I like lotteries. You can use them to make money for the prizes and everyone has a pretty fair chance of winning. Though a lottery is already going on. Maybe another banner contest. That would be fun (and I can actually make banners sweatdrop ).

Or maybe a booty grab contest. Allow a certain amount of time for people to participate in booty grabbing all over Gaia then taking screen shots of their winnings and the people with the highest winnings in a single booty grab win prizes at the end of the given time as well. This would not only benefit the people of burn by motivating them to go out of their way to work on quests and such, but it would also benefit random people with kick a** tanks.

Or maybe a promotion contest! Like what Gaia did with promoting in odd and random places and taking pictures. We could do the same thing with burn and the most creative could win.
And also, if a contest needs judges the moderators could narrow it down and then the members could have the final vote. I'm just sayin'.

 @ ViietDope: In that case, you should love the TekTek contest I'm about to post. Yep, I'm holding two back-to-back TekTek contests. People seem to really love 'em.
@ Maypole: That sounds like an absolutely wonderful idea. However, I have NO idea how that would happen. Any ideas?
@ txt me plz & Knoxlysia: Hmm, I'm actually kind of surprised I never thought of that before. The one kinda big issue I see though is: Most people with good profiles paid someone else to make them, & the amount of people who can make profiles is a lot less than the number of people who can make TekTeks or Avatar Art or even Graphics. However, Knoxlysia, since you're a crew member & you really support this idea, if you PM me or post in the crew subforum like a full paragraph about how you think it should be organized, what the rules should be, & that nonsense, I'd totally consider co-hosting the contest with you [basically meaning, I do everything hard, haha]
@ Peachy Plum: I don't really understand what you mean by your "Edit 2" suggestion. As for your "Edit" suggestion, I don't know how that would work. Plus taking screenshots is kind of a b***h =X
@ Kristen: That was actually one of the very first contests held in this guild, & is a large part of what gave this guild it's initial member boost & started it on this whole really successful track. However, at this point, I think a Member Contest like that wouldn't really work out so well, since so many people on Gaia are already members & stuff.

Monthly-themed avatar contests are good, or TekTek. Or best Gaia comic mock-ups, like what people do at GCD.

I think we should have a live-improv towns contest, see who is funniest.
We could also do a roleplay contest, no rules, just all-out. Instant killing and stuff, and the one with the best plotted out wins. If you just kill the character then it's not a good plot, and if you're just a total a*****e you'll be disqualified. Eh? Eh?
For musicians, we can all agree on a song to play and then post a video up on youtube and decide who is the best, whether it be a solo or chords.
Also an art contest based on a theme, simple one. I'd like to see sculptors though, so maybe it doesn't have to be drawings, it can be clay that you shaped or a wooden ship you made. I made a cello player awhile ago, I'd like to see recognition for that.
Also a digital contest, we can make desktop backrounds supporting a cause or something. Not my best idea...
And last but not least, witty comment contest. If there's something that you said in response to something that you think is really great (kind of like the stuff you read in Shakespear's that gets so much credit, like Puck's outro in Midsummer Night's dream or Romeo and Juliet's famed "Romeo! Oh, Romeo! Where art thou?" or something like that xD)
