Askari stood up in front of the caretaker, "Please, Impa, you've had enough to worry about for one day." She said, trying to get her to leave the room. "You said that you wouldn't be responsible if his wound opened again, so I'll take care of it!" She said, flailing her arms a bit.
Impa looked at Askari and was determining whether she'd slip past her and scold Denji properly, possibly scold them both.

"She's right, Impa. You should probably go see what the Princess is up to instead of worrying about me. I'll be fine, I'm suppose to stay inside, remember?" He smiled warmly.
Impa looked past Askari and at Denji. "Denji, what are you up to?" She asked again, walking past Askari and gripped the sheets.
"Impa, it's nothing." He took his hand and covered it with the other, as if it pained him.

Askari slipped between Impa's arms, and was almost begging. "Please, Impa." Her smiled didn't falter, "You deserve to do much more than watch out for a couple of kids, you have a life to live!" She said, hoping her small lecture would get through.

"Fine, fine. But, Denji, I expect you'll tell what's wrong later, alright?" She didn't wait for a response and left.
"Thanks, Askari." He let go of his hand and looked at the symbol on it.

Askari let out a sigh of relief when Impa finally left the room and turned to face Denji. "What'd you do?" She asked, looking at his hand.

"I d-didn't do anything! I woke up and it was there!" He muttered, tracing the triangles on his hand. "It scares me, actually. I think I've seen it before..."

Askari looked at his hand, "I think I've seen it before too..." She murmured as she reached into her pants pocket and pulled out two small earring that had three triangles, one on top of two of them, forming a large triangle on each earring. "It's a shame I can't wear them.." She said as she held the earrings to Denji's hand.

"Why is that?" He asked. Then he shook his head. "What am I going to tell Impa?" He wondered out loud.

Askari shrugged, "I can't wear these things," She said as she slightly shook the earrings, "Because I don't have my ears pierced." She said. "I don't know what you're going to tell Impa, either way she'll find out sooner or later. Gotta admit, she's really sharp in her senses." She sighed.

"It must be a Sheikan thing." He muttered. "She's impossible to lie to, so I can't hold out for long. What the heck does it mean anyway? Why is it on my hand?"

Askari nodded in understanding, "I see.." She said, she was going to attempt to change the subject; she didn't want to worry Denji. "Do you think Impa could try to pierce my ears?" She asked, pulling them to the sides of her head, one earring in each hand. "Speaking of ears, why don't you have a blue ring in your ear?" She asked, pointing to his left ear. "It's only tradition for Sheikah boys coming-of-age. I'm surprised that you don't have one, Impa being a Sheikah and all." She said.

Denji chuckled. "Believe me, she tried. I'm scared of needles though. Maybe we should get our ears pierced together?" He suggested. "She'll happily stick a needle in anyone's ear."

Askari shivered, her ears twitched a bit, "That doesn't make me feel any better about poking a holes in my ears." She giggled, "Might as well get it done together." She smiled.
