.... wow.... I think the fact that I haven't been super active on gaia for the past year and a half is starting to show.....I would have never thought prices like that were even feasible for art auctions! XD

This is how I feel the gold should be spread out, but not finalized until I get everyone's ok (especially from the auction artists). Currently, we have 12 active artists... 5 mil per active artist (60mil total) 5 mil per mod (15mil total) 90 mil in saving towards next year's event 23.57 mil* per auction artist ----- This will be the set numbers. I feel that anything beyond 5mil is a bit too excessive for a challenge that is suppose to help motivate artists get out of their limitation or comfort zone. We are rewarding their efforts and strong dedication. I hope this will help set the standard for future events to bring in even more artists that can get the best of both worlds (receiving gold while improving their skills and pushing their boundaries). I understand that we may receive a lot of gold for the auction. And no matter what number it ends up, HALF of that amount will be split between the 7 auction artists. Rather it be 330mil or 1B... we are the driving force behind this auction and our art is what is appealing to the bidder. So I feel that it's only fair that half of it goes to us, and the other half is split into more set-numbers. If you find any of this unfair, please do not hesitate to either PM me or post it in the thread. It's whatever you're most comfortable with. Something new. I've been doing some thinking..................... I mean, it seems rather ridiculous if we were to be ABed and the active artists were getting 34mil each......... that's a little over the top... I rather save for next year's event so that we can host/have even more artists! Yes, I'm sure we all want to say while covering our hearts that we don't want to do this event for gold... but gold is a driving force (just as money). Self-motivation tends to die on a rainy day. So if there was a reward like say, 5mil or even more in the future..... that might push people, even those who say they don't care about the gold. Because let's face it. Gold is what makes Gaia run... it's the thing we use to buy things. If enduring 100-days get you something you've been questing for (or will help your quest by however much can be won), who wouldn't push through those rainy days and lack of self-motivation day? ... that is the goal I have with this event, that is my vision and purpose/expectation from this 100-day event.

Checking in with the buyer every once in awhile... this is at your own discretion and pace. I like to check in with each step, but that's because I want them to be truly satisfied-- this is not something you have to do!! (I check in when I'm finished with a sketch, line art, and flat color.) 3. Make sure you WATERMARK everything when you present it to her -- this is for safety reasons, not because we don't trust her. It also prevents theft from other people that are stalking our thread-- I want to limit everyone to posting in the thread, but if you are more comfortable with PM with her... then I don't think I have the right to limit you. Just know I don't know what is going on in PM, and if you run into trouble, I might not be able to help you properly. 4. When you're done, please email me (lcdollie@gmail.com) the final product. DO NOT POST IT ANYWHERE ONLINE YET!!! I know you're excited, but please wait off.
