TsMasHAcE suharu182 Konbanawa watashi wa suharu182 desu...(good evening i am suhsru182) i think this is right watashi wa anata desu(whats ur name) I think what you said is more along the lines of 'I am you'??. I'm a beginner and I memorized a few key Japanese lines. I believe, to ask 'whats ur name' would be 'O namae wa nan desu ka' You're right TsMasHAcE. Or if you wanna be more casual you can just say "Onamae wa? (Your name is?)"

(northeast here heheh) I am learning Japanese.) (I might have got the "I am learning Japanese" sentence wrong.. ^^") hi there...im Jess. im studying Japanese at uni....2nd year....been doing Japanese for 4 years...i was just reading through and i notice the part where you said nihongo o narimasu. i think maybe nihongo no benkyou wo shiteimasu might be better (or nihongo wo benkyou shimasu) i just means that you are studying Japanese....the shite imasu means that you are doing whatever your doing in the present, as in now....the shimasu just means your studying it.... hope that helps you out a bit smile
