"Ah...Well, I'd assume that ash isn't too easy on the tastebuds." the young man said with a small smirk. "But it wouldn't be selfish. I offered, right? And since you'll be staying with me for a while at least, you may as well make yourself at...Er...Home." Senn gave Arianna a slightly sheepish look as he spoke, glancing around. "Well, it's all I have. Consider it yours as well; it's nice to have someone to talk to..." He trailed off, eyes traveling to her hands for some unknown reason.

The lightest chuckle slipped from Senn's lips as she answered. "Well, the offer's out there. I must say, I find the entire aspect of being bitten by a vampire quite...Intriguing..." Grinning slightly, the young man's tone changed to one more of inquiry. "But first...If you were to bite me, would I become a vampire myself, or can you prevent that? Also, is biting considered something intimate, or only when agreed upon? Or perhaps never?" It wasn't exactly like the dark youth to ask so many questions, but it'd been so long since his last real talk with someone. He liked it.

Amber was suprised that he'd walked off so fast. She certainly hadn't expected that. "Geeze, don't you know how creepy that sounds?" Before she could say anything else, something cut her off. Her parents were arguing once again. Amber's head automatically turned toward the sound and she listened intently. "They're at it again." She muttered under her breath with a wince.

"I can not believe you are already drunk. It's two in the afternoon!" She heard her mother say in a raised voice. "You arn't being a very good role model for your daughter!"

"Whazzit matter to you?" Her father protested in equally loud and angry tones. "You smoke all day and you act like you've only one kid. That ain't good for 'em."

"My other children have already taken the wrong route in life. Little Amy is the only one left with a chance!" Amber guessed this was around the time she propped her hands on her hips and got that furious look on her eye that she was famous for. "And you know what? I blame you!" After that, all she heard was her father cursing profusely.

Amber looked over her shoulder and saw Amy peeking out of her bedroom and staring down the hall. When she saw her sister watching her, she stared back, wide eyed. "I'll, uh, be on the phone." She said uncertainly, slowly turning to go back to her room. Amber glanced sideways at Victor before disappearing into her room as well.

"No, I can't say that it is." Arianna winced at the thought, but just brightened an instant later. "Well, I don't know. It just seems like it would be, to me. And thank you, Senn." When she smiled, her eyes softened slightly. Even though he wasn't offering very much, and knew it, she knew that the thought was sincere. That made her happy in itself. Her parents had been wealthy, and yet they would have never given up anything of theirs for the benefit of others. Unless it helped them in some way. She'd always known they were egocentric and a little conceited, but this made them seem worse. "I appreciate that. I really do."

She blinked and her eyes went back to normal. "Really? Well, most people find it's frightening." Clearly highly amused by the fact he was actually interested in being bitten, she smirked. "To answer your question; no. You would not be turned if I were to bite you. The curse is to blame for that. Actually, you would only gain immortality, and few of the vampiric characteristics. Meaning, you would be able to walk in the sunlight and you would not need to drink blood to live." Arianna paused her explanation to stroll over to the extra chair and take a seat. She crossed her legs, folded her hands in her lap and looked over at him. "Biting isn't necessarily anything intimate, though some people choose to make it such. In every case other than ours, the vampire does not need permission from the human to bite them, and rarely do they wait to recieve it."

A mysterious smile adorned the youth's lips as he pondered what information the young woman had just bestowed upon him. "Vampiric characteristics, eh? Well, that sounds like something that would be a living hell in my situation." Senn said with a slight laugh. "Having to live forever as I am? Eh, I'd rather be in Hell, I think." His voice was filled with distaste, though it vanished immediatly as he pushed from the counter. "As far as intimacy, I'll have to think about it. In my own mind, I'd find a bite to be something rather sensual and, dare I say, romantic. Kind of like a first kiss, you know? Not that I've ever had that either, but still, you get the idea, I hope." Chuckling lightly and making a face, Senn circled back around to the chair, sinking slowly into it before settling and looking to Arianna.

"So...What's the plan, Ari? Do we just sit here and talk until you can delete my past, or what?" came the young man's smooth voice with a tint of humor to it. A smiled slightly, wondering how exactly the young woman intended to fix his so-called problem.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 24, 2006 11:59 am

Arianna looked strangly grim in response to his comment. "Oh, no you wouldn't. Hell is far worse than any human can comprehend. If you think what you have now is bad, then hell will really suprise you." Staring forward at the blank wall, she seemed to be in a daze. "Because no matter what people say, things can always become worse than they are." She drummed her fingers impatiently on her knee, though she didn't know why she felt so anxious all of a sudden. To change the subject, she smiled again and nodded in reply. "Yes, I know what you're meaning, and I perfectly respect that. I think it's interesting that you're one of the few that don't fear it."

