"I'm going to go take a look around" said Lawrence. "see if anything was going on while you two were out." Eric woke up hearing this and gave a nod. Far be it from me to be the only thing to do. Eric thought. He sat there just watching namine sleep. My.., utopia... Can this really be it? Stuck in a bed for a week or two. Eric frowned at the thought. Even with namine at my side I don't know if I can stay sane. he sat there thinking over this.

The infirmary? I probably should of had her drag my corpse there instead of here. Oh namine I'm such a fool. My supposed selflessness nearly got me killed and put you through personal hell. Eric sighed. Why o cruel fate? Why must you torture others for something I brought on myself? he thought coughing a little. I have my friends here but I cannot guide them. My generals cannot go to war without command. Such a pity. Eric rubbed his throat only to feel the cold neck brace. His prison and his savior. Without it he would be dead but with it he knew he couldn't talk or move his neck. I'm so sorry everyone. Your hearts, as well as mine must be heavy with sorrow. Lamentations and regret. Eric frowned knowing his fate would affect his friends and family severely. if my parents knew this they would pull me out right now. I hate to keep secrets but it's been drilled into me from the committee. he thought. He longed to see the world beyond this room. He had not seen any other part of the school since he was injured.

It's not like I can speak against you anyway. Eric thought as he was picked up. I'm not heavy I just have very dense bones. Don't trouble yourself with my wants. My sanity will remain for a few days at least. Eric remained silent but didn't want namine to hurt herself carrying him. You'd think the liquid food would help me lose weight. Ha! he grinned at his inner joke.

Yogtz was alone in the room making elixirs. "hmmmm it's a bit to quiet here. Something must be afoot. I can sense it.... A dark foreboding." he said to himself. He grabbed his suitcase full of potions and flew towards the infirmary.

Lawrence walked tiredly back to the dorm and grabbed some orange juice. He drank a glass of it and felt more awake. He took a seat in a recliner and relaxed.

Lawrence and yogtz arrived at the dorm at the same time. Yogtz waved hello to lawrence. Lawrence was a bit shaky. "what's eating you Lawrence? You look like you've seen a ghost. Did your paranoia take over again kupo?" yogtz asked. Lawrence nodded. "there was someone watching me in the gardens. I couldn't see them but I knew they were there. Piercing eyes, just looking through me." Lawrence said nervously.
"ok you are on the verge of a complete psychotic breakdown. Stress from battle and pressure to perform medicinal tasks had built up and now your mind thinks it needs to do something reckless to calm it down. Let's try to relax you. Just sit in the chair and watch a few game shows." yogtz said leading Lawrence to a chair. Lawrence felt more relaxed instantly. "thank you. I guess I'm just massively stressed for some reason. All the things happening to my friends and people I don't know that well. I must be crazy." Lawrence said laughing maniacally. Yogtz floated over and produced a sleeping agent and put it into darts in case Lawrence got violent.

Yogtz and Lawrence had been continuing the day quietly. They were washing dishes after lunch when yogtz said. "it's been a week hasn't it? Eric should be able to talk some now. His leg should be good but I'll leave him a cane in case."
Lawrence was shocked. "I hadn't realized it. Time flies when you get scarred for life. I need to be more defensive. I don't want anyone going through that again." he said trying to hide his emotion. His eyes showed sadness and dread but he maintained a grimace on his face. "I guess we better go tell him. He must be going nuts not be able to walk. He must feel so small." Lawrence said.
