Destral looked a bit confused, after all, someone had to break it to her. Even if it was bad, telling her straight was better than trying to stretch it a little. Someone was going to have to be the bad guy.
Oh great, and I have to stay here tonight as well...how am I supposed to protect those who don't trust me?
"Don't worry, I don't need any more weapons. I'll need someone to help me in choosing provisions...I haven't exactly learned whats edible yet..."
He mumbled that last part, but still wanted to help out in some way.

"Hm. Brooke, can you help Destral with food? Jesse, can you gather weapons, then?"
"Auntie Tee, let's go!" Penelope jumped up and down with a distressed look on her face, eyes shifting left and right for any signs of the scary mask again.
"All right all right... I'll see you guys soon, kay?" Teagan said to Destral, Jesse, and Brooke before heading out the door with a now sleeping Layla and a relieved Penelope.

After minutes of talking, Brooke dazedly snapped back into reality and realized what was going on. "Yeah, I'm just a bit tired." She replied to Link. Listening to what has been planned, Brooke looked over at Destral as Teagan left. "So, need help on food, huh? I'll help you." Brooke said smiling.

Jesse looked up. "Weapons? Uh, suuuuuuuure..." She said slowly. "Uh... Arrows..." She scratched her head while grinning like she had before the incident. But then she saw that Teagan and Link had gone.

Oh boy! She found herself smiling. What luck! I can explore this place a little more. I wonder if they have a store that sells arrows... I have a bunch of rupees... Her mind began to wander as she walked out the door.

Henry and Jacob were sitting at the table, concerned for their brother. The twins turned to the door at the same time when they heard the soft squeak. A pair of tiny feet scuttled across the floor into the kitchen and Penelope hopped into Henry's lap without a word.
Teagan gently shut the door behind her so as not to wake the baby up, and joined her family in the kitchen. "Hi, Henry, Jacob. Sorry to enter at random, Reana really needs you to-"
"Link told me, I told Henry." Jacob said solemnly. "Do you know who kidnapped him?"
Kidnapped? Oh... "We're not sure. We don't even know how it happened. All we know is that our best bet is to go to Hyrule to search for clues. Is Link preparing horses for the journey? How is my Savine?"
"She's much better, and as we speak he's getting them ready." Jacob replied.
"Good. I'd love to stay and talk more, but we're rather busy with preparations." Teagan said, then looked at Layla. She kissed her forehead and carefully passed her to Jacob. "Reana really needs to be work-free for the rest of the day. Watching these two is really helping her. Nikko's currently taking care of her. You'll be alright with them?"
Henry looked to the wall, referencing the crossbow hanging proudly from it. "We'll be okay."
"Alright. Thank you. I'll see you guys later." Teagan nodded, heading out the door and going to her house. There were a few apple trees and carrot patches in her backyard. It'd be good to have them for the trip.
She entered her house, letting the door swing shut behind her. Her satchel hung from a coathook by it, and she grabbed it, climbing up a ladder to a cozy little nook with a circular window. This is where her bed was, and next to it lay a small sketchbook and a few bottles of ink, along with her trusty pen. Teagan gathered all these things and placed them gently into the bag. The bottles would come in handy later when they were empty.
She slid down the ladder and went to a tall dresser, opening the third-to-last drawer and gingerly picking up her ocarina. Teagan had been on the hunt for one for ages, and a small travelling salesman happened to carry the sacred instrument. It cost her a hefty amount of rupees, but she found it worth it. The ocarina was added to the satchel before it was slung across her shoulder.
A bucket sat by the back entrance, which Teagan grabbed and headed to the back, beginning her work of pulling up carrots and picking apples.

Destral nodded and smiled at Brooke thankfully,
"Thanks, now, can you show me what exactly is edible?"
He averted his gaze as he asked, embarrassed by looking so clueless.

Slowly, the hood on the cloaked figure moved to insinuate the wearer, who was looking up. There was a sign that said 'Ordon' above him. The figure smiled slightly. He knew this place well. Perfect for getting what he wanted quickly.

This will be far to easy. So many bright minds to enlighten, so much power I can gain. This quest will be quite enjoyable.

"Oof!"
Teagan tumbled to the ground, holding her prize in hand, the last carrot, which she'd been battling to pull out of the Earth for a few minutes now. "I have you now..." She said to the thing and smiled, tossing it into the bucket of fruits and vegetables. She picked it up and began hauling it over to the stables, where her and Link could pack the bags and attach them to the saddles.
As she passed, Teagan saw the figure examining the sign. Another newcomer? She thought, staring at the figure quizzically. Hmph.

"I will consume."

Majora sprinted through the village, past the gate (nearly bowling over some shadily dressed man on his way), past Link's dwelling, past Ordon Spring, and over the bridge connecting the Ordon province to the Faron province. He had places to go, schemes to make, hapless minions to recruit. Or reanimate as the case may be. Surely if he had enough man-power he could overwhelm those little brats...But he would have to separate them. Divide and conquer, damn it!

