Avalanche became perplexed when Kenshin revealed that the card had a map hidden inside of it. When Kenshin asked them about Antioch, they expressed confusion they wished they could contain. "It's just a new card archetype. I only thought it was strange because the paper was different." Avalanche said passively. They then composed themselves when they realized that Kenshin may not know what a card archetype is. "A card archetype is a deviating group of cards that are bound by an aesthetic. For the Antioch archetype, they're a counter deck response to the other major archetypes, like the ones surrounding your card." They said as they gave the card shop another look. Avalanche pointed to a blue skinned man with a horn protruding from his head. "That guy is known for playing the Antioch card archetype. It is from him I protruded the card. His name is Eiffel Baguette, and he has refused to explain the secret of where his cards come from." Avalanche stated coldly. While they wanted to distance themselves from playing this game, the truth was that they bought the card off of the guy because they needed a copy of it in their deck in order to keep up with the current meta.
Kojiro continued to linger in the background of the conversation, not having a great clue as to what this card game was, but was following Avalanche's descriptions of it very well. Truthfully, unlike Kenshin he was quite interested in the card game. Perhaps it was his youth that left him open to the concept of it all.
The examination of the concept led Kojiro to speak. " Is Antioch an archetype that is specifically built to counter Master of Justice's Archetype or just Archetype's in general?" He would let Kenshin examine the blue man skinned man who was described.

But I put the odds of that between zero and none. The map is not clearly visible to the naked eye and does not seem to be advertised or replicated in other decks in the shop. Look, you would have to shave down and destroy the card to even get a glimpse at it." This was all too much of a cryptic mystery for it to be merely a part of the game. When Kojiro asked his question Kenshin would take command. "Seems to be specifically against the Master of Justice." Kenshin handed the card to his partner for him to examine for staring into the shop. He watched the blue-skinned gentleman with sharpened curiosity. "A man even stranger than his name...somehow. He'll answer to the police." The captain then walked away from the two and entered the comic and games shop. Kenshin expected Kojiro and Avalanche to follow him. He walked up to the blue-skinned man directly before stating his questions. The detective showed him his badge before proceeding. "I'm Captain Kosei of the APD. What do you know about the Antioch cards? Are they published by the manufacturer or custom made?" This was the first question Kenshin wanted to be answered. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.

The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

Avalanche rolled their eyes when Kojiro spoke. While Kenshin was the figurehead of justice and thus immune to any negative comment, Kojiro was a pawn of the Arashikage placed in a position of power by him. Furthermore, if they recalled correctly then he was supposed to be in a position of internal affairs, and yet all of this somehow managed to fly by over his head. This meant that Kojiro was either radically ignorant of the affairs of his own workings or was involved in the issue as well. However, to insinuate Kenshin's student as being part of the problem would further drive a wedge between Avalanche and Kenshin. It was for that reason they chose silence over their voiced opinion, and slipped away the moment Kojiro made himself known.
Eiffel, however, was anything but silent. The moment Kenshin and crew strolled up on him he twirled his fake mustache and took a gander at the fleeing Avalanche. "Oui? I did not realize that the sore loser called upon the coppers to solve his problems." Baguette said in the Frenchest way possible, not only to insult Avalanche but to misgender them as well. "No warrant, no secrets. After all, if I told everyone where to get my cards, then I would not have an edge on the competition." He further stated with a heavy french accent. If the man was asked further questions or Kenshin made further demands then he would just pretend to be a mime who could not speak. That was how french this horned blue oni was.
Kojiro followed closely behind the Captian, remaining silent as he moved to question the shop keeper. As they moved in, the man became clearly uncooperative. Kojiro would listen and shake his head as the mustache was twirled. Kojiro sighed, stepping forward to speak, knowing that Kenshin's Byakugan would not miss a single detail in his body language and speech. " Sir. I really do hate to push this..." the gray haired officer said as he scribbled several names on a torn piece of parchment at the counter. " I believe the names listed here are all customers that frequent your shop based on intelligence gathered by the APD. " The three names listed were rather notable criminals who were from the area that acted as informants to Kojiro. This Eiffel would not know. What he would know however was that they were some of his biggest spenders. " I know for a fact that all three have a strong chance of being convicted if I were to pick them up and I'm not sure that your small time shop could survive without the patronage of such underworld tactics." His emerald green eyes focused in like a wolf fixated on it's prey, it's pack standing at the ready to deliver the final blow." I can prolong their incarceration....and keep the staff here from having all their dealings and transactions looked into with these three....could take a lot of business from you if it goes on too long...all I need is a little bit of cooperation. Besides. Nobody here has time for games." It was a more gritty and intimidating method of getting his way than Kenshin was most likely used to seeing, but applying pressure like this would work. Besides. The three informants weren't in any danger from this bluff.

