Jiro Yamada(Gai Daigoji) from Martian Successor Nadesico.
The series' best character, and he dies in the fourth episode.
Although, he does kinda figure out the plot inadvertently.
I'll admit that Kamina's death was sad, but he had to die or else he wouldn't be a Jesus allegory.
Tsukomo Shiratori, from Nadesico.
The second best character in the series, and he's identical to Gai.

It was sad both in the anime and in the manga cry

kairi_angel Personally, some characters should die so the plot can progress... Or the series can come to a good end. Like Death Note. Light needed to die. The series could have ended after L did. But...Edward in FMA could have been handled a bit more carefully I think. But ah well. WH-WHAT?! E-ED DOESN'T DIE! He just goes to Germany. ;O

I didn't want Hughes from FMA to EVER die. TTATT    (( DAMN YOU, LUST AND ENVY!!! BURN IN A FIERY HELL!!! TTATT )) On another note... It was also pretty sad to see Ciel Phantomhive die. ;/ But I don't mind, 'cuz Sevastian is the awesomeness... >.>

Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist. He was too cool to live.
But ... (more in white) when you think about it, it's good that he ended up with his friends. Especially in the manga; when he died in that it wasn't so sad.
