When Tigerfang missed the frog, Eaglesoar looked at her sympathetically, as he knew very well how it felt like.]
"Too bad. At least there's one scrawny cat here who'll catch enough. Stealth and agility mean nothing when you're attacked by a cat twice your size anyway."
[Eaglesoar meowed quietly and reassuringly as he glanced towards Watercloud, before turning around to look for other prey. At that moment, he saw a dark gray shape and a smaller white shape move along the Stormclan border, and he found himself bristling with hostility. He bared his teeth in a ferocious but silent snarl, unsheathing his claws as he thought about what he would do should the Stormclan cats cross the border.
I'll shred your body so much that even your clanmates won't recognise you...
[He forced himself to turn around and seek other prey, but the scent of Stormclan was so strong that it drowned out the scents of all other prey.]
[At that moment, a fat thrush took off into the air a fox-length away from Eaglesoar. Thinking quickly, he leapt towards a tree right next to him, and using the tree as a leverage to leap higher, he spun around while still on the tree trunk, and leapt towards the airborne thrush. His claws pierced the soft body before he dropped back to the ground, killing the thrush with a quick bite to the throat. He turned towards Watercloud with a smug look on his face, knowing that he had just made an impressive catch.]

Turning away from the Stormclan cats, Tigerfang growled under her breath, "Filthy Stormclan cats. You had better show that apprentice that we are the clan to be most feared of all."
She pricked her ears as she heard Eaglesoar leaping onto a tree and then killing a bird with adept paws. She narrowed her eyes to hide her slight awe at the new warrior. Not too long ago, he was just an apprentice. She shook her head to shake the thoughts away, and tensed up when the scent of squirrel drifted towards her. She saw it, and was about to assume the hunter's crouch, but realized that from the angle she was at, she would never have caught it. Instead, Tigerfang leapt gracefully and silently onto a low tree branch. The squirrel was totally oblivious, digging a spot to bury a nut. She jumped from her high position of the tree and crushed the squirrel with her huge paws. Biting it's neck, she gave a look to Eaglesoar that said, "That's how you do it,"

[Watercloud looked at Tigerfang with unemotional eyes.]
"Save your breath please. I don't need your somewhat forced comments." he grumbled as he walked away.
[Watercloud's patience was draining away, being with what seemed like the two most arrogant cats of Nightclan.
They were so aggressive that it looked like they might claw the ears of Thunderpaw and her apprentice just for looking across the border.
Sighing, he laid down in the boggy land and looked around lazily.
Narrowing his eyes, a mouse darted in front of his paws.
Eyes widening he struck it's neck with surprising force and killed it instantaneously.
His anger had been put behind that blow and now he felt a bit better.
Smiling, he dangled the mouse in his claws and tossed it in a little hole he'd dug for it.
He looked at the delicately preserved body and frowned openly at Tigerfang.]
"Poor thing. How'll anyone eat that? You've crushed it to a bloody pulp." he mewed disapprovingly.
(( Watercloud is in a serious down mood. :c
Oh and smokestar, can Tigerfang like Watercloud because he dislikes her?
Because Watercloud is seriously not-liking you right now.
I dunno how to flirt with you..
I mean Tigerfang is attracted to Eaglesoar for his power and their similarities, but how is Tigerfang attracted to Watercloud?

[I sighed, flicking my ears.]
"No need to try and intimidate me," I said to Eaglesoar and Tigerfang. "I'm not going to cross the border, just trying to give my apprentice a lesson."
[I glared at them, shaking my head. NightClan cats get so angry over nothing! A leaf could fall in front of them, and they'd shred it under the grounds that it was attacking them...so unnecessarily violent...
of course, that's completely biased. I know very well that NightClan cats aren't entirely like that...
Shut up! Keep talking to yourself like this and you'll go mad!
I blinked, shaking my head at the thought.
At least Waterpaw is a decent warrior... I thought, eyes trailing to him.
Aw foxdung, what do I care if the other two are uppity?]
I called out to Waterpaw, "So Waterpaw, how have you been doing since the last gathering?"
[Softpaw glanced up at me, and I stroked her with my tail gently, a stubborn look crossing my face. I could make a friend in NightClan if I wanted to!]

((Give her time...she's a little anti-social and doesn't know how to act properly...she'll be attracted by Watercloud not fearing her like normal cats usually do. Ahh, decisions, decisions.... xD))
[Tigerfang didn't mean for her apology to come out forced. It was true, what she said, though. As much as she hated to admit it, she was a little jealous of Watercloud's hunting skills. She shifted her paws nervously, but looked at Watercloud. She didn't know he could be so...what was the word? Fierce? That wasn't it, but she couldn't find a better word to describe it.]
[Tigerfang looked down at her catch, and saw that it was indeed mutilated. It could still be eaten, but it just didn't look as pretty that's all.]
"Yeah, but I told you before. I'm not as good at hunting as you are. Besides," she held up one of her abnormally large paws and smiled a crooked smile. "I don't know who in my family gave me these monsters, but they're not good for much."
[She padded close to him and brushed her tail along his muzzle.]
Without looking at him, Tigerfang stammered out, "I-I didn't mean for my comment to be forced..." only to realize that this had sounded forced as well. Mousedung.
[She flicked her ears when she heard Thunderflight's meow.]
She turned to her and said icily, "It's not Waterpaw anymore. It's Watercloud."

"Oh really?" I asked excitedly, "That's wonderful! My name was changed too-it's Thunderflight."
[I blinked at the cat ((Tigerfang)), becoming slightly curious.]
"Maybe you should practice being more nice, at least to your clanmates. Then you won't have to force anything," I advised.
[I flicked my ears, slightly embarrassed. I was in no place to say something like that.]
"Ah...sorry. That was uncalled for, " I apologized. I squinted at her, my curiosity overcoming my caution. "Hey...I haven't seen you around before. What's your name? Your paws are pretty impressive-they'd certainly good for fighting."
[I looked at her giant paws, and I was indeed impressed. This warrior interested me very much. She reminded me of someone...from far away...
Mother?
Yes. She reminded me of my mother. As I stared at her, a wave of sadness hit me as I remembered the night my mother was killed. I never got the chance to know her...but I did know she was extremely hostile towards strangers.
Somehow, this made me feel more comfortable with the NightClan cat.]
(( owo Thunderflight sure likes Tigerfang. |D She does remind me of Thunderflight's mother though. : o ))

I don't know, but it's gotta be quite impressive if Watercloud catches more prey than Eaglesoar and Tigerfang put together.
Ok, we are seriously lacking she-cats in Nightclan >.< Oh wait, there's still Nightpaw, completely forgot.))
"Nice one, it never saw you coming."
[Eaglesoar meowed as he blinked in admiration for Tigerfang's improvised hunting tactics. When Watercloud gave his disapproving comment, Eaglesoar bared his teeth in a frightful snarl, whilrling around to face Watercloud as he towered over the smaller warrior.]
"Nightclan cats never spend time complaining about the taste or state of their prey, half clan vermin."
[He did not know why he was suddenly so protective of Tigerfang's catch, or why he was angry enough to turn against someone of his own clan.]
That's because it's a comment coming from someone who taints the pure blood of Nightclan!
[Eaglesoar told himself firmly, trying to convince himself that it was the reason why he suddenly felt protective. He stole a glance towards the building pile of Watercloud's catch, and as much as he hated to admit it, it far outnumbered his single catch of a thrush. When the warrior from Stormclan spoke up, Eaglesoar narrowed his eyes and padded to the edge of the border, baring his teeth in the beginnings of a snarl - as a warning.]
"And maybe you should practice shutting your mouth, or do I have to do that for you? I always knew that Stormclan doesn't take clan borders seriously."
[The massive ginger tom said as he flattened his ears but kept his claws sheathed, a warning to the Stormclan cats to keep their smart comments to themselves.]

