((I AM SO SORRY EVERYONE! I have been very busy. sweatdrop Forgive me, please.))
"Well, I'm hungry and thirsty. Perhaps I was a bit hasty in my accusations. This place is crappy for food a friend of a friend of a friend owns a smaller bar. More of a restaurant really."
Penelope gawked at the man who judged her in less then a minute then just offered to join him for some food. She wondered what his real intensions were. She couldn't decide on what to say or do. Should she join another stranger in her journey? And would she befriend him? He seemed to be hiding something dark and untrust-worthy. But wouldn't that mean that she is judging him too quickly as he did?
"This is alright with me. If the food is good then I have no problem. But it's up to my companions as well," Zion spoke first which Penelope was thanking him mentally.
Penelope quickly glanced at Zion. If he's alright with it, does he know something she doesn't?
"Well, I don't mind, but it's really not my choice. I'm not the one eating," replied the grim reaper.

Melody hummed a sad tune as she walked slowly down a dark street. Her body ached from her recent battle, and she still had some cuts that had not healed. Sighing she looked down at her wrist, the blood had slowed, but was still flowing. Placing a hand over it she whispered the ancient words and her flesh healed. Her sword was still covered in blood, and her hair was matted with dirt. A nearby half-way house was just a block away. Quickly she made her way there and filled out some nonsense form, and used some fake information to get a room.
As she made her way through the door, she stopped. Her senses picked up something rather unusal not to far away. Shaking her head she locked the door behind her and walked into the make shift bathroom. The small shower provided looked very inviting to her tired body. Peeling off her clothes she turned on the hot water and let the blood be washed away. Quickly cleaning herself, she finished and stepped out into the steamy bedroom. Even though she probably could have done that with a spell, she didn't have the energy. Getting dressed she ploped on the bed, and just as her eyes closed, she felt it again. "No...." she whispered. "It couldn't be..." she said sitting up. But as she tried to convince herself it was not so, she believed it more and more each passing moment.
Nearly running out the door, she made her way to the spot she had felt the strange power. Stopping to a slow walk, she saw the sign, and wondered what creatures would be inside. For the power she felt was not human. As she opened the door, her phone rang. She looked at the number. It was her informant from the Death Dealers, opening the flip phone quickly she answered, "I'm rather busy right now. What?" she asked annoyed. A scared and rather unsuspecting voice answered, "I'm sorry. But you know who requests an audience with you." he said quietly. Sighing she closed the phone, she didn't have time for that now, and would do so when she was there. Taking a deep breath she walked inside, and immediatly her attention was brought to a group of rather strange individuals... Her heart skipped a beat as she saw him, but rather than let her hopes get to high, she let her skeptisim take it's place, and stayed hidden in a dark corner.

(( OMG, I totally forgot I was going to do something! And I totally forgot Internet for the last 7 days or so razz )) "Yes sir?" The familiar voice asked from behind the door. "You know you can enter at any time, the door's open to you." Slowly the door opened and Mareshin's Recorder showed himself. Slowly, without sound, he entered, drawing himself closer and closer to Mareshin. 'They hold more power then anyone imagines, they work for the most powerful of us and yet show no fear...' "Have you had any chance to do what I asked you to do." "I've been able to do more then that, I've filed what you requested. Also, the rumors around the Reaper is that she's here to personally *kill*.." The Recorder's eyes widened and a smile was on his face, he was most amused by this. "The way you say it... They are not supposed to kill are they?" "No sir, Reapers are forbidden to kill, only ferrying.. To which ever destination their target has." The Recorder was now in front of Mareshin, who stood besides his desk, from the Recorder's long blue robes he drew the file he said he had. A think bundle of many papers. It was written in the tongue of the Recorders, Mareshin raised his eyebrow when he saw it. "Don't worry, you can read it when you are alone, completely alone... More over I have other news for you." "And what may that be?" It is unusual for a Recorder to state news to him first, at least when not requested. "Melody Kruson has arrived in town, she recently completed her 'task', a messy one indeed, and has been summoned." "Odd, I thought I was to handle all in this city.." "That is true, she might have been summoned by another in your name, sir. If so, she'll come to you in due time." In due time, for them time walked a different path then even to demons.. Time seemed to be the answer to all of it, in due time. "Further, I was so free to make a visit to your little stealth group, it seems that the man's name is 'Kurt Durnholde', an interesting found they've made is that he's able to see through disguises of them all. They seem to be planning on eating somewhere." "Things develop quickly, very well, I will await Melody's arrival here for a few more moments, does she not come then I will see if I can find that group again.. Else I will be meditating at the usual spot. You may return to the tasks I had given you." The Recorder bows and takes his leave. Mareshin looks to his right, the thick file on Reapers seemed to almost crush his desk with it's weight. He grabbed it and looked at the first page, the strange runes deformed and changed into the tongue of man as he looked more closely. It stated it's title in bright red letters, Grim Reapers, and dark blue revealed the writers of all the pieces and who had assembled all of it, strangely that was still in the runes of the Recorders. It was all bound together with a thin red string, but instead of opening it, Mareshin opened his desk and tucked the file away. "If I'm going to pay them another visit I can learn it the old fashioned way..."