▱▰▱Kenshin placed his hands behind his back and squared his shoulders when Eiffel responded. After taking a breath in anticipation of needing to respond Kojiro had already taken the lead. His Byakugan allowed him to read what was on the paper Kojiro was showing him and he could not help but feel pleased. His face remained that of stone although he would walk around the shop. He allowed Kojiro to continue his interrogation as he investigated various cards. Kenshin gathered as many that had secret map pieces in them as possible. Although he was unsure if they were all connected or even useful given the possibility that the secrets in the cards could just be a mechanic of the game. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

"Dude I run a shop for children cards and play them competitively as an adult. Do you really think I know anything?" Eiffel said honestly. "I didn't even notice the cards made a map. I just assumed that it was an aesthetic thing or something. The kage seems really big on that." He said, since the cards were being mass produced at the will of the kage. When Kenshin asked if his cousin was Trefles, he struck a pose. "Of course! Don't we look related?" He said as he too was part of the blue skinned oni clan. "Well, he's kind of a distant cousin though. Like, I've never met him or anything. But I'm sure if we ever met that we would be thick as thieves!" He said, as he got the cards from writing letters begging to get some edge on the competition since he was related to Trefles. It was for that reason that, when he anonymously received these Antioch cards, that he assumed that they were a gift from his cousin. After all, the Oni took care of their own, right?
Kenshin seemed to have deduced something more than Kojiro had. He had successfully guessed the cousins name. Well, not a guess. Deduction. Kojiro had not had the pleasure of meeting this Trefles but he seemed an interesting character. Kojiro really had nothing else to add to the interrogation as the man plea'd his lack of knowledge. He sighed, looking to Kenshin for any followup questions he may have, taking second fiddle to the situation and allowing Kenshin to lead the way to their next stop. Kojiro would however have a strong desire to meet this man's cousin and question him as well, although, the warehouse was probably a more excitable lead.

In addition, Formless complex and spiritual techniques gain this lightning affinity as well if specified when utilizing the technique. • Fluid Movement | Rank E | Training Techniques used for a blocking, countering or evasive action have their cost reduced by 5 stamina per rank of the technique and must pay no less than 5 stamina. • Whirlpool Walking | Rank C | Training The user is now more adept at using circular footwork and can use it against multiple attackers, usually weaving between them, keeping them bumping into each other or simply getting in each others way, taking away any numerical advantage. In the deflecting stance, the user can deflect a technique of their body rank or lower once every three posts for no activation, still requiring the stamina/chakra cost paid. • Move as Water | Rank A | Training Description: The user has dealt with so many situations being outnumbered that their ability to move in tight and confined spaces is greatly increased. The user’s blade work is tighter, relying on their body and footwork to generate force. The user’s footwork is so fluid that they are able to turn on a dime, making a combination of strikes go into multiple directions without interrupting the combination. Techniques that target multiple opponents may now have additional reserves paid in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the individual attack to the next highest rank.These can be paid individually, not requiring chakra or stamina to be paid for every split technique. • Illusion Dancing | Rank E | Training After countless hours of practicing skills that utilize chakra pathways, the user is capable of leaving after images of themselves at the turning points of each pathway for an E rank amount of chakra during the execution of the technique. • May Wind, October Rain | Rank E | Training Focusing on their opponent's breathing, the user is able to detect abnormalities in their breathing patterns, indicating an offensive movement. Once every three posts, the user is able to defend against an offensive activation without utilizing an activation. This skill requires no chakra or activation. • Blessed Rain | Rank C | Training The user's informed of the incoming costs of what is to come, and as such, must practice their chakra control through controlled bursts from various parts of their body. Chakra cost for complex and spiritual bukijutsu techniques reduced by five. • Insight Rain | Rank B | Training The user will practice extending themselves into the atmosphere, in a sense. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent within the topic they are in. Those of Sensory Class are able to detect the specific source and the extent of the hostility. • Heavy Punch | Rank E | Training The basis of the style, punch hard, punch first. The user is able to spend stamina in order to increase the strength of their punches for no activation. For each rank applied, a slight increase to strength is conferred. • Combination Training | Rank S | Training Once every three posts, the user is able to deliver a choking or locking technique for no activation when following a successful throwing technique. • Minimum Effort; Maximum Efficiency | Rank S | Training The user's throwing techniques require 5 less stamina per rank of the technique with a minimum cost of 5 stamina.

Personal Attributes • Chidori Specialist | Grants [3] custom techniques to be used as variants of Chidori, these custom jutsu are considered a Chidori Variant. The user may also apply clan Augment techniques to Chidori, Chidori Variant and Raikiri Jutsu. In addition, the user's chidori techniques bypass all armor entirely. Raikiri is considered a Chidori Variant technique. ▱▰▱Kenshin ever so slightly raised an eyebrow at being called dude, which was certainly a first for the stoic man. When he confirmed that he and Trefles were in fact related he nodded. That was a rather simple deducation for him to make. "I'll take my leave then." Kenshin calmly responded as he gathered the Antioch cards in his hands. He then stored them as a deck in his breast pocket before sharply turning around and stepping out of the shop. Kenshin committed the warehouse's location to memory and began his march towards it. "Captain Kosei here. En route to the Black Cloud's western warehouse with Officer Kanzaki. Investigating a possible lead called Antioch. Standby for assistance." He spoke into his police radio as he walked out of the Gust District to inform the precinct on the ongoing investigation.