"Big words, coming from a cat who's closer to the border than I am," I retorted, eyes narrowing. "Step over the border, and my claws will show you just how serious StormClan cats really are about it."
[I glared at him, my fur rising.]
"Besides, a warrior who fights with his own clanmate has no grounds with me. I was talking to your senior warrior-not you- and I'm sure she can speak for herself."

[Tigerfang laid her tail on Eaglesoar's shoulder to calm him down. As much as she relished the thought of a fight, Fathom would be furious.]
[She narrowed her eyes at Thunderflight. At least she apologized! Whatever, she could care less for what Thunderflight said about her. When she asked for her name, she flinched slightly, but regained her composure.]
"Tigerfang. And thanks."
[She sat down and slid her tail over her paws in embarrassment. She didn't know who in her ancestry had given her them, but she didn't like them She-cats weren't supposed to have big paws.]
[There was a slightly nostalgic look about Thunderflight's eyes when she looked at Tigerfang. She licked one of her paws awkwardly, wondering why she was looking at her like that]

[I turned to Tigerfang, giving a contemtuous swish of my head away from Eaglesoar. I nodded.]
"Tigerfang...that's a powerful name," I muttered, half thinking to myself.
[I blinked at her, and a sorrowful look came over me.]
"You remind me very much of my mother, Noor...she was killed before I came to the Clans."
[My eyes retained a sad look, but a crooked smile spread across my lips.]
"You have her strong spirit, and wily attitude. Don't ever doubt yourself...you have more inner strength than you know."
[I felt myself feeling slightly strange. I sensed my mother's spirit nearby, watching with interest. I could never get her to reply, but I knew she followed me, watching...
I flicked my ears with a sigh. Such mournful memories were making my tail droop. I shook my pelt, trying to perk up.]

[Tigerfang flicked her tail and backed away in surprise. How could she of all cats remind a cat of her mother? She was the furthest thing from the nurturing type. She did what she normally did when confronted with emotional feelings and backed away from them. She wasn't very good at dealing with feelings and didn't understand them.]
"E-Er...I...I'm sorry for your loss..."
[All of the sudden she felt a surge of sadness as she remembered her lost littermates. She remembered looking at their limp little bodies, imagining what it would have been like to play with them.]
[She shook off the feelings and lashed her tail angrily. She shouldn't let her feelings overtake her like that.] ((The reason for her big paws is because she's related to Tigerstar, but she doesn't know it... >.> ))

"If my mother were here, she'd rip your fur off," I said, a mischevious glint in my eye, "so you'd better treat Tigerfang with respect. Besides, StormClan cats are much calmer than you are. Keep a cool head, and don't start unnecessary fights. The only reason we're enemies is because you keep insisting we are."
[I flicked my tail and turned my back, ending the conversation. No need to tease the hot-headed tom any more. He'd probably cross the border in his rage, anyhow. Returning my attention to my apprentice, I nodded.]
"Go on, try and sniff something out."

Tigerfang and Eaglesoar were being just plain rowdy.
Hissing he replied...]
"Calm down you two. She didn't do anything wrong. And I know I living up to my 'half-clan' name but is being friends with a cat from another clan so bad? Nevermind, I said nothing. I don't wanna rile you two up again." he mewed irritatedly.
[Flicking his tail at the group and nodding in goodbye to Thunderflight, Watercloud picked his prey and stalked back to camp.]☁☁☁☁☁☁☁☁☁☁

[Eaglesoar thought in disgust as he watched Watercloud pick up his prey and head back to camp. He looked at his meagre offering on a single thrush; Fathom would have a fit if he found out that a thrush was all Eaglesoar managed to catch. As though Starclan was on his side that day, a lizard suddenly scuttled right in front of his paws. Eaglesoar instinctively shot out a paw with unsheathed claws, trapping the lizard and killing it with a quick bite.]
"Come on, let's head back before Fathom sends a patrol after us."
[Eaglesoar said to Tigerfang as he flicked his tail in the direction of camp, before he picked up his two catches and headed back to camp.] --------------------------------------------------x x x "xxsoaring through the sky