Zions right wing twitched suddenly. He nearly tunred around to scan the area but he stopped himself. He scanned the area and felt nothing out of the ordinary. He could have sworn he felt something similar to an angelic pressence for a moment. But then again it hadnt been a normal angel's pressence. It had been different, darker in a way. He shrugged it had probably been nothing but he disliked angels enough to draw abit more power through both wings. No need to be unprepared if something did arise. He knw he was being too cautious but have survived for so long, despite having no allies, he knew that caution was always warented. Even if this was a false alarm.
Inorder to couver his unease and sudden drawing of energy to the others he divereted some engery into the air to heat it a bit. Not as much as he was holding but enough to prehaps, couver the increase in energy. Or at least it provided a reasonable excuse for why he was drawing on it. All of these thoughts and preperations took only a few seconds. Most of it was reflex by now so he didn't even worry about it. The reason he had chosen to heat the air rather then anything else was also because he felt slightly sorry for penelope. Even he had the option of eating but since she couldn't he would atleast make the trip more pleasant for her.

Melody slowly made her way around the group, observing them from all sides. She had long since been practiced in the art of illusions, so for them to pick up her energy was exceptional. She saw him look cautiously around, and a smile formed upon her lips. She was about to approch when her phone rang again. Cursing silently she opened it with a growl, "What?" she asked, as she recognized her informer's number. "He wishes to see you." the person said once more. "Fine, tell him I will be there in a moment." she said snapping the phone shut.
Standing there she knew she had to do something, she had to make sure she could track him. For she had searched far to long to lose him now. If it was even him. Walking outside to think, the answer to her questions appeared. A young girl was walking by, close to death obviously. Starving the poor thing. Melody walked over to her, "Why hello.." she said sweetly. The girl retracted as though hurt. Smiling she placed a hand on her shoulders, "You look like your hungry... I have some friends inside that are about to order." she said as she gave her a quick description of them. Taking a small black feather from her pocket she gave it to her. Then gave her some cash. "Take both of these, and I want you to slip this into the young mans pocket. Then you can buy all the food you want." she said smiling as she ruffled her hair. "But be sure he does not catch you. And if he asks where you got it, just tell him you found it." she said as she began to turn. The young girl smiled happily and gave a nod and disappeared into the building.
Melody quickly made her way to the destination, she wondered breifly what her next gruesome task would be. Sighing she opened the doors and smirked, "You called?" she said as she made her way into the room.

Mareshin stood, with he back to the door, behind his desk. Waiting for Melody to arrive and deciding weither or not to wait any longer. Then the door opened and someone walked in while a female voice talked to Mareshin.
"You called?"
Mareshin turned around to face Melody and smiled.
"Welcome, welcome. Please have a seat."
He said while he pointed towards the chair in front of his desk. He then took a seat himself.
"Kruson.. I heard you just arrived, I hope your assignment went according to plan."
Without really waiting for Melody's reply he stood up and walked to a cabinet behind him, he opened one of the drawers and took Melody's file from it.
"Your informant told me you spied on a certain group of persons. Also my recon reported the same."
Mareshin flipped the pages in the file. Not really looking at most of them, though he read the greater lines.
"You have interest in one of them? I might be personally ordered to kill them. If you need something from them, tell me.. After that, if you need to do it yourself, do whatever you need before I bring them down."
Suddenly he closes the file and looks straight at Melody.
"One of them suddenly looked around a bit and raised his defences, you wheren't discovered now, miss Kruson? Well, doesn't really matter. Your next assignment lies in your newest hide out by now. There's no pressure, fufill it by the end of the week. Have a nice day."
And with that Mareshin tossed the file in the cabinet and locked it, he then walked past Melody, towards the door she just came through.

His detached manner mirrored her's, that was untill he threated to take down the man that could be her son. "I think we may have a problem." she said standing. His comment about being found out was insulting, but she let it go. Her mind was more focused on her possible son. "I want permission to help on this assignment." she said as quietly and calmly as possible. "What that person is to me is none of your business yet, if it comes to that, you can be sure I will let you in. But rest assured, if you harm him...." she stopped, realizing she gave away enough. She had long since learned that people in the order could not be trusted. It was a ruthless business, and you could be the top death dealer one day, and be the hit the next.
"I realize that this is your turf, I have no intensions of overrunning you. But I ask... as a favor to allow me to help on this task. And you can be sure that I pay back my favors." she said trying to keep up her appearance. "Besides, I believe you might actually need my help with this one." she said as she began to get strategic. "They are close, and all of them strong." she said as she took a few steps towards him. She closed the door before he could leave, for she did not want this information to get out. "Did you know that one of those men is a hybrid? Or perhaps that one is a Grim reaper? Or maybe the little demon? And lets not forget the one who could not be tricked by their illusions... no. I think you will need all the help you can get on this one." she said her voice getting low.
-------------------- ((NPC))
The little girl walked in slowly, her mind going over the things the pretty lady had told her. She saw them immiediatly, and walked over to them, smiling. "Hello!" she said her voice cheery. Then suddenly she broke into a fit of coughs, and her head began to hurt. She smiled through the coughs and tried to get closer to the counter. "I'm really hungry... I have money.. but-" she stopped as her coughing got worse. Trying to clear her head she looked up at the man. He seemed cold, yet warm. She could not see why the woman was so interested in him, but none the less she walked over to him to give him the money. "Please.... um. Will they give me food now?" she asked after holding out the money to him. She would have to wait a bit to get the feather on him. The woman said in his pocket, but it was very sticky, and she felt it could probably stick on his leg, or his shoe, or any place she might put it.

Melody went straight against him, besides a few minor points, even going as far as blocking him passage by closing the door. Mareshin stopped only a foot or so in front of the door and listened with a faint smile, well more a grin, on his face.
'Only by doing this you've proven yourself more valuable then most others here..'
"Did you know that one of those men is a hybrid? Or perhaps that one is a Grim reaper? Or maybe the little demon? And lets not forget the one who could not be tricked by their illusions... no. I think you will need all the help you can get on this one."
Melody said, while her voice got lower as she reached the end of her sentence.
"You know quite a lot, Kruson, but nothing I didn't know already."
He turned around and walked past her once again, not diverting his eyes from her till the eyes couldn't move further to the left in their sockets, after that he looked at the cabinet and once again opened it after unlocking it.
He pulled out two files, one containing everything they had on the human called Kurt and one containing the info on the Reaper, half-demon and demon.
As he put them besides each other on his desk he motioned for Melody to come closer and take a look.
"You'll find quite a lot of information here."
He stayed silent for a while, completely ignoring everything. He was thinking. Mareshin thought deep and conciderate, after taking nearly everything in account he had made his decision.
"Very well, if you wish I can assign another to your job, you can assist me. Though as of now, there isn't much. I'm calling my recon back in a short while and I'll be visiting them once again, yes I've been to them before. You may acompagny me if you wish, I'll make sure everything will be in order and you won't be bothered for anything but a straight order from me. Do you accept?"
Mareshin found no need to put any demands to his deal, he could have forced her to tell what her interests in 'him' are, but it doesn't matter. 'Him' That meant there where only two left, out of four. Although the way she spoke and said what kind of creature they where, he already knew.
Mareshin's eyes shifted out of focus as he seemingly stared into the distance, in truth he was sending a message to his recon team.
((This next part is thoughts since they're using telepathy))
'Dave!'
'Yes sir? What could be so important that you'd use telepathy?'
'I know certain creatures might pick this up, but your presence and that of Mark, is no longer needed there. I'm going myself.'
'Sir?'
'Just as I said, retreat. I might bring another with me but that doesn't matter.'
'As you wish, I'll inform Mark.'
Mareshin shortly closed his eyes and then turned to Melody again.
"Have you decided yet? Are you coming Kruson?"

Melody kept her face blank, and nodded. Even though on the inside she was the happiest she had been in years. She wondered though, why he had agreed so easily, and remembered to keep on her guard. Though she grabbed two of the files. The one on her son, and the one on Kurt. The reaper gave her no worries, and nor did the little demon. But a human who could see through illusions was interesting, and she didn't want Mareshin to get any ideas. She looked at the files and put away as much information as she could on him. Then looking at the other, a slight quirk reached her lips. "Hmmm." she said then remained silent. "Sounds good to me." she said as she made her way over to him. She saw him standing there silently and her fears began to increase. Shaking herself mentally she thought again about the little girl, and if she had completed the task she asked her.

((I thought to wait till the others had replied, but ah well. Btw, NoHopeForTheVillage, how's that manga coming along?))
With Dave and Mark retreating Mareshin had to move, it won't be hard to find them, but searching was hardly Mareshin's favorite passing of time.
"Well then, shall we?"
Mareshin opened the door which ones again revealed Mareshin's favorite way of traveling, a firery portal to a door near his destination.
"If you have your own way of traveling you may use it, but since you're coming along with my mission, don't be late."
Mareshin stepped through the portal but instead of closing it stays open for a little longer.

Melody was slightly unsure, but his tone of voice made her make a decision. She did have own way of travel, but had no intention of using it, not when such an opportunity as this arrived. Questions began to run through her head, as they often did when she did not fully understand about something, but she quieted herself and looked at it once more. She did not think that Mareshin would kill her in this way, but he might send her to some strange plan with no way to get back. Still she did not have much time to think about these things. She did not get the reputation she had by being weak of heart. Smirking she walked through the portal, very unsure of what was going to be on the other side.

For Mareshin traveling this way was like a walk in the park at a sunny day, though that would be quite unpleasant for him in particular, you get the idea. Before he had noticed anything in particular, for there is quite a lot to see while in the portal, for the first time you might only see flames or if you have a trained eye some vague figures, they are actually visions from hell.
Mareshin stepped out of the portal, only one block and around 500 meters away from the targeted group, and remained still and silent as he waited to see if Melody stepped through. Just as he was about to close the portal he could feel Melody coming through, he stepped aside so that they wouldn't collide or anything and closed the portal right behind her.
"Enjoyed yourself? We're about half a kilometer away from them, just turn right at the corner over there and we should see them. Just so you know I have no intention of hiding my presence, they will know we're coming."
True, Mareshin made no attempt whatsoever to hide his presence and should have been picked up by the group already, just as they knew he was coming the first time.
"Well, I guess it's time to make our entry."
Mareshin said as he walked towards the corner, the the distance is 500 meters, that would be as the pidgeon flies, it's about 100 meters to the corner and about 490 till the group.
'hmm that should be about 489.897949 meters then.'
((Note: If anybody cares, I used Pythagoras' Theorem (A^2 + B^2 = C^2). From Mareshin & Co it was 500 meters to get to Penelope & Co. C^2 would be 250000 then. From Mareshin & Co to the corner is 100, A^2 would be 10000, 250000 - 10000 = 240000, 240000^(1/2)= 489.897949 ≈ 490.
So *how* is the manga doing (lol, I'll keep asking till I get an answer)? ))

Melody was in awe as she walked through the portal. She could not see anything in particular, but sensed the flames were evil. Even for a fallen angel....it scared her. Steping out quickly she looked at him as though he were crazy. "You do that everywhere?" she asked unbelieving. It was a good way to travel, but still she felt her skin crawl. Shaking her head she looked out across the street. Melody was about to protest his open coming, "I thought you weren't going to kill them right away?" she asked trying to stay elusive. If he was just there to gather information, than why show himself. That would only make it harder... but if he was going to take one of them out, that was different, as long as it wasn't her someone. She kept her energy masked, for she was still unsure of how her son would react. She had yet to feel the feather activate and was a little worried. Was her son the type to kill that little girl, not that she wasn't about to die anyways. Melody could see it in her face....sighing sadly she waited for his answer. Depending on his answer, she would decide what to do.

((Erh people? Post please?))
"Yeah, I do that everywhere, anywhere."
Mareshin replied to Melody's first question as he continued on the path to the party of four.
When Melody raised the second question Mareshin stopped and looked back for a second, then he continued again.
"Hmm? Well I probally won't kill them right away, they might even live to tell the tale of this encounter. But there's no need to hide my power. The half-demon there will have is defence and offence ready when we get there aswell. No harm in being prepared."
As Mareshin and Melody walked on, Mareshin wondered why Melody had asked that, she souldn't worry too much about some people dying. But then again, she had an interes in one of them.. Perhaps a little bit of investigation on that part wouldn't hurt.
"I presume you still don't intend on telling me your interest in one of them, Kruson?"