He had to get new clothing. That was the current priority. Black robes, armor, something. Couldn't be a recurring antagonist in these garbage clothes Robert was so content to wear. Honestly, these things itched like...Like it was itchy! There are only so many ways to describe how itchy something is! Lay off!

He sprinted farther, turning abruptly and appearing in the clearing where Corro made his dwelling. He leaped over to Corro, landing right in front of him.

"Oh, hey Robert. Didn't know you could jump like that. Nice ma-"
"Silence, mortal! I require garments! Robes, preferably of the black colored variety!"
"Robert, I don't sell clothes. I sell lanterns and oil. You want one-"

Tendrils suddenly burst forth from the mask, grabbing Corro. Majora slammed the man into the wall of his house and continued.

"Robes! Black! Where?"

Corro pointed weakly to the door to his dwelling. Majora quickly released him and entered, ignoring the sound of Corro's noisy running as he fled to Ordon to get help.

Moments later, Majora had re-emerged in a jet black cloak. He pulled the hood over his head, feeling particularly awesome.
Yes, these will do fine. Very soft. Is this Hylian cotton? I could get used to this...Hm. I know, I'll leave a trail of destruction to lure those brats away from me while I build up my forces elsewhere.

Majora hefted up Corro's pot of oil and heaved it at his house, watching in admiration as it burst into flames. By the time anyone found it, it would be a burnt husk. Majora pulled his hood down a little more before continuing his deft sprint. He'd go a long ways through Hyrule field and leave some indicators before doubling back to the woods to raise an army. His conquest would begin here.

"...Consume, everything..."

"Well, follow me." Brooke told Destral, smiling sweetly. She led him to the kitchen. I hope they don't mind if I look around in here a bit... She thought to herself after entering. There were a couple of apples, bananas, carrots, onions, and watermelons on the counter. She picked each one up, explaining in detail what they were, and how they tasted. "This fruit is one of my personal favorites." She said, picking up an apple.

Destral nodded as he followed Brooke, keeping track of what she looked at. Were all these odd-looking things edible?? Surely not, there were so many!!
"Say, can you, like, mix these things up to make other things?? I heard something about that somewhere..."
He noticed the room where the woman he was told was Robert's wife had gone into. He felt a slight twinge of regret, he made her really sad. Maybe he could have kept out a few things.... Ignorance is bliss, as they say. Whoever 'they' were.

Suddenly, the figure tapped Teagan on the shoulder, sounding quite bright and wise, turning slowly as he spoke. His fingers looked like he was dealing with arthritis, or simply didn't have the strength to unfurl them properly. The figure's grin widened as he recognized who Teagan was.

"My dear lady, you seem like quite the smart young one if you were preparing for winter. But if I'm not correct, they will spoil long before this area gets cold enough that vegetation will be unable to grow. But someone like you, an artist and a brilliant swordsmen and archer, would know that. That suggests you are planning a very long trip for your boss, or you are about to go on a quest of some sort."

The figure smiled as he recalled a bit of Teagan's past correctly, it would draw her in and make her wonder. Soon, he would teach her the rudiments of what he knew.

Teagan blinked a few times, clutching the basket's handle tightly in her hands in front of her. "I... Uh. You... Uh. I'm sorry, let me start over. Sir, I do not believe we have met." She stated, picking her words carefully and trying to be formal. "You know about me, but who are you?"
PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:37 pm

The figure just grinned again, as if happy to be the one who seemed to know all the answers. He crossed his arms, preparing for a flurry of questions.

"Who I am is of no concern to you, Teagan. I am simply someone who knows a great deal about many things. I can tell you I likely know much more about things like Tarin than you, or even your brothers do. Its a shame you were too young to be able to remember him. But if you must, I am just a man who is curious of what a fine young lady is doing stocking up on enough food for a large feast for the whole town while there are no reasons to celebrate today."

He thought he was saying a bit too much, but he had to prove to her he had all the answers. The figure started walking towards the village slowly, so he could get inside without the girl stopping him as she would likely follow.

Teagan raised an eyebrow, pursing her lips a little and stopping him from entering. "Hm, I'll tell you about the food once you kindly explain to me how you know of my brother. He's been dead for fourteen years, how could any outsider possibly know of Tarin?" She was not angry, more curious than anything else. If he was lying, though, she'd be a little irritated.

The figure coughed, then uncrossed his arms as he spoke to Teagan, his voice slightly more serious.

"I just told you, someone who knows a great deal about many things. I am an outsider, but I have been watching you. And your brothers. And your parents, their parents, I even witnessed the first time that mask, which you should know is named Majora, had taken over a body and wreaked havoc. Come with me, Teagan. I am the Watcher, the one who keeps track when the Goddesses cannot. I know that by know, by the way you are pursing your lips, you are curious of who I am. No, I am not lying. You can call me crazy, but then you won't believe what I can tell you about that mark on your 'injured' hand. "

The figure knew about the symbol, but it was new to him, so he didn't have that much more of an idea than she did.