Tilting her head to one side so she could watch him, Arianna looked amused. She'd told several people to call her Ari. So many, in fact, that she'd lost count. What pleased her was the fact that Senn was the first that actually used her nickname. "Well, first I need to figure out what your problem is. I'm guessing you're depressed, seeing as you cut yourself." She indicated the blood covered floor. "But you'll have to tell me what's upsetting you. I can't help if I don't know what's wrong."

Stretching back, Senn smirked, eyes closing for a moment before flickering open to match Arianna's gaze. "We'll see. At least in Hell you'd be around others; in my Hell, there's nothing but blackness, stretching as far as the eye can see to an eternity. Lonliness is more painful than any physical torture." A wry smile played across the youth's lips momentarily, reflecting his obvious inner feelings without having to portray them openly.

"Depressed? I'm not sure, I've never felt any different; unless you count nineteen years ago inside of my mother." Chuckling lightly, Senn closed his eyes once more, knowing the obvious root of his 'Problem'. Keeping his eyes closed, the young man spoke quiety, softer than his usual tone of voice. "If you want to know my problem, it's a simply complicated issue, if that oxymoronical statement makes sense. My father left in the back of my memories, just after I can remember. Maybe if he'd left before I could remember, it'd been better; but no, I remember it clear as day." At this point, his voice was toneless, a non-caring monotone devoid of emotion. "Then, of course, my mother developed a drug addiction, from Marijuana to LSD. Mixed with her alchoholic behavior, it eventually led to her death." Wry smirk returning, Senn shook his head. "Never had a friend to call on when I needed help; never had someone to share life with; no one's been here, and I've been all alone. Simple to understand, yet apathy has taken over to the point that I don't care for my own life." Taking a deep breath, Senn opened his eyes, his smirk all but dissapeared. The empty, lifeless spheres he looked from stared in a completely apathetic manner at the Vampire in front of them. "I can't ask for your help, mostly because I've no idea how else to live." Trailing off, the youth offered a small smile.

(( Grr, we need more people to join. >< ))

Arianna decided against replying to his first statement. Instead, she watched him intently as he spoke of his life, which was full of more problems than she'd imagined. "That's quite a lot for one person to deal with." She said finally after a long moment of silence. Her gaze had not faultered for even a seceond. She'd barely even blinked. Senn had said that he didn't think he was depressed, or was at least implying it. Arianna still believed that he was, especially after he had told his story. It sounds like depression and lonliness are his greatest problems. She thought, plots already forming in her head about how to improve his situation.

"Well, Senn, I think I can help you." She chirped a little to energetically as she hopped to her feet and spun to face him. "You say you can't ask for help, but I'm offering it anway. If you have no idea how else to live, then I'll just have to teach you." Arianna smiled down at him, then remembered something. He was injured. Well, that could delay her plans a bit. "Are you feeling any better? Or do you still feel like you need to sit and rest?"

Senn blinked, raising an eyebrow in half curiosity, half amusement as Arianna jumped up. "You seem a bit perky for a Vampire; but then, I've never actually knowingly met another, so what do I know?" Smirking and standing slowly, the young man teetered for a moment, regaining his balance with a sheepish grin. "Yeah, I think I'm alright. Just a bit shakey, I suppose. And what exactly are you going to 'teach' me?" he inquired slowly, eyes travelling back to the Vampire's.

"Well I warned you about that a bit ago, so you can't exactly be too suprised." Arianna replied cheerfully, her grin widening at his question. "That's for me to know and for you to learn." She started for the door and, upon reaching it, turned back to face him. "We can walk slowly and take breaks if you need it. Now, a question; do you have a job, Senn?" By the look on her face and the tone of her voice, Arianna simply seemed to be curious. But no, the young vampiress had a plot forming in her mind and whether or not he was employed played a large part in her scheme.

"Nope, none whatsoever." the young man responded nonchalantly. "I'm in college off of an acedemic scholarship; lucky me." Making a face, Senn stepped forward, eyeing the seemingly young woman who held his door open. "But don't get me wrong, it's not as if I haven't tried." A wry smirk flickered across his lips as the youth passed by the Vampire, blinking slightly at the faded light from a hidden sun. "Most people just don't want one such as myself working around other people. Tends to give off a 'bad aura', I suppose." Chuckling to himself, Senn stopped right outside the door, waiting for Arianna to come after him.

