The king's reaction could not beat the young and magical pendragon as he managed to only have enough time to lift his sword before it fell from his hand because of the sudden impact of arthur's blade the old king crumbled and slumped as arthurs blade released him as he lay there in a pool of his own blood; Gwen's face was cold as she watched the death she knew that this scum had brought great pain to arthur and him finally dying must be a great relief to arthur; She walked over to placed a comforting arm on his shoulder as she looked down at the body"Call the castle staff let them have the body carried out his grave can be unmarked in the cemetery"; She then said"Then prepare the rest of the guards that have not death to inform them that their lord has finally passed and if they wish to remain peaceful in this city they must kneel and have there allegance to arthur" she said this all swiftly making sure that the statement was made; She knew if they didnt keep an eye on the queen she would try to flee to the closest monarch here in Britannia and they would have to ensure that didnt happen;

Gwen began to follow after arthur with a nod of approval as they roamed the halls they finally came upon a study of some sorts with a large bookshelf of books"This is remarkable..." she said seeing all the books (which during this time period was woah) for a full shelf was present jammed pack"I wonder if any of these can be useful.." she pulled one from the shelf and opened it up only to see an amass of latin words as well as other languages written in with french/spanish/german frowning she turned to Arthur"What are these languages?" she knew of latin for it was the only thing she could read and write but the others puzzled her; looking about her there wasn't much in the study besides the one large bookshelf and a writing desk for the king as well as some chairs to sit upon and a fireplace; There came a servant to the door"My lord..." said the servant unsure what to say to the group or whom to address but bowed there heads either way"There is a small group of nobles at the gate they wish to enter and speak with you..."; Gwen turned to arthur frowning"We didnt get much time before the snakes came out of there holes... I suppose we should address it" she replied sighing as she closed the book and sat it back where it came from;

3 lords stood in the throne room and with that being they watched with fear as the blood was being taken care of as Arthur and the others came into the room"Your majesty" said the lord in front"I am Lord Hastings this is Fitzwalker and Eseby" he motioned to the two behind him"We are here assist your highness in anything that you need... as well as extend our loyalty" he told him as they all 3 knelt to the ground"; Gwen looked over at Arthur with a raised brow before proceeding to cross her arms and shake her head but she would let Arthur handle it if she meddle she might just get another crimson reply like how the king and his wife talked to her; Though she would remain silent her gaze was non less savage as she glared at the 3 with distrust knowing one of them would be the snake if not all 3;

Gwen came to walk next to arthur as she stood by him as he sat down in the kings chair when Lancelot was ordered to murder Eseby the other two jolted lord Fitzwalker looked like he was going to past out while lord Hastings knelt his head and she thought she seen his lips move in what was most likely a silent prayer; As Arthur explained the mains treasons the other two looked at one another confused and worried but then were laid to rest when he said he was willing to work with both of them"My lord!" said hastings as Fitzwalker joined him with a fist to the chest"Let us call for our eldest sons and daughters to come serve you at your new court and we can ready our troops as soon as your ready" he told him Fitzwallker also added"Should I send for a armored guard to let Lady Eseby know of her husbands passing and bring his son forward for your blessing?";

Hastings and Fitzwalker looked at one another eyes opened for the first time in a long time that this Arthur pendragon would not stand for anything less that ultimate loyalty to himself; Though his cause was just they two realized that to upset a king claimed to have the power of God on his side it would mean devistaation for them either way: Bowing and telling him"Your majesty" before leaving his sight and returning to there horses to listen to the speech as he walked onto the terrance Gwen sat in the shadows of the balcony listening proudly as he produced a speech for his people;

There was an uproar at his at his words and Gwen smiled this was good there would be no doubt he would be safe on his throne if he managed to have so many on his side right? She heard the crowd begin to chant"ALL HAIL THE KING ALL HAIL KING ARTHUR" there was applause and shouts as the chants went on hearing noise behind her gwen turned abruptly in a defensive position as the bishop came forward"Young Lady I wish to speak with the king please.." he was smiling as he carried a scroll on a pillow and there was two other priest with him; Gwen nodded her head slowly and turned to arthur calling out to him softy"Arthur come inside there is someone of importance here I do believe"; When Arthur finallly came in the priest bowed on there knees and the bishop bowed his head with a smile"Arthur blessed are you for God has sent you to us in our time of need I ask that you sign this statement claiming yourself as the king of Brittiana so that we may receive the blessing from the pope.. I would also love the honor of crowing you in our chapel today my lord" the servants produced the crown that was tossed aside"That crown will not do.. Arthur would rather have a ringlet of flowers instead of the crown which was worn by the man who killed his parents" the bishop looked down at the piece of gold in sorrow"I see... it will take awhile to produce another crown.. will your majesty reconsider?" the bishop asked;

The bishop nodded in understanding "I know the feeling your majesty and I shall do as you ask" he took the rings and bowed to arthur as well as his attendants"May God's blessing shine upon you" when they had all left Gwen began to ask arthur"What is the next plan? We have defeated this king but he isn't reign over all of Brittania there is still more..." she bit her nail in thought as she began to pace infront of him"What if they send a massive army? We just finished fighting a battle..... have we prepared for the worst?" she asked him turning with a frown"And what if the queen and her two sons? Are they to stay in Sanctuary or are we to move them under house arrest?";

Gwen looked away from him as he told her about her responsibility she would rather stay with him but she knew he was right"Of course.. I have to return.." she told him rubbing her forehead"Since everything is secure for now... I suppose we should rest for now.." she told him quietly"I'll be leaving in the morn.. I will most likely not return for awhile if I am away" she told him; turning she left the room her own emotions catching up to her.. he was traveling a road she wasn't sure if she could catch up with.. but for now she had to get focus on the task at hand.. making sure there would always be a place and peace for her and her people. She walked outside the castle walls to be comforted by some the chiefs of neighboring tribes"We need to know if we can leave the woods and begin to set up lands for our people" she forgot about her promise so much had happened she nodded in agreement"Of course.. I have more work for here.. tomorrow morning I shall have you gather a meeting with pendragon before I leave our for my home land please take rest now.. I know you are anxious and wish not to be tricked but I promise you non shall happen and you shall get all you have asked for" she assured them; Some of them looked doubtful others nodded in understanding and some even looked rather disappointed for it was always there fear they would be cast aside last? she then replied"I am sure there is many to morn would you like for me to attend some of the processions?" she asked them all as quietness came over the group slowly one by one they all nodded as they all filled out and she followed them; Leaving the city she looked back at their victory but knowing the next few days would be more work than any of them have ever dealt; The evening sun she put on ceremonial garments the pyre were built as everyone began to mourn for there fellow men;
