Crafting/construction: Petra has an immense imagination. She can visualize something in her mind, break it down into smaller parts, and drawn them into a design on paper. This skill has come in handy several times in her father's crafting business. When something does not work, she can find a way to fix it.
Sketching/drawing: Because of Petra's great imagination and love for crafting, she has gotten in much practice in sketching. She has been sketching since she was very young. It was a skill she developed alongside of learning crafting from her father.
Sewing/designing clothing: Seeing as she is a woman, Petra was taught a few basic skills all women should know. Among one of them is sewing. It was a skill that Petra was reluctant to learn, but it was one that her mother pushed her to learn. Ever since, it has come in handy. Because Petra loves to design things, it is not too far off in that she likes to design clothing. Petra does not immensely love to sew, but she is good at it.
Baking/cooking: Another skill Petra was taught by her mother was food preparation. Petra has known how to prepare food, and quite well, for most of her life. She began when she was very young and is quite good at it.

YOURMOMTOLDMETOSAYHIPetra Vandergast was the daughter of the local blacksmith, Karia Vandergast. Each day as Petra grew up, she watched her mother hammer metal into the various, beautiful shapes of swords. One day, a curiosity kindled in young Petra's heart: what would it be like to actually hold a sword? For some time, she was reluctant to ask her mother. When it was too much to hold in, Petra blurted out her question to her mother. Karia was surprised and pleased to see that her daughter had an interest in something. Only an hour after Petra asked her mother, Karia went out to their retired soldier neighbor and asked for lessons for Petra. They made a good deal between them, sword maintenance in exchange for teaching Petra. Petra's education in swordplay then began.
As a child, Petra was very different from other girls. Other girls enjoyed playing with their dolls and helping their mothers take care of the household. Whereas Petra enjoyed more masculine endeavors, such as helping her mother make swords, learn swordplay, and roughhouse with the local boys. Petra showed no tolerance towards boys who taunted and teased her girl friends. Mercilessly, she shoved them and gave them their what for. This resulted the young Petra to get into much trouble with her parents and other children's parents. However, Petra did not care about the consequences. If someone was in need, she would help them no matter what. Because of this, she can be seen as stubborn. This protective instinct only manifested itself more strongly when her five brothers (Paytor, Remus, Lumen, Quentin, and Frey) were born years later.
Now she has grown much older and has revealed true interest and mastery over the sword. While the other local girls have married (some having children already), Petra has not shown the slightest interest in marriage or reproduction. For her, her life has only begun. She does not want to settle down but instead see the world beyond her home. Her father has grown frustrated with his daughter, but her mother encouraged Petra to follow her want for adventure. Petra also figures that her family has plenty of sons (currently, in order as before, the ages of eighteen, seventeen, fifteen, twelve, and nine) to pass on the family name; why should she marry? Consequently, her best friend and her brother Paytor fully supports his sister.

She was born in the dark side of Emis. Her parents were two specially gifted individuals who protected her with their lives. Her family was poor and could hardly support themselves. Her dream was, with honed abilities, to become apart of the United Force. The dream seeming so far away, she trained with the young man who would someday become the future Daimis Commander. They knew each other through their parents, who regularly helped each other out in tough spots. Their children eventually grew close, becoming friends and eventually sweethearts. She never imagined that she would ever be this close to anybody ever. They were so in love, but chance tore them apart. They were separated and she forgot what his face even looked like.