Taking a moment to stop and study the Vampire's features, Senn noticed for the first time at how attractive she really was. Long, fiery red hair swayed slightly as she moved, nearly seeming to frame her slender form. Deep violet iris' looked out from a smooth, calm face. Her skin was pale, even paler than the young man's. It held a sort of eerie beauty to it that one just couldn't look over. Shaking his head silently to himself, Senn looked down the street absently, wondering what exactly Arianna had in mind for him.

[[Mm...
Alright, well...
I'll be around, and awaitng your return.

And I suppose, if there are any newcomers, you may PM your profiles to me as well, and I'll get them up for Ari.
Hopefully, that's okay.

I've been too interfering with Amber's life at the moment. I mean, I only introduced myself today, and here I am coming into her home. I think I need to give her a little space so she can absorb what is going on in her life. Victor thought, as he walked right inbetween the two arguing parents.

As he passed by, Amber's father stopped cursing to stare at Victor. "Who izzat?" he slurred, throwing a thumb in Victor's direction. "It's one of Amber's friends apparently." Amber's mother responded. "Well, h'ain't welcome in my house." the father responded as he walked huffly over to Victor and grabbed his collar.

Victor abruptly stopped, turning slightly in order to look at the man. "Yes?" he simply said. "You're not welcome in here." Amber's father responded, as he tried to haul Victor towards the door. Victor stayed still, and just looked at the man. "Please, sir. I only came to visit Amber, and now I am leaving. If you would kindly release my jacket, I will be leaving." Victor said, Amber's father looking at Victor, his facial features giving away that he was trying to make his mind up on what to do. He released Victor jacket, but nonetheless pushed Victor out the door.

Victor exited the house, Amber's father not being of much help to that process. As he neared the sidewalk, Victor turned around to Amber's father, who was standing in the doorway with an open beer bottle in his hand. Victor bowed slightly. "Good day to you, sir." he said, before straightening.

Apparently Amber's father took that as Victor mocking him, and threw the beer bottle, which landed a few feet from Victor. Victor watched as glass sprayed all over the walkway. Hmm.... I wonder how he is when he is not drunk. Hopefully more civil than he is acting right now. Victor thought, as he made his way down the sidewalk, leaving Amber's father to slam the door in his wake. Victor ran his fingers through his hair distractedly, before placing his hands in his pockets. What an eventful day it has been.

(( I'm sorry it's taken so long to reply. I got sidetracked and I have writer's block. ))

Arianna sighed as she shut the door, finding it irritating that it creaked so badly. "Well, if you had one, what sort of employment would you like?" She asked converstionally as she began to walk down the alley, glancing sideways to make sure Senn was keeping up with her. She'd made a mental note beforehand not to think too much on her opinion of her charge, lest she end up breaking the rules. To be honest, she thought he was pretty good looking. For a human, at least. She would not allow herself to contemplate the matter any further.

After exiting the alley and turning onto the sidewalk, Arianna began to try and remember where everything was in this city. She'd taken a little tour the night previous so she would, hopefully, not get lost. Poking at the air in different directions and murmuring incoherent words to herself, she finally smiled and started off. "Right then, this way. I nearly forgot where I was..."

Amber listened, her ear pressed to her door, as her father yelled to Victor. The front door opened, words she could not hear were spoken, something made of glass shattered, then the door slammed shut. Moving silently to her window, she pulled back one side of the curtains and peaked outside. Victor was leaving and she was grateful that he did not stick around to argue with her parents, who she was sure were more than willing to have an excuse to yell at someone else other than each other for once. She really did not like accepting help from others, especialy strangers, and Victor was no different. Except maybe the fact he was a vampire, but that just made things worse in her mind. She was so lost in thoughts that she did not hear her bedroom door open and Amy enter. Not until her sister spoke did she turn around in suprise. "So? Who was he? Dad didn't seem to like him much. Is he another one of your friends, Amber?" Amy eyed her suspiciously. She'd grown up the past few years being told her older siblings were awful people and that she was a perfect angel. She'd grown to accept it as fact.

"He's just someone I met today. It's not a big deal."

"How about a hit man?" stated the youth sarcastically, though intertwined with a heavy note of humor. "Like I said, no one will hire me even if I wanted a job. Besides, I make my way by getting what I need through stealth; or stealing, in other words." His voice was rather nonchalant as he admitted his crimes, considering it more of a fact of survival than anything. "I'll be homeless in a few weeks, perhaps days, depending on how impacient they get, and face it; I'm not exactly what anyone would like to be working at their place. I've been told once that I'd 'scare away the children'." Chuckling mirthlessly, he continued on behind Arianna, hanging a right as she did.

