F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked up at her listening to his words before sighing and closing his eyes again. In sync with the cosmos? That sounded wonderful to him and as he thought about it and the more he did, the better it did. He rubbed his eyes and then closed them gently just trying to relax as he thought about it. "I wish I could remember it. Every time I try, I get hurt or just black out. I don't know how I've done that before, I only know I have from people telling me so," he said gently with a small shrug. He wasn't sure of anything else besides that. Like he'd said, he had no memory of what it felt like to create anything or really much how to do so as he only panicked when he did. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa eyed Ace thoughtfully, thinking through her next words carefully. What she was about to offer to the male beside her was something of great significance in her world. While technically she had not reached her full status as Taistelu she had been ready to take on that mantle for some time now - only her respect for her mentor had kept her at his side for the additional time. She knew she would pass the trials to give her the full status she had worked so hard for. And once that was true she could take on an apprentice of her own. In her mind she was already a full member of her class and as such….”Ace. If your blood line is strong enough, and from what you’ve told me it is, you could be instructed in the ways of magic. I could instruct you.”
Here she held her breath. What she was offering to her multiple times over savoir was strictly forbidden in the higher world and she would be punished severely if it ever came to light. But it was worth the risk in her eyes.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace closed his eyes and started relaxing before hearing his name. He looked up at her quietly and slightly confused he listened to her offer. Sure, it could really help, but he wasn't sure if that was something he would really need. "I don't think it'll be that easy. Its hard for me to withstand the stress of it. I told you, I black out every single time," he said quietly laying on his side as he closed his eyes. "I would be thankful for it though," he admitted quietly closing his eyes again. Then again it would save him a lot of problems over all. It would fix a million and one problems for him later. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace dropped the subject about himself in his mind again upon her mentioning their time together. It was great that he could learn to do something that he did on instinct and be able to control it, but still, he already hated the idea of her leaving more and more. He sighed and closed his eyes ignoring the late morning sounds that were going on inside the mage's camp. "I'll give you what ever time you want from your old life to this one. Any time you want to be back or don't, let me know," he said softly looking up at her with sad eyes but he just shook his head trying to get all of those thoughts out of mind. He didn't want to think that at all. He just wanted her to be happy with what ever happened and keep everyone he cared about safe. That was on the top of his priorities list. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa froze in the act of slipping into a more comfortable position on her back while Ace’s words hit her like a hurricane. As was often the case while she was pondering a particularly difficult issue she began to worry her lower lip between her teeth. Was that possible? She had assumed that when she went back to the higher world her life would resume its set course while Ace’s did the same. She hadn’t even taken the time to think of other solutions though Ace had just presented her one as unlikely as it seemed. Yes…with her particular calling she would be required to go to the lower world more often than any other class. And not just for retrievals - reconnaissance as well. But now it was for her to determine if he was as serious as herself, ”Ace - I would like very much to come back and spend time with you.” She was tempted to use his tutoring as the only reason though that wouldn’t be fair to either of them. ”And Alex as well.”

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace kicked back the blankets sighing sitting up resting his forehead on his palm. He rubbed his forehead and coughed as he hunched over. When he was done he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Aesa, I'm leaving after you do. I can't stay here, its not safe for Alex. She's staying with Marri, we already talked it through. I'm going out after those guys who took my spot. Wether I come back alive or not is unknown. Either way, I can't stay here," he said with both physical and mental pain in his voice as the afternoon sun casted down on him. He'd decided this before he decided to rob the school, but now that he had and he had to take care of Aesa, he'd been distracted long enough to let who ever was after him catch up. He froze stiff and got up looking out the window. "Speak of the god damn devil," he said through clenched teeth as he leaned against the window on his hands. They'd found him. The same people who he'd been dealing with the previous night, and probably find out who she was and be on them twice as fast. Which, he would have guessed that as the royal guards were with them.