In the midst of an important mission, Selyna was forced to resign because she had become pregnant with her first and only child Zuleika. Aron Amian was laid off to accommodate the new flood of cheaper-paying immigrants that bombarded Emis. So, Aron and Selyna were forced to move to the rundown side of Emis. As their child grew, they kept her well-guarded and well-fed, often starving themselves of their rations to allow her to survive.
In a particularly hard time, the couple were having a hard time finding food. Fortune came to their aid and they encountered another couple with powers, much like them. These two families helped each other to survive and gradually became good friends with each other. Their children played together and grew up, eventually becoming childhood sweethearts. These two trained together as well as stole away secret moments. Their childhood was stolen away when cannibalistic humans devoured her boy friend's parents. Aron and Selyna died in a combustion of their own power, charred by it instead of being eaten alive.
With nowhere else to go, Zuleika Amian turned to the United Force. She attended and trained in their academy, where she grew to be the highest ranked student. Ensuing her graduation, Zuleika went on to apply and to be accepted immediately as a United Force Official. Her prowess in battle against enemies and her hardworking personality proved her to be a superb Official. When the previous Commander was killed in battle against the Daimis, Zuleika was promoted unanimously as the Commander of the United Force. This was two years ago.
Seeing as she is growing older, Zuleika has been interested in having a child. She secretly went to the nearest hospital and attempted to get fertilized. Unfortunately, it was to of no avail. Zuleika's body was rendered infertile by the doctor there. Thus, she donated her eggs to the hospital in the hopes that she would foster a child in her likeness. Alas, the Daimis destroyed the hospital and stole her eggs. Her hopes were immediately dashed.
Since then, Zuleika has put her heart and soul into her job. Nothing has been the same since that moment.⋯ personalityxxxFor all her life, Zuleika has worked hard to get what she has wanted. She has never known luxury or comfort, merely a hard life. Ever since her first friend disappeared when she was younger, Zuleika has been rather withdrawn from other people. It has only been recently that she has begun to open up to others. Even still, she keeps her heart carefully protected. She knows very well that there are people out there willing to get to her through her affections in order to destroy her or, worse, the United Force.
Her true pleasure comes from working. She puts her entire soul into her work. She would be lost without it. As Commander of the United Force, she exerts the characteristics expected: confidence, valiance, selflessness, and even the desire to sacrifice herself to save the lives of others. She is very quiet and carefully observes things. Though she says very little, what Zuleika says weighs much. Since its creation, it has been endued with the latest technologies. It houses a population of over one million citizens (determined by the last census in 3999) and draws in more people by the number. As can be imagined, it is a very congested city. It is surrounded by a tall fence with a magnetic field stopping all hover cars and gliders from going over the top.
In the center of Emis, the United Force Headquarters stands erect and proud, ready to take on any opposing forces. It is a length of two hundred stories/floors and is the home of over one thousand United Force Officials, including the Commander. The two hundredth floor is the Commander's private office and sleeping quarters.
On the other side of the city lies the slums of Emis. It is the abandoned part of the city, filled with rundown and archaic buildings dating back from the twenty-first and twenty-second centuries. Its population consists of over two thousand homeless citizens and impoverished immigrants.
The slums of Emis is infamous for being the home of the Daimis Headquarters, which is fixated in one of the best conditioned buildings in the district. Many of the immigrants and homeless who have nowhere else to go and are desperate for a living turn to the Daimis. Slowly, the Daimis's numbers build underneath the United Force's nose.
The city of Emis is completely surrounded by the forest. In 3050, the City Council placed an environmental ban preventing any people from stepping foot into the forest. This is due to the appalling discovery of the dwindling habitat of many of the native species, which the city depended on for food. Nowadays, much of the city's food is imported from other places. Very little is hunted or scavenged for in the forest. Simulations (a.k.a. "sims") are virtual reality simulations designed originally for playing online games. As of now, simulations have expanded to generate different settings in order to train. Used specifically by the United Force to train their academy students and officials.
Gliders are transportation vehicles that are small and made of a lightweight steel. They contain magnetic sensors and track opposing poles from metals in the ground in order to stay afloat. Used expressly by adolescents and young adults, they are equivalent to today's skateboards and motorcycles. The Daimis can be found getting around via glider. Found more often among the poorer classes of Emis.
Hover cars are cars that are used expressly the exact same system found in gliders, only in a larger format. These are expensive and can be found mainly among the rich and well-to-do.
Security systems in the United Force headquarters are compromised of a dual card slider as well as eye scanners. These are very sensitive and will alert at the most unrecognizable identity.
Tiny earbuds are used by the Daimis to communicate amongst themselves. They are activated by tapping the area right under the ear. These are not visible to the naked eye and cling to the skin via microbial sticky legs.
Comm(unication) watches are the main form of communication, having replaced mini cellphones in the last thousand years. They flip up to show the person's face and even contain a tiny hologram emitter to view the full body of the communicee in small form. They can be used to access the InterWeb (the form of the Internet) as well as accessing various contacts. Most known for its use by the United Force.
Artificial Intelligent Systems (A.I.S.'s, or robots) are humanoid machines created and guided by human beings. They are used as replacements for the jobs man usually does to save money, driving out people from the workforce. Many have yet to think for themselves, but they have the ability to control themselves without a remote control. Often used in real life training situations and as security guards for their built-in memory capacity. New technology has enabled them to appear like people and sense things like them as well. More commonly, old technology keeps them to their original appearance.
Protective suits (also referred to as "armor") are catsuits made of a lightweight titanium alloy. It is bendable to shape, resists extremely hot temperatures, and is resistant to extreme stress and corrosion. They come only in silver, and they are expressly used by the United Force in battle.
General weapons include laser guns, miniature grenade launchers, tiny drones, stun guns, and other miscellaneous arms. If you think up anymore, suggest it to me and I'll put it here.

Biography:
Hecate Roth is the daughter of Raven and Beast Boy of the Teen Titans. She inherited many of her traits, likes, and powers from her mother. With this, she is a quarter-demon. Like Raven, this makes her potentially dangerous. Raven has taken great care to keep her daughter's emotions under wraps, though this has proven quite difficult with a father like Beast Boy. She may be almost completely her mother's daughter, but there are some things Hecate inherited from her father. She developed a love for corny jokes from her father, who wanted to give her some semblance of emotion (much to her mother's amusement and partial dismay). Throughout her childhood, she was bullied because of her dark purple hair and pale skin. Hecate became shy and withdrawn, though was still the same person she was on the inside. Afraid to reveal her emotions, Hecate often keeps them hidden from others. She does not open up easily, for it is hard for her to trust people. |
