Yes, the Demon had planned perfectly, with what little time he had with Bell. Making her feel guilty about having him hide his appearance had somehow stimulated a melancholy state within her. The only reason he knew this was because of the deep sadness in her features. Like he had said before, Bell’s emotions could be read as simply as a book. It seemed that taking her hand at that exact moment was spot-on. As soon as he put her in a slump, he took her right out of it valiantly, yet seemingly without knowing his importance to her change of mood.

Ran smiled at the mage as she seemed to be shooing him away in fear of pestering him for an even longer amount of time, but to no avail. The tone of her voice was amusing, for it was obvious she wished for the exact opposite. So, instead, he simply nodded; confirming his planted position outside of the office for however stretched her conference would be.

After about twenty minutes, Bell finally exited the office, looking quite dysfunctional and out of place. Ran, who had been sitting against the wall, stood to correct height and took the step needed to close the unneeded distance between them. The look on her face wasn’t quite as comprehensible, though it looked as if she was suffering from thoughts over-processing in her head; at least, from what he could see, since she was looking primarily at the ground.

“Are you alright?” he asked, his tone thoroughly concerned and careful. Ran wasn’t sure if Bell would simply stay quiet (though that was the most likely result), or if she was one of those girls who was overly prone to bawling out of the blue. Ran was never really fond of that type, though they were easy to prey on. 'Pushovers'.

He waited until after Bell made it clear if she was in the mood to talk or not to speak again. Hopefully, the new subject would get her mind off of her current thought process. “So, did they give you your schedule?” he asked in a more subtle voice, looking at a conveniently placed clock on the wall before going on, “You’ve already missed your first class. What’s your second one?” As the words flowed like water out of his mouth, the newfound bustle in the hallway only confirmed his judgment of time. Though, through all of the commotion, Ran’s glowing eyes stayed locked on Bell. Surely there were some other delicious students ripe for his picking, but the game called for complete and total focus on the current subject. Until she was out of the way, he was stuck with her. That’s just how it was; and it was the only way to show them that they had his attention, and for them to be in his spotlight was usually all that they wanted.

[I’m just assuming that the students’ second classes are about to start, going by the fact that one of the teachers dismissed their students. Anyways, how is this going to work? Are we skipping some classes and going to lunch and then skipping more classes and getting out? ‘Cause three days won’t be enough time for everyone to get through all of their classes and out, since it took much more time to get through first period.]

Annika looked at Miya with sympathy, but she couldn't quite fathom why the little pigglet would cause such hysterics.

She walked over to the sink, then frowned. There weren't any glasses to use, excluding the beakers which she wouldn't dream of using, heavens knows what kinds of chemicals have came in contact with them. And now she was in quite the predicament. She said she would get water, but there was nothing to put it in!

Danny meowed from behind her, rolling his feline eyes.

"Oh, riiiight." Anni said, slapping her forehead. She turned the knob on low, so as to better control the water, and held a few gulps worth in mid air before turning it off.

"Here, Ms. Miya." She said, presenting the ball of water to the sobbing creature being held, much like a small child finding comfort from its parent, by the lycan.

Carefully, not wanting to upset her again, Pan lifted on arm from hugging the poor girl, and strained until he grabbed the very edge of a small stack of the paper towels from earlier. Well, at least I come prepared. he thought, flicking them around in a fantastically stupid looking way until the landed covering the parts of the piglet that he'd left visible after his earlier camouflaging.

The second witch returned just as he finished with the papers, a bauble of water hovering delicately over her fingers. Hmm. Either she makes a new friend here, or the reminder about the whole 'I don't get to train' thing sets her off again. He hoped desperately for the former, but let his mind rest briefly on the brokenness of soul that he'd sensed in her earlier. Even now, sobbing like a child in his arms, he could smell the undertone of another creature. Parts of her body weren't covered in the sheen of sweat and adrenal hormones, like another being was watching from within her.

With the utmost of care, he pulled her shoulders back from him, and guided her body to face the offered drink. "You'll feel better once we leave, I promise." And, reaffirming his point, the bell dismissing students to a fifteen minute break between classes rang.

Miya blushed deeply, trying to get herself to stop crying, talk herself into better spirits, telling herself that it would be okay and she could try again some other time. She felt a little better, especially with Pan holding her, and her tears and gentle sobbing slowed. Her heart skipped a beat when she felt him delicately move her back from him, looking up at him with an almost frightened expression before her teary eyes turned to the girl whom Pan had turned her to face.

The little witch blushed more, feeling tears still falling silently down her cheeks. Quickly, Miya tried to brush them away, and looked up at the other witch. As if remembering her manners, she bowed hastily. "Th-thank you, miss." She said softly. When she raised her body up again, she blinked curiously, noticing for the first time that the girl held no cup, but a delicate orb of water which hovered just above her hands. "N-nya!" Miya's voice was still soft, but surprise and awe was clearly conveyed. "Th-that's amazing!" She looked up at the other girl, awe and admiration in her features. "How do you do that...?" came her admiring whisper. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to drink that, and wondered if she was able to mold water in such a way too.

Miya turned to Pan, suddenly, half afraid he had left her, and half wanting to point out this wonder to him. She also wasn't sure where she should go now that her first class was over, nor did she know if she should be dropping the class or not. It would probably be for the best... She didn't want to forget to ask Pan what she should do about that later.

Bell looked up from the floor as she heard Ran ask if she was ok. “Hmm? Oh… Oh, yes… I’m fine. I was just thinking about what the headmaster said to me.” She stared at his face curiously, her head tilting a little as if to examine him better as she considered everything she’d been told in the office. Her eyes took on a distracted look as she remembered what the headmaster had told her when she had told him of Ran’s help in getting her to the office, “Be careful of Ranofer, child. You should avoid telling most people here of your past until you know them well, but be especially wary of that one. He hates humans with a passion.

It couldn’t be true, could it? He’d been so helpful so far and hadn’t taken advantage of her innocent state by leading her out to the middle of nowhere and leaving her there. He’d actually brought her to the headmaster’s office, and he had seemed rather understanding and tried to give her advice when she said she had been raised by humans. Surely the headmaster was mistaken or talking about another student with the same nickname?

She started as Ran asked her about her schedule and nodded to his first question. Her schedule was packed safely away in her pocket, dry after all the roaming she’d done before and after meeting Ran. She had merely glanced at the classes she’d be taking, not bothering to memorize her schedule yet. Still, she left the piece of paper in her pocket, ignoring his second question for the moment, and not even noticing the sudden bustle of students around them as some kind of bell rang. “So, is Ran short for something?” she asked, not even trying to hide the curiosity in her voice. She had to know, and trying to hide the curiosity would completely give her away, but she did manage to keep the anxiety that sprung up out of her voice and off her features. She wasn’t really sure if she wanted to know the answer to her own question, but she had to ask or she’d go insane thinking about the possibilities.

One of the other students bumped into her and she finally looked around, suddenly noticing how many people were in the hallway with them. She stared around in confusion. There were so many students! How was she ever going to get used to the crowds of people who were jumbled in the hallway, hurrying to get to class. As Ran had said, her first class was over, but she still had the rest of her classes to go to. Reluctantly she pulled out her schedule.

((Um... How many classes on average are they going to have and how will they be scheduled? I mean, since the day is ending soon, maybe we should have two or three classes a day and have block scheduling or something.))

{{I figured there were three class periods (two mornings and an afternoon), but that students usually had no more than two a day, because they are here for ten full years, and who doesn't love free time?}}.

“I was just thinking about what the headmaster said to me.” The sentence itself was just a flashing red light going off in Ran’s head. ’s**t’. It was one thing for her to see his true appearance, but it was another thing if the Headmaster had already warned Bell about him. What made him absolutely sure that was the case, was her determined observation of him. The mage was actually staring him down. The only humorous thing about the whole situation was the way she tilted her head to the side; it reminded him of a puppy being teased.

“Not that I mind, but you do realize you’re staring, right?” he had said with a slight laugh, though his expression was openly uncomfortable with her orbs glued to him. Sure he was quite fine with the notion, but she didn’t have to know that. Anything he could do to help him avoid her thinking that the headmaster was talking about him, he’d gladly see through. The lack of a sweatshirt made it so he shoved his hands in his jean pockets, instead of the usual anticipated gesture of nesting them in the pouch of said garment.

The simple nod he received from Bell didn’t help him much. The question was supposed to help change the subject, but instead it was eagerly ignored as she inquired about his name. “Yes,” he obliged, figuring that his whole name couldn’t do much more harm to his game since the Headmaster already said something about him, “.. For Ranofer,” he finished, narrowing his eyes playfully at the girl, as though wondering why she asked. “What about you? Is Bell short for something?” the retort wasn’t meant to be an attack, just a simple get-back for her asking about his name. The fact that she disliked her real name would have made the very core of Ran’s being glow with amusement if he had known such a thing. Such a dark persona, always scheming to make others’ lives hell. Maybe it was because his life felt that way, or maybe it was because he was just a devious Unseelie demon.

Ran smiled when Bell finally dawned on her surroundings, looking entirely confused and overwhelmed at the amount of people slugging around the hallway. He could feel the stares targeting him, though it didn’t annoy him. He loved the attention his impure blood gave him; the perks of being a Fae were worth the discrimination. Slipping back into character, he called out, “Watch where you’re going, huh!?” his tone was neither angry or annoyed, only a righteous state of mind as he voiced his concerns towards the student’s manners. “Sorry about that,” Ran apologized for the ignorance of the student as he turned back to Bell, “Though people are taught here for ten years, most of them haven’t learned proper etiquette.” Great, he was speaking like a knight again. Etiquette? Really? All this nonsense was just reminding him of his actions toward his deceased queen. How she would cackle in her grave if she ever knew what was going on. “There you go again, pretending to protect someone like you pretended to protect me. You should be in my place; dead like the rest of us…”

He hated hearing that voice. Every time he was reminded of Her, the voice would whisper in his ear. Guilt, shame, longing; those emotions and more were brought out of Ran as the prodding tickled in his ears. He would just have to ignore it, shake it off for now, at least.

When he saw Bell take out the slip of paper from her pocket, he took it from her hands with a smile. After a second of observation, a pale hand returned the schedule to it’s rightful place in her hands. “C’mon,” he said with a tilt of the head. Turning away from the mage he began to walk in the direction of her next class, looking over his shoulder just once to make sure she was still with him. The business of the hallway was a bit confusing, and getting lost within the crowd was probable if Bell didn’t stay close to him. So, just in case, a limp arm offered itself for the taking if she so needed it. Otherwise, she could follow him as he was.

Though she smiled when he asked whether she knew she was staring, she made no other response to his question, and pretended he had never asked it. Of course she knew it, and she was pretty sure she knew that he knew it as well or he wouldn't have brought it up the way he had. He gave a slight laugh, a rather uncomfortable, slightly nervous laugh, and shoved his hands into his jeans pocket, but she stared all the same, not removing her eyes from him.

She frowned a little at his reply, her brow furrowing a little as she considered. He'd given his name freely enough, and she doubted that many people had the name Ranofer, so the headmaster must have been speaking of him. She sighed, slightly disappointed that the first person she'd told a little of her past to had been a boy who absolutely hated humans. Still, he'd been nice enough about it, so perhaps she'd get off easy this time around; she'd just have to make sure not to blurt it out to anyone else, and hopefully he'd keep quiet about it as well. At least she hadn't told him much about how things had been. She blinked a few times and then nodded her head with a slightly sad smile in answer to his question. "Yes, it's short for Myrabell," she elaborated, though she neglected to tell him that it was her middle name instead of her first. She didn't want him to ask what her first name was since she hated it anyways; the meaning behind it had bothered her since she'd been told that she wasn't human and would outlive all the humans she'd grown up with, maybe even their children as well. The name was far too fitting for her pleasure. The only people she allowed to call her that were her parents... and now that they were gone, she didn't think she ever wanted to hear it again.

She glanced at him as he told off the student who had bumped into her. It was actually a little sadistically funny since the poor boy murmured a hurried apology and then ran off, shooting slightly fearful glances over his shoulder at Ran. She gave a little grin, pushing her depressing thoughts to the back of her mind as she shook her head once more, "Don't worry about it, I'm sure he didn't mean to do it; I'm rather unnoticeable in general. At home..." she broke off, remembering that she oughtn't to talk about her past anymore and smiled widely at him, pretending she hadn't said anything. Noticing an odd look on his face, a mixture of anger, guilt, self-loathing, and a little longing, she watched him as she tried to keep her face still. Somehow she knew that he wouldn't like her sympathy, or even her empathy right then. "Are you okay?" she asked hesitantly, concerned for him but not wanting to pry.

She let him take the paper from her hands and glanced at it as he returned it, noting that she had some type of swordsmanship class next. That shouldn't be too bad; though she had never taken it before, she had always been mediocre at sports and the like, so hopefully it wouldn't be too bad. She shrugged a little and then followed Ran, biting her lip hesitantly before finally taking his arm in order to keep from being separated in the chaos around them. "Thank you... for everything," she spoke loudly enough him to hear before dropping her voice to a whisper that he wouldn't hear above the noise of the crowd, "Even if you hate me and everything I represent.."

The chill of the air swept into the shops that were a small courtyard away from the school itself. Grasping a cup of coffee in one hand, and her backpack in the other, the tower-esque teacher shuffled as quickly as she could in her lethargy and bunny slippers. However, she brought it upon herself. Nervousness clouded her thoughts, as did anticipation. Feeling bad though, she worried for the consequences of accidentally skipping her first period class. Of course such a terrible crime was bad for a student, but for a teacher? Ridiculous! And on her first day!

Sleeping in prompted her tardiness, and left her late for all but her second and third classes. One, which was Metal Working, and the other that was a Ceramics course in another shop. She was left to assume with the empty third and fourth shops that it was pretty much her domain. The free space and personal creative freedom made her feel just a slight bit more optimistic than before.

As the almost amazonian woman crossed the courtyard, her feet felt the chill as the slippers let in the cold. She couldn't be happier to get into her shop, feeling the constant cold of the steel and cement. Knowing however, that she'd have to hook up the space heater for the students. Kicking off her slippers, she slipped into large and thick steel-toed boots.

Having still some time left before her class started, Synria ducked into her office. The room was cozy and perfect. A desk, file cabinet, computer, and a first aid kit. Quickly, she squirmed out of her pajamas. The flannel pants and shirt kicked over into a corner as she scrambled into her work clothes. A t-shirt. Torn jeans she wouldn't miss, stained with paint and porcelain covering her black tights. All was ready.

Now, she waited...

For about eight seconds.
Boredom fell in on her mind and the snow-haired, lime-eyed woman with broad shoulders, broad hips, thick legs and large feet began testing her tools and playing with the metals she had. At her disposal, Synria had a surprisingly excellent supply of steel, copper, tin, and iron. They already were spoiling her, having paid for her supplies, and still having her budget available for use. Hearing a few time-reactant dings and buzzes, the sound creeping into her ears even with the clunks and clanks of her tinkering, Synria looked up and watched the door to her shop with anticipation and a sort of tickling fuzzy feeling that swelled in her stomach and chest. Coffee heartburn or butterflies, she had no idea which. But she kept her straight face with its laid back expression and tired circles under her eyes. Feeling the light flush to her face, she knew her scar would be obvious and started fiddling with her bangs, ultimately failing and even opening her hair further to view.

{Lemme know if I blew it. Dx}

When Evie saw that she was staring, the girl quickly turned, causin, in turn, for Kiala to smile. It was a simple smile. One that comes to a bully when seeing a mucher smaller kid whose head was dunk in to a toliet and was still bawling from the embarrassment. Though, it didn't last long as the teacher was slowly starting to get annoyed with all the chatter. Couldn't she enjoy the second period off?

The chair gave a squeak as the woman leaned back with one leg over the other. Her hands nicely placed in the lap that was given. The group hadn't left? Didn't Miya hate this class now, and if so, why not leave when told? "Please clean everything you use and put it nicely stacked on the first table. You can put the little piggies in the sink. Ms. Annika, I need to speak with you real quick before you leave." The woman leaned forward to grab a tissue whose box was housed at the front of her desk so that in case her students needed it, it was in reach. Using the white tissue, she rubbed her irratated nose once more with the soft paper cloth. Then came to toss it in the trash can that still held her plate from this morning. Leaning back she watched as her new students in the small group. Yet, while observing, Evie seemed to stay outside of the comforting group.

That cat scent was annoying. Evie's was fine, not that Kiala could kick a student out for what they were or Pan would have been gone long ago, but Kiala's senus was horrible when it came to domestic pets such as a cat. Dogs were another thing. She didn't quite care for them. They either bark, tried to attack, or just coward away. It was just something about the feline's present that set this whole thing off.

May stared inquisitively at the pale man before her for a moment, wondering at his exceptionally pretty voice and the fact that he knew her name, and suddenly bounced up and down with a little clap. She smiled brightly and nodded her head, but before she could speak, he had continued on, detailing the classes she taught. She drooped a little when he spoke about the number of people interested in his class. So he was an English teacher as well, and he probably saw her as a threat, encroaching upon his territory. She let out a small sigh, she didn't need to make any enemies her first day back at home; maybe she could convince him that she wasn't a threat in the least. With a little shrug, she adopted her happy expression once more, things would fall as they fell, and everything would work out in the end, "That's me! How did you know who I was just by seeing me? I'm sure that their are many talented writers in this school, but surely there are those not as versed in English as well; I've been told that I'll be giving a remedial English course of some sort, for those who aren't particularly fond of the subject." She continued speaking without really waiting for an answer to her question. She had only asked out of curiosity and didn't really care if she received an answer, she could always ask again later if any of the other teachers happened to instantly know who she was and what she taught.