"Pack now, we are leaving," he said in a snarl not about to debate this as he started throwing clothes on, then boots, and then twenty pounds of weapons and other things. His breathing had already picked up as his body hadn't had a chance to recover yet from the last time he ran. Ace was well aware that he was in trouble, but Marri and Alex would be fine, Aesa was the only one on his mind right then. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked over at her and sighed pulling his hood up looking outside. He ran out of the room and looked down the stairs giving a sharp whistle. Alex apeared and he made a motion with his head pointing to the door. She gasped and ran to get Marri so they could both flee. "They'll be fine, both know what to do. I've got to get the hell out of here," he said in a hushed tone pushing open the window. He yanked back from it though just as an arrow flew past him barely dodging it. He snarled and pulled a few knives out and whipped them out into the archer across next door. He climbed out on the roof looking around and seeing troops on the ground. "Shoot."
"Come on, we've got to get moving. Hope you are feeling up to using some of your magic. They'll be bringing the mages and the soldiers. Don't be surprised by anything they bring," he said quietly looking around breathing deeply trying to keep it slow and quiet. He walked slowly around the house from the shadows poking his head out into the sunlight a little bit and a blast of arrows flew at him making him dive back again. He shuttered sitting down looking over at her. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace stood up after she'd grabbed him on his arm pulling him to his feet. He looked outside hearing shouting and then the pounding on the shield but no damage to the house. He yelped a little but when she held him still when he was about to run out onto the roofs and looked at her confused but a little bit of fear was there. He flinched a little bit feeling the air difference looking up at her own blue eyes. He shuttered and blinked a few times looking over at him. "Well, never had luck before," he whispered quietly with a shrug before taking her hand now.
He pulled her to the window and ran out onto the roof running across it quickly feeling so tired but he was glad for this. He knew he had to get out of there before something happened that luck couldn't keep him safe from. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

((So SORRY about my response time. I've been really ill - waiting on tests back but I fear pnemonia >_<)) Aesa followed his lead, trusting Ace to know the best route to relative safety. As the scurried across the shingled roof a hail of arrows came hurtling towards them though her spell served them well and sent the projectiles off course to thud harmlessly into the building itself or the ground. Aesa was conserving her energy for the magic users that were likely to appear as that was where her strengths would be needed. Tired as he was she had faith that Ace could resolve the more mundane threats with his acrobatics and smooth fighting skill. Another volley of arrows let loose on their fleeing forms had Aesa wincing when one went straight through Ace’s cloak as it billowed behind him. Ah there was that prayed for luck.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Without much though, Ace ran with Aesa, hard. He barely payed mind to his thundering heart nor his ragged breathing trying not to yelp when the arrows whizzed past dangerously close or when it passed through his coat. He just kept running and running. When he'd reached the edge of the woods, he stopped scooping Aesa into his arms without a word. He held her close to him as he took off into the air like a falcon might as the young creature spread his wings.
His fleeing flight didn't last long as he dropped through branches and into the ground wincing when he landed stumbling. He put her down and kept running through stumbling a few more strides just trying to loosen his legs back up. Suddenly though, he stopped looked around and then slipped down onto the brush pulling Aesa down with him. His cloak turned black as he pulled the hood over his pale face while hiding in the thorns. He could feel it grabbing at his coat, but not puncturing the thick leather. He slowed his breathing hearing the rushing footsteps of soldiers coming after them both now. Ace held his breath when they got close to the thorn patch but didn't try to go through it. "No one" would go through that. Yeah right. When you were the prey, Ace learned you could make yourself do just about anything. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace's exhausted body trembled slightly from adrenaline and using more then he had in his system. He barely ate anything for dinner and he had no breakfast. He was running on empty right now. And he wasn't very good at it. Seeing her pick her head up, even if only the slightest, he wrapped himself around her keeping her down below him. He saw the mage and snarled feeling the thorns grab at his face cutting it open. He looked over at her and laid down on his belly crawling among the thorns like a small animal might. He didn't make a sound as he moved close to the ground feeling the dirt's cold surface through his coat soothing him a little bit. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark
