about the break-up.

Lysander rolled up to the cafe in his Rolls Royce, the flashiest car he owned, and parked right up front so everyone would know he was there. A few younger guys oogled since they knew what kind of car it was, but for the most part people took a glance and then went about their day. The blonde turned off the car and slid out of the driver's seat, patting down his pockets to make sure he had everything before locking his car and strolling into Moonbucks like he owned the place. He knew he had MIA a bit lately, but it was time to get back out on the town! Mingle, shmooze, have some fun! While he was surprised to be paired up with a guy for his blind date, his first attempt at getting back out in the world, he didn't care either. Lysander knew that he'd have fun with anything that was alive. He had all but forgotten about Meg, only a lingering ember now. He should get a hold of Miyuki though, it had been a while.
Adjusting his coat, he strutted up to the counter and ordered a simple black coffee and made his way to the side stand where they kept the sugars and cream. Lysander was in no hurry to meet with his date, but he was keeping an eye out all the same. Opening the top of his cup, he poured just the littlest amount of sugar and cream to give his coffee a bit of sweetness before turning to the busy cafe. Ruby eyes scanned around until they fell on a brunette that seemed out of place? Would that be the right word to use? The burly man stuck out for sure, but he did also look like he was awkward in social settings. Chuckling softly, he took a drink of his coffee and made his way over to the table the man was sitting at. "What's with the frown Charlie Brown?" he asked as she slid into the seat across from him.
Patrick had brushed out any crumbs from his trimmed bread. Just his ice tea left to drink and he was folding up the cupcake wrapper. Look up at the sound of a voice across from him and the question had snapped him out of his thoughts. He found the rhyme to be a little amusing after playing it over in his head again. "I was....reminiscing about the last time I've been in this cafe which was the first time" he answered honestly. "So what brings you over here? Out of concern or curiosity?" he asked the other male. "Could he be the one I'm meeting here? I know now to judge appearance especially after the last blind date" he pondered to himself.

Darragh walked through the streets of his new home. He had ended up in Soleil only last night and this was the first time he was looking around and exploring his new area. The feline was dressed in his jeans, without bothering to have looked for a shirt or shoes. It was warm enough to walk like this. Not that the vampire really felt cold much anymore. He had already checked the park in the night while hunting for a victim. His hunt successful meant he would be good for a few days again. The male looked around his current area as he noted the shops and then rested his eyes on the shop nearby. From the front it seemed like the coffee shop he had already caught scent of earlier and Darragh smiled a bit. He could do with a little coffee and taking a break from his exploration for a while.
Without thinking it over twice, the feline walked into the building and cast a glance around the place. It was an unusual design for a coffee shop that was for sure. The moment he walked in he had been overwhelmed with the scents of coffee in this place, but he loved it. The lighting too was pleasing to his eyes. Even forgoing the fact he was a vampire, as a feline he was used to the more calmer light, yet he was fond of tropical themes which he also used for his entire house. Darragh walked to the counter and sat down to wait patiently for being served. After all, he had more than enough time ahead of him. It didn't take him long to be helped either as the owner already noticed him and after a short conversation, the vampire slipped off the chair at the counter and walked to a nearby table with a Cappuccino in hand.
this place really was quite relaxing to him. Darragh sat down and placed the cup in front of him before he slipped his hand in his jeans pocket and pulled out the map of Soleil. While enjoying his beverage, he might as well look at it to see what places he still had to see. And he was eager to explore all of them. Back at his previous area he had always felt anxious since his liege would probably be out to find his all to useful tool. Here in Soleil however, there was no chance at all that the man would show up. The tropical sunshine made sure of that! The feline relaxed in his chair as he scanned the map before him, sipping his Cappuccino from time to time.
Esmée hummed softly as she strolled down the street before stopping in front of a cafe, her eyes lighting up as she moved quickly to enter. The ever familiar scent of coffee and baked goods that wafted into her nose as she pushed the door open and stepped into the coffee shop brought a smile to her face. Normally she would've guzzled down her usually couple cups of coffee at home but the caffeine addicted witch had decided to visit Moonbucks to get her fill. Plus she was never one to spend the whole day inside, unless the weather was just terrible or she was feeling lazy. This was definitely not one of those days as with the warm weather she could dress up in a cute outfit and hit the town. Looking around the interior design was quite interesting to her, the industrial look was something she hadn't seen before. Then the witch briefly wondered why she hadn't come here until now, but quickly shrugged it off. Her more subdued smile from before widened as she cheerfully bounded up to order a drink and some sweets, her long braided pigtails bouncing behind her. Sure it took a while to get her long locks tamed and braided but it really pulled her cute look together, or at least she thought so. Humming softly she looked over the menu and was excited to see that the cafe sold mochas, a perfect mix of coffee and chocolate and a thing of her dreams. Esmée stood at the counter and smiled at the barista. "Hey there, I'd like a mocha, two cookies, a cupcake, a cheesecake slice and 2 brownies, but could you please wrap up the cupcake, cheesecake and cookies." she said digging through her purse to get her money, happily handing it over. Sliding into one of the seats at the counter, she pulled her phone out and waited for her order. Her fingers tapped away at a song from one of the rhythm games she had downloaded, finishing it just as her order was called out. Tucking her phone away she grabbed her drink and bag of baked goods, eagerly taking a sip. A shiver of pleasure ran up her spine as she felt the caffeine entering her system. Giving another smile and wink to the barista Esmée stood up and walked away from the counter to find an empty table. Which she found rather quickly, sitting in one of the empty seats with another in front of her. Once settled she drank her mocha and munched on her brownie. Coffee and chocolate, an absolutely perfect pair! She wiggled in her seat a bit as cheerful hums escaped her lips. After calming down a little she pulled her phone out again and scrolled through some things as she pondered what she'd do today. 'Hmm.. maybe the arcade? I haven't been there in a while and playing some games sounds fun. Ooh or maybe I could go clothes shopping, picking up a new dress sounds nice.' she thought absentmindedly with a lopsided grin. Whatever she ended up doing the witch was certain that it'd be very fun.

He had no reason to be in a cafe. It wasn't like he could even taste nor enjoy the things that they provided. Not unless they put blood in it. The man was never the type to waste his time on touring places he didn't need to be at or having conversations that amount to nothing either. Time was money, and you had to have money to buy his time. That was just how this business man worked.
So that led to why he was here. Business was why of course. He was sitting comfortably in his seat, his hand occasionally lifting a Styrofoam cup to his lips. Thick, and dark red fluid would push its way up the straw and breech his lips to coat his eager tongue. The taste was slightly sweet and soothed the burn in his throat. This was what it was like for him every time he fed with his preferred blood type. Though drinking nuked blood was not the same as drinking it fresh from the vein, it was enough to sustain him for the time being.
While awaiting the person that he was supposed to be meeting for business, he was caught by surprise when someone sat down at the table he was resting at. Granted, with how he was leaning towards the window, it would have been difficult to tell he was sitting there, but still, he had already claimed this table. Yet the girl began to dig into her treats nonchalantly as if her were not there. He tried to tell himself that it was his doing with how he chose to sit away from the table so he could look out the window. "I was sitting here, you know?" He piped up, eyeing the girl as he took another sip of his blood. Today he was not as testy as he normally was, but he still wasn’t feeling very friendly either. So his tone was a little rough and unwelcome. "You smell overly sweet. You probably should not consume so many fatty foods. Just because yo have magic, does not mean you can just say a spell every time you get fat."
