Lawrence and leopold recoiled at the creature cutting its own hand off.
"Damn! That thing is messed up," leopold whispered. He held his staff tightly.
"Do not engage. I repeat, do not engage it. Hopefully he'll chop himself apart and Eric will burst out of there," Lawrence replied.
Leopold nodded and looked back toward the creature, who was writhing in what appeared to be pain.

Lawrence smiled. "Calvary is here. Go Go Go!" Lawrence shouted. Leopold bounced up and immediately ran toward the creature. Lawrence drew his keyblade and ran along the walls of the canyon.

Leopold jumped and swung his staff down on the creature. It grabbed the staff and trusted its palm into Leopold's stomach. Leopold was winded.

The creature tossed leopold aside and put his hand out. It swatted away three spells before chuckling. "Pathetic creature! You can't defeat..." It took a firaga straight to the face. It recoiled and looked back up. It showed Eric's now singed face. "Keep..." The creature engulfed Eric's face again. "I have all the power. This boy is my hostage and under my..." The creature was cut off by Lawrence diving off the ledge and implanting his blade into its chest. He pulled it out and rolled backwards.

The creature was being pulled in by the gravity. It dug it's good hand deep into the earth. The unattached hand sprang up and wrapped itself around Lawrence's throat. "Damn it!" Lawrence cursed. He put his blade up to his own throat. The hand only gripped tighter. This isn't good. If I try to slash it off I might kill myself. Where the hell is support squadron when I need them? he thought. Leopold was groggily delivering blow after blow to the creature. He lunged at its stomach and it went through to Eric.
"Unhand my son!" he shouted.

The creature smirked and raised his previously buried hand to the sky. It took damage, but was now electrified as it reached for leopold. "Die!" It said. Leopold knew what he had to do. He bashed the creature's hand away and punched right through the darkness surrounding it. He grabbed a hold of Eric's shirt and pulled back. Despite the massive amounts of electricity being pumped into him, he still pulled. Lawrence saw this and decided he had to finish this. He quickly slashed across his own neck and destroyed the hand. He gasped for breath and fell to his knee. "Bloody hell. I have to get back..." he panted. He rubbed his neck. Blood was dripping. "damn, any movement could open the wound and then I'm..." Lawrence held back from cursing. He looked to Alex. "Get in there! I'll support you from a distance," he shouted. He rose his keyblade in the air and began preparing for magic.

The creature had leopold by the throat now. It turned around only to smoothly dodge the magic and still electrocute leopold. "You're going to need more than a few fireballs to beat me kid," it said. It generated a new hand out of darkness.
"I missed you left hand. We were so good together," it said. Leopold pulled on Eric's shirt still. It was to no effect. The creature brought out its sword and pointed it at Alex. "You're next munchkin!" I said. He was to busy taunting to see that his own arm was bringing the sword to its stomach. "This bearded fool will..." It plunged the blade into its stomach. Eric had control of one arm now. The darkness faded from it. He grabbed the other arm and tried to wrench it from his father's throat.

Lawrence had cast cura on the party. I'm out of magic. That's all I can do for a while. Strike him now while Eric still has partial control!" he shouted.

The creature dropped leopold as its arm froze. He desperately swung it around in an effort to free it. He channeled some of his dark power into that arm to break the ice from the inside. The darkness flowed off one side of Eric's face. He was crying. "It was wonderful knowing all of you. Goodbye," Eric said raising his keyblade to his head. A light began building at the tip.

Lawrence looked at Eric with sadness in his eyes. "Don't let him do it!" he shouted. The blood from his throat had stopped flowing.