She looked around the room, noticing tea simmering in a pot and fresh blueberry pancakes sitting on the counter. Her mouth began to water as she took in the smell of the pancakes; she hadn't eaten breakfast yet, and they smelled delicious. "Oh, those pancakes smell heavenly. I don't suppose you'd let me have one, would you?" she asked hopefully, desperately wanting some fluffy goodness in her stomach.

She heard the bell sound outside the room, but didn't bother getting up. Her classes had all been canceled today to give her enough time to get settled in with her late return to the school, though she might ask them to open her third period class again. Some rhetoric would be lovely just about now; then again, rhetoric would be lovely at any time of the day, so her craving wasn't really anything new. She couldn't wait for her rhetoric classes to start; the controlled chaos of debate would be so much fun.

"Not really..." Annika said, smiling at the compliment though. "It's harder to control much more than this. I don't normally have to use it, so I never practice." She twirled the little aqua orb around slowly, a few drops slipping out and falling on her hands, almost looking like ice that was melting. So the witch concentrated harder on keeping the form, most of her focus going into making every atom stay inside the orb.

At her name, she turned her head to the caller, her focus broke, the water falling out and splashing everywhere, making her jump in surprise.

"Y-yes?" Annika asked face red with the humiliation of losing the whole shebang like that.

Watching the water spill upon the floor brought a chuckle to this cold hearted woman, but it was quickly swept away, the smile was alittle harder to control. Once more leaning on her desk to get closer to the girl that turned towards her. "I'm completely amazed that you know such palor tricks, but there is no need in this class. Stop it." Kiala told rather bluntly, "Second, I don't see where this is a park or anything to that point. This is a classroom. Pets are not allowed."

Her chairs pushed the seat back towards the white board right behind her. Standing up, her arms reached behind her head in a small stretched, the spine popped three to four times. She couldn't count with it's speed. Nodding to the mess with a wave of her hair, "You can also clean that up before you leave." Arms now stretched pointed to the back where a roll of thick brown paper towels sat in its fat glory near the window.

God, these children were keeping her in her own class. The least she wanted was to visit with the other teachers and see why they might cancel. Horatio wasn't that hard to find out why. That gave her only until a few more hours before locking herself away for the next few days. Thinking upon that, three loud claps were heard. "This class will be dismissed until your other teachers have given further instructions."

((Oh my... I took so many liberties with this post....
@ ///////////// @
I'm really sorry, I just wanted to get a post in incase i can't before tomorrow night XD
I'm confused about a couple small details.

1} Were the other classes cancelled the previous day?
2} What classes do each of the teachers teach? I may need to know for my next post since Miya is likely going to get a schedule change.
3} Do they have the same three classes every day, or do they alternate? (For example, at my school, we have certain classes on "A" days and certain classes on "B" days)

Sorry about the confusion! x - x

Also, if anyone needs a way to get back into the day, I left it hanging at the end so that Miya hasn't seen who she bumped into. You could say it was your character if you want, but if not, it's perfectly fine, and I could just say it was a stranger and go along with her heading to the Headmaster's office. ♥ ))

Miya had slept in. Way in. It was already 10am, and she was ridiculously late for class. First period had just ended, she had missed Biology. Truth be told... The young witch sort of meant to miss her biology class. But she hadn't planned on sleeping through it! She wanted to go to the Headmaster's office to see about getting her class switched to something more suited for her, at least for the time being.

She looked around, dazed and confused in the bustle of people. Her classes yesterday were cancelled, so she hadn't gotten to see much of the school yet, and was still horribly lost. Miya also couldn't find Pan or Evie anywhere! She felt as though she were completely alone, even in the swirling mass of Otherfolk that bustled to and fro in the halls. She held her notebook and other belongings tightly, not wanting to drop them, and thought back to yesterday... Pan was... Well, she didn't quite know what to call what he was doing. But he had been so helpful to her, regardless! She could feel herself blush, embarrassed as she remembered the particulars about their closeness in class.

Her thoughts diverted her attention from the lively hall inhabitants, and she neglected to notice where she was going, bumping right into someone, nearly toppling herself over. "N-nyaa!!" She cried out, as her books toppled to the tiled surface below. "I-I'm so sorry!!" Miya bowed on instinct, blushing even more, completely embarrassed and feeling bad for bumping right into someone.