Making sure to stay a few steps behind, Senn surveyed his keeper closely. She didn't seem to be suspicious or threatening, though to him, she seemed to be a bit secretive with her manner. 'Then again, she is a Vampire...' he mused to himself, eyes catching the long crimson tresses swaying as she walked. To him, they were beautful and entrancing, as were her mysterious eyes that had near encaptivated him on more than one occasion already.

[[It's alright, I understand that. xP

Victor was now back at his small out-of-the-way home, overlooking the small town. He leant against the doorframe of the front entrace, looking out over the city. Amber truly is starting to become hard to deal with. Not that I blame her. I mean, some random guy walks up to her and tells her he is a Vampire, and then on top of that tells her that he is to guard her for an eternity. If I was her I wouldn't beleive a damn word coming out of my mouth. Victor thought, as he let out a small sigh, running his fingers through his hair. Why can't anything in life be simple? he asked the heavens, as he looked skyward.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:10 pm

"I've had my share of dealings with hit men. I can't say I got along with many of them." Responded the vampiress with a brief grimace. "It is certainly a job that pays well, if you can actually get close enough to kill your target, or whatever else you've been hired to do." Smiling to herself, she shrugged it off. "Oh, ignore me. I'm just rambling and talking to myself again."

"As for no one hiring you, I can take care of that. Believe me." Arianna casted a sly smirk at Senn. "I have my ways, so name a job you'd like to have and I'll get it for you." She looked contemplative. I may as well ask. It's better than waiting until the last second, anyway. "Or would you rather find an apartment first? You can't deny that you're going to need one. I mean, I can't let you live on the street once that little... house is no longer in your possession, can I?" At the word 'house,' Ari had trouble not showing her extreme dislike for the place.

Amber could swear she was close to insanity by now. Her sister had not stopped talking since coming in her room. Amy had been interrogating her for the past half an hour and Amber was sick of answering questions and making up lies to cover up the truth. "For the last time, I barely know him, okay?!" She stood up, having been sitting at her desk previously. "I haven't done anything wrong, so stop insulting me for things I didn't and wouldn't do." Amy looked hurt. She was used to getting what she wanted, being able to say what she wanted, and do what she wanted when she wanted. She was not used to being interrupted. With a 'hurumph!' she stomped out of the room and down the hall.

Downstairs, the girls' mother heard Amber's raised voice, a door slam, and footsteps stomping down the hall. These footsteps had lead to Amy's room, where a second door swung shut with a 'bang'. One thing about this woman; she was completely different around guests and she was a horrible hypocrite. She would act a certain way as to not give someone the wrong impression, but her personality would do a summersault when it came to Amber, her older brother, or their father. To everyone else, she was the perfect image of a mother, neighbor, and citizen. Furiously putting out her cigarette and carelessly tossing it in the trash, she burst through the kitchen and started up the stairs. Unfortunately for her, however, Amber had already climbed out her bedroom window to safety. With a satisfied smirk at her mother's enraged yell as the young girl dove into a bush. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her sister peaking out her own window and looking quite pleased with herself. Looking up, she saw her mom lean out over the side of the window sill to search frantically for her eldest daughter. "John!" She called as she pulled it shut. "She climbed out through the window again!" The rest of her words were drown out and she was gratefull for it. She had no doubt that her mother was using all sorts of colorful words to describe her now. I had better get the heck out of here before the dear ol' drunkie comes bursting out the front door looking for me. She thought as she darted from her haven and down the street.

(( I hope I get over this soon, because right now, my vocabulary is taking a relaxing swim in the toilet. ))

Screw sitting here doing nothing. I'm going to walk around town. Victor thought. As he walked around the small town, he pondered over what he should do to be able to get to know Amber more. I think I know what is wrong with her, but I'm still not sure. Victor thought, waiting at an intersection.

Her attractiveness makes my job even harder... No, I cannot think that way. Victor said, shaking the thought from his head. There was no way in hell he was going to start allowing himself be attracted to his charge, for if he did, he wouldn't live to talk about it. He really didn't want that to happen.

As usual, this town is as much fun as a plank of wood. Victor thought, letting out a sigh as he did so. There were no events going on, nothing interesting happening on the streets, all the movies at the theater he had seen. There really was nothing for Victor to do....
