Readying his rod, Ruin kept his steady pace[5 square move action] as the others rapidly advanced on the dread eaters. Keeping his distance from the others, just in case -if he ends within 10 squares Ruin would extend his arm and release a bolt of cursed eldritch energy. (Eldritch Bolt 16 vs Reflex; 23 Force Damage) -If not “Sure, everyone just rushes into combat.” Ruin would say to himself, as he scanned the surrounding. (Perception 7)

Aftermath Crisis (Rocks taking up less than one square, as well as squares occupied by dead bodies, are difficult terrain. Rocks larger than 1 square require an athletics check of 8 to move over. The carriage is 4 squares high and provides blocking terrain, requiring an athletics check of 18 to climb on top of it.) Initiative Order Revenge: 65/65 Valac: HP: 69/69 Guards: Ilikan HP: 75/75 Crawlers: Kuori: 54/54 Ruin: 59/59
(I rolled Valac's initiative just to keep things going. His result is in the top of this post) The party spots the conflict too far away to immediately join the fray. However, as they rush forward Kuori recognizes the monsters attacking the guards as Carrion Crawlers from past encounters with them. She remembers that their tentacles are coated with a paralytic poison. Ruin spots nothing out of the ordinary as he moves forward, besides the four large tentacled caterpillar like creatures attacking the carriage and its guards. The guards are clad head to toe in shiny, fancy looking platemail, obscuring their features. The carriage is quite ornate and strangely looks designed in such a way that no horses could be latched to it. The guards and the carrion crawlers seem to notice the party's approach but are too engaged in combat with each other to react. In the heat of battle one of the carrion crawlers and a guard move behind the carriage, obscuring them from the party's view, though the sounds of their fighting can still be heard. (Revenge is up! Go get'em!)

75/65 hit points, -5 to attacks until start of round 2((I assume we are still in a part of the area with sky and don't need light sources; otherwise, I had my everburning torch out and drop it at the end of my move.)) MOVE ACTION x2Being in full plate himself, Revenge knew he wouldn't be able to reach battle at the same time as his allies. As the people he was coming to assist were also in full plate, he knew they'd understand. Leaving the closer Crawler for whoever wanted to call dibs, he starts moving to the other side of the cart. Quote: Double Run Action, 14 spaces NW to O12, it looks like? MINOR ACTIONAfter running, Revenge draws his blade, ready for combat. Never run with swords, kids!

Quote: Standard ActionCharge to Q21 swapping in Howling Strike for the Basic Attack. ((The party is still on the surface in broad daylight so it is bright lighting. PS, I love the fact Valac is carrying two full blades even though he can only use one at a time, very barbarian of him.)) As Revenge runs to get into a better position Valac charges forth and sinks his Fullblade deep into the back of the nearest crawler. It lets out a horrid scream as his blade pierces its wiggling flesh. Valac definitely feels he has gotten its attention now. Seeing Valac attacker the guards now seem certain the party is hear to help. G3 shifts into flanking position with Valac and slashes the Crawler with his long sword. The rest of guards also attack the crawlers facing them with G2 and G4 also landing hits. ((Ilikan up! After this round I will be shifting your initiative to before the guards to make it easier for me to do map updates ))

With the enemy so far away and already on the guardsmen, there wasn't much Ilikan could do except to get in there- and make a lot of noise doing it, more than happy to draw some of the attention his way. Making a defiant cry, he pulled his hammer out and immediately began barreling across the field toward the nearest crawler and guard, intent on doing some good sooner rather than later, rather than simply move to it without hostility and hope it would turn its eye his direction- particularly as there were yet more guards ahead who he might need to move to aid when his other allies caught up.

Ilikan charges forth and resoundingly smashes the nearest crawler on its back with his hammer. The creature is looking incredibly damaged at this point. In a fury it turns and lunges at Valac with is maw of dagger like teeth. But it seemed to still be reeling from the hits it had taken and Valac easily dodges its attack. The rest of the crawlers focus on attacking the guards already engaging them. G2 and G4 both take a nasty bite from the creatures. ((Kuori up! Map will be updated at a later point since Alphabetfish has come down with some sort of a virus and can barely leave her bed. Wish her a speedy recovery!))

Kuori, not being able to make it into the fight proper, moves northwest 5 sq (Y23?) and raises her weapon to the sky, "Hey you overgrown worm, meet the divine boot." She slams the ground with the weapon as a beam of light comes from the sky and slams into the Carrion Crawler by Valac.
[26 to hit VS Ref for 13 dmg, Valac has combat advantage until the end of my next turn.]

Kuori's summoned bolt of light arcs down from the heavens and smites the Crawler. However, it is not enough to finish it off. The creature still has some fight left in it.

"You lot, alright?!" Ruin would shout to the guards as he slowly walked to the large rock and drew his Infernal Rod. "Still counting all your fingers and toes?" He would reiterate, Before releasing an aimed burst of energy at the C.Crawler Valac/Illikan faced off against. Before moving closer, again.

Ruin strikes the crawler with his bolt of energy tearing a hole in its flesh, but the creature still seems to be clinging to life, if just barely."
The guard closest would shout back to Ruin. "We are alright right now, but we could sure use the help. Are you from the fort?"

While Revenge does manage to get the Crawlers attention, the creature aptly dodges his attack. With a mighty swing of his full blade, Valac finishes slashing the worm in half before rushing in a blood fueled craze at the next crawler. He brings down his sword on its back with a satisfying spray of green bug ichor. It smells horrendous. ((Ilikan Up!))
