Haku nodded, if only to acknowledge that she'd heard Zabuza's comment. "Yessir." As she leaped from branch to branch, she thought about what Alric had said. Though she didn't voice her thoughts on the matter, she wasn't too upset that he was probably stuck with them. He was eye-candy, to say the least, and she wasn't complaining at all. His family seemed nice enough, and it helped that they were so willing to help and stay with Zabuza and her, despite their situation and such. However, she didn't want to admit any of this aloud, for fear that she was just getting ahead of herself in thinking of Alric more than just a comrade. Feeling for her mask, she donned it now, mostly to hide the slight blush that had warmed her face.

Zabuza tilted his head as he moved a bit quicker, his gaze scanning around thoughtfully. "Ah, so it is... if nothing else, we may be able to get another bounty on top of the payment for this mission," he said with a faint smirk as he saw the blond and pinkette along with the annoying looking kid in dark blue he recognized immediately as an Uchiha.Alric cocked his head as he noticed the guy with the dark green vest and facial mask as well as the odd tilted headband. "That guy looks about as impressive as one of Toad's stink bombs," he muttered under his breath a few feet to Haku's right. The guy they seemed to be escorting didn't look much better and even from the near thirty or forty feet that separated them he could smell the sour odor of sake, and cheap, poorly made sake at that. Saia Kakaru OOC- Basically what follows after this is canon, so if you want we can just skip it.

To the untrained or unfamiliar eye, the silver-haired man didn't seem like much. But Haku had a felling that man was a jounin, accompanying what seemed to be a group of genin. Of course, the kids could be chuunin, but she highly doubted it from the way they dressed. Bright orange, fire red, and a giant target on his back? Are they asking someone to kill them? Haku mused, noting the headbands. "Seems like Konoha has become soft." she said quietly, mostly to herself. Still, she stayed where she was, still as a pond on a calm day, observing what was to happen.Kaosujin Ryu Yeah we can skip ahead since like you said, it's gonna be canon. I don't mind where we come back in.

Zabuza grunted as he was slammed hard into the tree, fairly sure that Haku would know what to do. "I see your future, Zabuza, and it is your death," Kakashi said. Alric watched the fight and saw the kids almost collapse under what he recognized as killing intent. "Is it just me, or is this their first 'real' mission?" he muttered to Haku as the two water dragons battled for supremacy and dispelled before a massive torrent of water drove Zabuza back through two trees and hard into a third. "I mean, even a blind man could see those kids coming..." he muttered he knew that he himself technically was a 'kid' as well, though his life experiences had left him mature mentally for his age.

Haku nodded once, to at least acknowledge that she'd heard Alric. "It is. Anyone else would've done so much more if this had been their second or third real mission." She said softly, noticing that Zabuza wasn't faring too well against this 'Kakashi' person. Swiftly drawing two needles, she quickly sent them flying at Zabuza's neck. Following her needles, she motioned for Alric to stay where he was. Standing proudly on a nearby tree branch, she announced her presence. "Hehe…you're right. He's dead." she said, trying to mask the emotion in her voice.
Silently, she watched as the silver-haired jounin went to make sure of her handiwork. She needed to play the part of a hunter-nin, as to distract the attention from their true motives. Swallowing her unease, she bowed, so thankful for her mask right then. "Thank you very much. I've been searching for the opportunity to kill Zabuza for a long time." It didn't surprise her that it meant conversing with the enemy for a while, nor was it surprising that the younger ninjas did not know what a hunter nin was. What was surprising to her was when the orange clad boy shouted at her. Needless to say, she was quite miffed by his outburst, almost taking offense to the words. This child has no knowledge of the world outside his happy home in Konoha. Haku thought sourly, pursing her lips together. Teleporting herself down from the tree, she went to Zabuza's side.
"I must dispose of the body now, since it seems to be one with many secrets. Farewell." Without even waiting for anyone to respond, she hefted Zabuza over her shoulder and whisked them both away, closer to where Alric was. To make sure that she wasn't followed by anyone, she pulled out her hunter-nin tools and began to mutter quietly to herself, playing her old role well. "First I'll cut the mouth cloth, drain some blood, and then…" Going over the steps, she closed in on the bandages around his mouth with small ninja scissors.

Zabuza's hand snapped up as the scissors, catching Haku's wrist though his arm was trembling. Alric was tempted to attack the idiotic orange clad blond when he yelled at Haku, not sure why he wanted to react so violently. He could feel the subtle warmth as the nanites in his body seeped out of his pores and hardened into fine interlocking scales over his body as his fingers gained half inch long curving claws though his palms were untouched as he pushed off, landing next to Haku. "Interesting that you can produce a near-death trance, though I know nerve clusters that can paralyze or kill better than most things," he said quietly. He watched out of the corner of his eye as the silver haired Jōnin collapsed, apparently exhausted though the two boys caught and started dragging him around the lake with the silver haired man helping as he could.

Glancing over her shoulder to see that the enemies were gone, she helped Zabuza sit up. "I wasn't expecting you to be moving so soon." she said quietly, eyeing him curiously. His bloodshot eyes were normal for someone coming out of a momentary death, but she was sure it was through his strength and willpower that he came to so soon. He wouldn't have much strength to move around for about a week.
Overhearing Alric's comment, she gave a small smile that no one would see behind her mask. "I had to memorize all the acupuncture points on the body, and what they're used for. I know of those clusters too." Haku said just as quietly, hoping not to sound like she was bragging. Rolling up her hunter inn tools, she also watched the Konoha team move out of the area.

Zabuza shrugged slightly, though he didn't speak immediately as he let Haku help him up. Alric tilted his head, noticing the mild tone in her voice. "I get the feeling he's extremely stubborn," he said idly. Zabuza snorted before he spoke hoarsely though quietly. "You're an idiot, and if I didn't have to recover, I'd kick your a**," he grumbled. Alric smirked slightly. "Sounds like fun. I wouldn't mind a good sparring match. From the look of it, you're probably as strong as the wall-crawler," he remarked idly, referring to someone he'd worked with a few times, forgetting that Haku and Zabuza wouldn't know who he was referring to.

Haku raised an eyebrow, though she did not take her attention off of Zabuza. "Wall-crawler?" she asked skeptically, carefully removing the needles from Zabuza's neck. Wall crawling wasn't exactly anything new to them; with chakra control, ninjas could easily climb walls, even walk on water. She didn't perceive this wall-crawler to be very strong, by her experience. Then again, she thought to herself, his world is vastly different from mine. Checking to see if Zabuza had any other external wounds, she stood up when she'd confirmed there were none. "Let's get back to the fort; you need to rest." Haku told Zabuza, moving to help lift him up.

Alric tilted his head. "He was able to crawl on walls without using chakra of any kind on top of being inhumanly agile and strong," he said as he hefted up Kubikiribōchō experimentally. "He could pick up something about a hundred and twenty times heavier than this without even breaking a sweat... I've seen him hold up three foot thick solid stone walls before tossing them over his head at someone," he said with amusement as he gauged the decapitating sword to be roughly eighty pounds, a fairly impressive weight, considering how easily Zabuza regularly used it. Zabuza grunted as he let Haku help him up before he started walking towards the fort they had for their 'base' at the present time."I have a strong feeling that Gatō will betray us once we've recovered, regardless of whether we succeed in killing this fat drunk," he said quietly in reference to Tazuna, fairly sure that both of them could hear him as he was only a couple of feet behind them.
