Radiant Anon Solsi Sammy leaned back and sat down in her seat again, adjusting her napkin on her lap. "Sample platter it is." she obliged happily. Flagging down a waitress she pointed to what they wanted on the menu. "Hi there, we'd like to share this please, and some hot oolong tea to drink." She glanced back at Tobias. "You wanted jasmine, right?"OOC: "I...I mean...I'm not like a control freak or anything...I can be flexible..."
...So you'd prefer he put you in a blindfold?
"STOP TALKING!" >//o//<
Heh. Tobias now simply smiled, leaning back as well and crossing his arms Being led here, now being ordered for, this was certainly new. A hint of amusement played about his face and he gave Sammy a nod as she asked him about the tea.
"Yes jasmine would be wonderful, thank you."
((Be happy I'm keeping someone on the other side of the wall, because she just said she was flexible. I'll just be sitting here chuckling, poor Sammy. ))

Sammy nodded and confirmed it to the watiress. "Mm, one oolong and one jasmine. Thank you." She turned the menus in and leaned back in her seat a little as the waitress left to process their orders with the chef. "There we go. Now we just play the waiting game, which hopefully shouldn't take too long." She laughed slightly and glanced at the wall art. "It's a little weird being waited on and not being the one waiting on people. My feet sure aren't complaining though."OOC: Pretty much any insinuation makes her blush. Somehow she never sees it coming.
*off in the corner, blushing and mumbling*

Radiant Anon Solsi Sammy nodded and confirmed it to the watiress. "Mm, one oolong and one jasmine. Thank you." She turned the menus in and leaned back in her seat a little as the waitress left to process their orders with the chef. "There we go. Now we just play the waiting game, which hopefully shouldn't take too long." She laughed slightly and glanced at the wall art. "It can be nice to let someone else do what one is use to doing now and then, yes. I do hope dance lessons will not be too tough on your feet, seeing as how your job has you on them so much."
His gaze shifted to the side a moment as he thought about something. He was quiet for several seconds then gazed back at her again.
"Sammy my dear, permit me to ask, are you very much against others helping you?"
((You do realize you're giving me fodder and I through Fading like to achieve a blush, correct? ))

"Hm?" Sammy looked at him blankly, taking a minute to register his question. She smiled awkwardly, rubbing the back of her head. "Is it that obvious?" she laughed, trying to ease the tension. She cleared her throat and folded her hands on her lap. "I'm not against it...I just...have a difficult time accepting it I guess. Sometimes I get the feeling people have a hard time taking me seriously and I uh, really want them to respect me." Her voice got quieter and quieter nearing the end of the sentence.OOC: Well hey, makes for interesting writing. Besides Sammy likes the atten -

"It is, but I have more than just today to glean from."
Listening to her and having to lean forward a little to catch it all, he then sat back again.
"I can see how it might make one feel as if they are taken less seriously. However, it could be that they, like you, would prefer to be of help to another. It is not always that we think another incapable, some simply like to do things for others. But Sammy my dear.."
He paused and reached over, hooking a finger under her chin to lift it so their eyes could meet.
"You can always politely decline. In some cases, help can only happen if you let someone help you."
When he finished speaking, he moved his hand back, leaving it to her to keep looking up or not.
((It's become a touch dangerous on our side of the wall today. Are you going to be alright? ))

Sammy's breath eased to a stop, her eyes slightly wider than usual as they stared into his, entranced by their depth and the hypnotic tone of his voice. The message was drilled melodically into her mind, heart skipping a beat as his finger left its perch on her chin. Blinking, Sammy took a quiet breath and realized she'd been leaning forward slightly. Plopping back in her seat, the blush on her cheeks was masked by the steam from the kettle placed on their table by the returning waitress, followed by two cups on saucers. "Thank you." she mumbled to the waitress as she left to tend to other patrons. "I see your point..." she remarked shyly, staring down at her empty glass. "Curious though, where this is coming from...have I been too dismissive of you?" she asked, glancing up at him momentarily.OOC: *twitching hand turns and gives a shaky thumbs-up*

This was directed at their waitress, though he looked at Sammy a little longer before looking down at the kettle.
"Too dismissive, no. However, I do recall you being less than wanting of help after your unfortunate fall. I settled for picking you up and setting you in a more comfortable position though."
Here his eyes met her's again as he smiled.
"Would you like to pour, or shall I?"
((Heh, good. Need anything, a pillow perhaps? ))

