(That's alright. ^^ I'll just post and see where it leads me. xD)
Ione Wizel was well aware that she probably seemed like quite the fool, being so interested in such an activity that some, if they had a decent supply of money, most likely did on a weekly basis. Ah, but since foolishness often went hand-in-hand with naivety, the eighteen year old wouldn't have been surprised if that impression was given as well. But alas, though appearances were rather important to the Wizel family, the woman saw no need in acting as if she were too confident.
Contrary to popular belief, merely approaching a cell and choosing a slave was not as easy as it looked, nor was it particularly that simple. Indeed, the slave would be her own to use, but the rest of her family would also have to deal with whomever Ione dragged back to the estate. She highly doubted that her father would be too fond of sending her out to handle things on her own in the future if she failed in her current mission.
A soft sigh escaped the girl's lips as she walked, posture suggesting that her upbringing had been rather old fashioned, especially when it came to formality. Still, emerald eyes betrayed no feelings of uneasiness, bestowing only gazes of mild interest, if not full-blown intrigue. After glancing fleetingly at a certain set of twins conversing with a rather grotesque-mannered slave, Ione made a mental note not to get to close to that area, lest she meet the same fate as the woman had, with her slightly bruising injury.
She wasn't too sure just what was allowed and what wasn't in the establishment, therefore kept to minding her own business around the other buyers. Curiosity was quickly getting the best of her, however, which was evident in how the distance between her and the cages gradually decreased as her wonder overwhelmed any feelings of uncertainty.

Zhin blinked his eyes open for the second time, hearing the rare footsteps in the hallway. 'A bit early for them to be coming...' he thought, 'I wonder who's leaving today...' Unknown to most of the other inmates, he knew them far better than they thoughts. He spent his long days prying into the minds of others, getting to know them intimately.
Sitting up slowly, Zhin slid off the bed into the front of his cage, pearing out idley to see who it was. What caught his eye was quite the opposite of the fat pompose landlord he'd had in mind and seen so many times. No, this was girl, perhaps around his own age. She walked proudly, and he could see her curiosity clear as day. He smirked distastefully, wondering how it could be pleasurable to "Shop" for a slave.

The sorceress could practically feel the gaze of another on her, form involuntarily tensing at the peculiar sensation. Eventually, with some practiced concentration, the young woman was able to determine just where her watcher was situated with looking in any particular direction. Musing silently over the fact that she found many of the slaves to be rather intimidating, especially the ebony-ribbon bearing ones who had shrieked simultaneously about twenty minutes prior, Ione silent debated whether approaching would be very wise.
Chiding herself silently for her lack of will, Ione shifted her gaze in the cell's direction, peering out from behind her light colored bangs with apparent determination. Her dear bother Joshua's advice regarding her trip was to look as threatening and confident as possibly, never allowing any hesitance to show. Whether or not he had intended for her to take his words seriously was unknown, but Ione was quite sure that that was all she had to go on, really. Giving a light tug on the white ribbon that adorned her hair, more so out of habit rather than of any real purpose, Ione strode over to Zhin's cage, stopping a mere few inches away from the cell. Her hands casually gripped at one of the bars in in an instinctive, if perhaps not childish, manner. "Hello there, sir."

Zhin blinked as she came closer, noting her beauty. He sighed, wondering just what kind of mistress she would make.
Straightening, Zhin bowed slightly, a few strands of his hair brushing against her hand. "Hello, madame." He knew better than to introduce himself before told. Of course, his white ribbon probably told her that he was passive and "obedient", so he didn't have to even say it. He kept his eyes on the ground, waiting for her to say something first, as it was supposed to be.

No vulgar language, no aggressive shaking of the bars, no growls.. Not even any mildly threatening movements! Faint traces of relief danced across her delicate features, gaze flickering to his white ribbon, which she had failed to notice beforehand. Fingers gently intertwined themselves with the strands of hair that grazed against her skin, twirling the lock absently before letting go.
"I'm Ione Wizel.." The eighteen year old began, keeping her voice just a bit on the quiet side as to not disturb the various others that lurked nearby. "Who might you be?" Ione inquired, tone smooth and light, as was her general manner. "Oh, and please look up from the ground."