Nuibari Attributes • Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.
Discipline & Cross Class Attributes • Expert: Rapier | The user has achieved a sense of mastery and focus unlike others and are known as an Expert, a dedicated focus over a weapon they use to near perfection. As the twins walk onto the main street of the district from a side road, they almost immediately seem to be infatuated with all the various shops and stores; though they seem to linger around any of the workshops, obviously very interested in what they do in there. Itsuki then turns to look at Thresher, who is following behind the twins, and says: "So, what might you be interested in taking a look at first; Thresher?" Though the words had barely passed her lips when Makoto spoke up saying: "Perchance, something to eat? I know a amazing dongo place nearby." Now Makoto has also turned to look at Thresher. They both have rather expectant looks on their faces, giving them an almost innocent appearance.

Thresher let out a small gas as her eyes lit of with wonder when the trio entered the shopping district. She'd never seen anthing like it; a street lined with shops of every kind on each side! As the three of them continued down, the shark zigged and zagged from food stall to food stall, buying anything that smelled delicious and fried.
By the time the Narukami sisters turned to look at her, Thresher had already taken a large bite of the plethora of fried squid in her hands, the stick protruding from her mouth. She blinked with a slight confused look on her face. "Uhhhhh." Thresher swallowed loudly gulped down whatever food was in her mouth before she answered
"Dongo?" She tilted her head. "Can't say I've had it." Thresher grinned a toothy grin. "But I'd love to try it!"
Just as she finished talking, someone bumped in to her. Thresher wasn't used to crowded streets, but the girl was still making sure she gave everyone a wide enough birth, But this man bumped into with enough force to knock her a few inches to the side.
"Hey!" Suddenly Thresher looked angry, turning to yell at the man. "Watch where you're going, a*****e!" If the man was scared of, or even heard, her remark, he didn't seem to notice. "I see people in the larger towns are bigger jerks than the small ones..." She grumbled, turning back to the twins.
They both watched Threshers' reactions intently, making mental note of her every reaction and movement. When she'd have turned back to the pair of them, they'd be grinning quite broadly. It was obvious that malicious thoughts were racing through their minds, the way their eyes twinkled made them look like predators seconds before scoring a kill. "Oh, they're not all like that... but they do happen." Itsuki says, her eyes practically lighting up at the idea of some inhuman thought. "Oh sister, you'll make her scared of the people here talking like that; we're supposed to be helping get comfortable with the environs... right?" Makoto says, though her eyes seem to have also lit up at the supposedly same thought. The two of them turn to look at eachother a moment, and giggle in what sounds like a normal way: But it still carries an awfully eerie vibe to it.
"Buuut... First, dongo!" Makoto says, breaking the eerie tension in the air. "Must we? It almost seems like that if I don't stop you, you'd eat nothing but dongo..." Itsuki quickly interjects with. "Oh, you know that isn't true... I'm just happy I get to have the chance to eat dongo so much... Hehehe" Makoto quickly responds. Itsuki then sighs, and lets' her sister lead the way.
If it weren't for Makoto's utter apparent confidence in where she was going, one would think she'd gotten lost. However, Itsuki on the other hand seems to have become very curious about Thresher. It's either that, or she's become enamored with her; it's hard to tell. "Thresher, I've been curious about something... Do you find me and my sister at all... frightening? Most people see us and begin to shake uncontrolably in terror, but you... seem almost comfortable around us." Itsuki pauses a moment in thought, then says: "I apologize if the question seems odd, but it's something... we're not used to. Even our parents, however loving they may be, are often frightened of us; not as though as myself nor Makoto would ever do a thing to harm them, we've even told them as much. And yet... they still act scared, almost as if they think us monsters" Quite oddly, in comparason to how she normally speaks, Itsuki seems to be speaking with quite the somber tone. "Maybe... I'm just overthinking things, but I get quite worried for those that respond to me and my sister with fear; and I know Makoto feels the same. It might seem an odd idea, a predator that worries for its' prey, but it is the truth." Though Thresher would only have had the shortest amount of time to experience either of the twins speaking in such a somber tone, it's easy enough to tell that their is some kind of pain that they both feel; as difficult as it is to place just what it is. Having by this point turned into an alleyway, Makoto stopped moving. Itsuki, in response to this, also stopped moving. "Something... Is watching us... Makoto says in an almost inaudible voice. "Hmm... Seems... oddly familiar..." Itsuki responds with in just as quiet a tone. Though Thresher would have probably noticed it as well, the seemed to be alive with ill intent static. Looking down the alleyway, the darkness seems to practically deepen; as if swallowing the ambient light. Alongside this, strange sounds began to permeate the air; ranging from animal sounds, to random bits of disturbing conversation. And slowly, with a sudden chill in the air, a ghost-like apparition seems to come into existence as it seemingly walks out of one of the shops further along the alley. The ghost itself kind of looks... a lot like Thresher, though it appears to be several years older and battle-scarred. However, looking at the entity would cause intense chills and for goosebumps to run along the onlookers' skin. The twins, on the otherhand, seem to only be tense.