Sammy tried not to call attention to the rosy hue in her cheeks as she dared herself to maintain the eye contact for as long as she could. "You did...what?" she asked softly, somewhat surprised. "I did sort of wonder how I wound up there..." She picked up her chopsticks and fiddled around with them absently. "But that was because..." "Would you like to pour, or shall I?" Sammy smiled, figuring now was a good time to demonstrate her acceptance. "You may, if you like."OOC: Make it a pillow pet and you've got a deal~

"You may, if you like."OOC: Make it a pillow pet and you've got a deal~ "I picked you up off the floor and carried you to a seat. I could not leave you on the floor in such a state. Because what, Sammy my dear?"
A pleased look came to his eyes and he gave a slight nod. Taking the kettle, he poured hot water first in her cup then in his. He then went about steeping his tea.
"Do you like that particular tea strong or more weak?"
Eyeing the bag, he was merely curious how she took that particular type.

"I tend to like it stronger." she said quickly. She almost let the new topic glide over what she was about to say, but she forced herself to fess up. After being called out for not accepting help very often, it seemed only right to be honest. "Because Minty...and how you two spoke...I could've sworn...and I was embarrassed..." she confessed quietly. "Silly right? I promise I'll do better...starting with this glass." She dipped the tea bag a couple times and held the glass up with an apologetic smile.OOC: Surprise me!

She dipped the tea bag a couple times and held the glass up with an apologetic smile.OOC: Surprise me! He made an affirmative murmur, then regarded her as she tried to get out an answer. Giving an apologetic smile, he shook his head.
"I am sorry we gave you the wrong idea, we just happen to be very comfortable with each other. I am fairly comfortable with most people I speak to, in all honesty. I have no shame, though the closest I get is to feel bad if I make someone uncomfortable."
After his tea had steeped to his liking, he took the bag out and lifted his cup as well.
"I shall look forward to it. Incidentally, what you heard involving Minty's shirt. That was her offering me her's so you would not have to get another eyeful of me you might not be ready for."
Giving a wink, he sipped his tea to keep from smirking.
((This one seems fitting for the time of year. ))

That should have been comforting, yet it somehow wasn't. The blush vanished from her cheeks and her eyes sunk to the table. "Good to hear...you're comfortable with...most people...like that..." She tried not to give away the disappointment in her tone. Closing her eyes she drank from her cup, silently resigning to the truth that what she thought she felt was likely just a game he liked to play with all his friends. Setting her glass down she dabbed her mouth and sobered up from the emotional lilt. "I don't think that'll be a problem in the future." she promised modestly. "It just sort of caught me off guard, in combination with the song and all." The waitress returned balancing a tray in her palm and set a large plate down between them, then two smaller plates for each of them to transfer the food to. Sammy thanked her again and was returned with a nod. Picking up her chopsticks she opened and closed them a few times to get the feel.OOC: Ah, I couldn't see it for some reason. I'm sure it was cute though.

"Sammy my dear, I fear again I have not given the right idea. I am comfortable with most people,yes. That does not mean things like what happened that particular day at the cafe are a norm. I took it in stride as I knew it was not meant to actually mean anything."
Why he was attempting to explain this, he wasn't sure. She just looked so crestfallen, and he hated to see her like that. He had only paused since food was being placed down. He nodded politely at their waitress, but looked back at Sammy with a touch of concern.
"In all honesty, I wore what I wore and sang that because I thought it might amuse. Clearly, I did not realize there might be a completely different effect."
There was a slight pause as he kept his gaze on her.
"Are you alright, Sammy my dear?"
((Well damn. I did a search for them on google and found a red cat with hearts. ))

Sammy shook her head. "It's okay, you don't have to explain. I think I understand now." she replied with a forced smile. There's nothing between you and anyone... her heart thought as it face-desked in defeat. Quickly changing the subject, she pointed to sections of the giant platter with her chopsticks. "Here are the egg rolls, I believe they're shrimp egg rolls, there's the crab rangoon, the szechuan vegetables, lo mein noodles, rice, sweet and sour pork, and the orange chicken."OOC: I was right, that does sound cute.
Don't mind Sammy, she tends to misunderstand a lot when it comes to guys.