Slowly, Zhin looked up, trying to let them get accustomed to the dim lighting in the hallway. The emerald grew as the black reduced, his pupils retracting into what looked like a cats. When his eyes met with hers, they glimmered slightly as he spoke.
"My name is Zhin, madame." He didn't take his eyes off of hers. They were fully like a cats now, though the emerald in his retenas seemed to deepen in color. "Thank you." he said quietly, refering to her asking him to look up from the floor. His voice was smooth, calm, and quiet. It was almost serene. Quite the contrast to his surroundings.
Knowing "proceedure", Zhin asked the customary question. "What would you have of me, madame?"

(Sorry for the delay, my mom demanded that I start my homework. @.@; Hola, Nephthys. ^^)
His disposition was certainly pleasing, very similar to what she was accustomed to hearing at a daily basis. According to her father, most slaves were, to put it bluntly, rather horrid when it came to personality, possessing little sense of etiquette. So far, Mr. Wizel's assumption had been correct, in a way, though who could blame a slave for speaking out against those who unrightfully considered themselves better? Zhin, much to her satisfaction, appeared to be quite the opposite, however. His voice made listening to him rather pleasurable as well.
"Delighted to meet you, Mister Zhin." Ione remarked, meeting his gaze evenly with her own curiosity-filled orbs. At his question, the magic-caster paused, observing him quietly for a moment before replying. "Well, I suppose that'd depend on your own willingness. But, I suppose.. I'd like to converse with you, at the moment. Everyone here is so unique, I'm interested in how that also applies to you. Unless, of course, you'd prefer someone else's company?" Clasping her hands together lightly in front of her, she allowed her attention to stray to his ribbons, searching her mind for each of the correct labels. "If you don't mind me asking, what are you?" For whatever the reason, she wasn't all that confident that he was human.

Alex sensed another in person walking down the hallway. He could tell that the person had stopped, but did not know exactly where. Sitting up on his cot, Alex peered around, looking for the new person. Spotting the person he became disheartened, seeing as she was talking to another slave already. Lying back down on his cot with a dull thud, Alex let out a sigh. Will I ever be rid of this vile place? Alex thought, closing his eyes.

"It's a pleasure, madame." he said politely, eyes not straying from her own. It was important to at least look them in the eyes when they were speaking to you. They usually got mad otherwise.
At the mention of how he was unique, Zhin blinked. He flinched slightly when she asked 'what' he was. This was it. The part that always got him shunned and disowned. But it was against regulations for him to lie, and he really didn't want to be false to this seemingly nice young woman. "I...I'm a..." he had trouble saying it for some reason. Still, he was haunted by the memories of that day. "I'm a Vampire...Madame..." As he spoke, he lowered his eyes from her own back to the floor, forgetting about importance in behavior at the moment.

His obvious hesitation bewildered the young woman, puzzlement mixing with her usual cheery expression. She silently urged him to continue, curiosity peaked as to what he happened to be. When Zhin finally revealed the answer to her question, emerald eyes widened slightly in surprise. Were vampires not evil creatures, which fed on the blood of humans? Was someone being a 'good' vampire even possible?
Due to her polite nature, Ione resisted the urge to back away from the cell a bit, which took a rather decent sum of willpower. Despite the fact the human said nothing aloud regarding her dismay, Ione failed miserably at truly hiding her anxiety and the fact was painfully obvious. "A.. Vampire, eh? Well, that's interesting.." Ione murmured, before noticing that his gaze had trailed to the floor once more. In spite of her newfound uneasiness, the girl promptly reaching into the cell, giving a lock of his dark hair a gently tug in an attempt to catch his attention. "Mister Zhin, I said before not to look at the ground.. It makes talking to you feel weird."
