Oh, man! Your friend's fate in the hands of your brother!? Eesh. Scary! burning_eyes (Just kidding!)

We were teasing him about the jury duty thing yesterday. blaugh But he's actually a good kid. He had some problems back in high school, and he did some things that he really isn't proud of, but he's past that now. The only vice he still holds onto is his tobacco habit. Anyway, I'm not really concerned about his sense of judgment in the trial.

Well, like I said before, I was only kidding. mrgreen Actually, getting to watch a trial--either as a juror or just as a spectator--sounds really fascinating! In college, when I took Intro to Criminal Justice as an elective during the last semester of my senior year, we got to watch part of a capital murder trial. The defendant had already pled guilty to first-degree murder, but a trial was held to determine whether or not she deserved the death penalty. I didn't get to see the whole thing because it went on for several days, but our professor told us that the jury ultimately decided against giving her a death sentence. Anyway, it was really interesting to hear testimonies from various witnesses and try to piece together what really happened.

I should have written this when I woke up suddenly at 6:00 AM (I rolled over and went back to sleep). The dreams that I had later made it kind of hazy, and now that it is late in the day, I barely remember any of it. But it was really cool. I had been reading the Sailor Stars season of the Sailor Moon manga (and I finished it last night), so that definitely contributed to my dream. I dreamed that I was on a train or an airplane or something and I was traveling. I think I was a sailor senshi, but I don't know which one. Like I said, my memory is really hazy. In the manga, the dead senshi get possessed and start attacking Sailor Moon. This might be why Sailor Saturn tried to choke me. But, Chibi Moon stopped her, so it worked out. I remember seeing Pluto, but I can't remember what she was doing. I'm pretty sure that we fought enemies and stuff, but I can't recall. This is why I should have typed it as soon as I woke up that first time. I recall my dream being really sharp and vivid then. It's strange how they fade away. Anyway, I think I've been overdosing on Sailor Moon. sweatdrop

*Edit - I'm pretty sure that the Sailor Starlights were in my dream too.

I had a really odd dream last night, or rather, I had many odd dreams. I read entirely too much Hellsing before bed last night, so I ended up dreaming about the manga for the first part of my dream. Then I was in a shopping district like you see in anime and manga. I was on some type of mission. I remember that there were a few other people around me, and I think we needed to assassinate someone, but we were in danger of being killed ourselves. We had to move through some underground stuff. For some odd reason, I remember us playing a game in an arcade, but we couldn't do well because the thing wouldn't jump. I think Alucard laughed at me. Then my dream shifted. It was an altered US that looked devastated. Two eggs had fallen to the ground (I think by some special organization) and two people emerged: a girl and a boy. Somehow, both had powers. They lived in a warehouse with some other people, but these two were special. Some special agents showed up at the door and wanted to come in, but the girl told them they they couldn't. So they came back later, busted down the door, and demanded they the two go with them, or else they would kill the twins and everyone else around them. The world was altered. The temperatures were way lower than they should have been. Yet, somehow, something that the twins did restored the climate. I recall that the temperature in Montana was -40 with 400 mph wind. And this type of weather was all over the country. I recall that the temperature in Alabama after the climate was restored was 23 degrees. We visited some places, including the library of my old college. I can't recall what exactly I was doing, but I remember that Alvinette was with me. (We were both students there in the past irl.) There was something about the archives in the attic. Then, I was at a store that was selling movies, anime, and manga at discounted prices because the store was going out of business. But, the discount was only a two for one deal. I recall trying to decide whether or not to go ahead and buy all of the volumes of the Vampire Knight manga. I think I considered some others too. In the end, I'm pretty sure that I didn't buy anything, because I wanted to save the remaining $25 of my Christmas money. Then, somehow, I was at my grandma's house, but there was some person with me. It might have been Alucard, but I'm not sure. Things kept catching on fire because of my accidents. I thought a coocoo clock was moving in a weird way, so I kept staring at it. Then, some creature kind of like a ferret, but that could talk came out. I tried to make a bed for it. It was an ally of ours, but I can't recall how. Then, I tried to make a salad for myself, but I kept trying to put small random objects that were non edible into it. I finally got frustrated with my lack of success of making a good one. My aunts told me that I should go buy food at some restaurant around, but I ended up making a can of beefaroni instead. And then somehow I ended up Twilight Town (from Kingdom Hearts II), but Twilight Town was on top of a mountain, and I had to climb a really high vertical ladder to reach it. I was climbing, but I don't think I ever reached the top, or if I did, I can't really recall it.

Weird dream, huh? Moral of the story: don't go on a Hellsing manga binge before bed.

I need to start recording my more interesting dreams. They would be great fodder for creative writing. lol Actually, I started writing one of them down. I'll let you read what I have of it when I have it in a halfway coherent form. 3nodding

I had a dream last night that was kind of a mix between Cinderella and Phantom of the Opera. I was Christine, and I had two step sisters and a stepmother who was bossy, but not evil. I remember that I was trying to help my sisters (as well as myself) find charming husbands. I think I met one I was interested in when all of us were dancing (I was on point) to the song "Masquerade." We even had masks and stuff! xd I had just matched up one of my sisters, and she was going upstairs to fix her hair to meet her man. Meanwhile I was about to go and put on a beautiful dress to meet the guy I was interested in....but the phone rang and woke me up. xp It was such a great dream! I had an elegant handsome man who danced with me, but now he's gone back to the word of dreams! crying Now, if only I could find such a guy while I'm awake...

I had a dream that actually made perfect sense to me. It was also very depressing at the same time.

I got off the plane in California and stepped out to look around. Michael was there and he drove me back to the house. We talked a lot on the way, caught up, and when we arrived where I used to live, it had changed. It was still Jasmine Circle, but the fences had turned into a line of trees. Another house was behind the trees, and instead of going off to his old house, we went up Massachusetts Road and up to this ramshackled house. It wasn't actually too beat up on the inside, but the outside was in terrible condition.

I went to bed, woke up, and went to school the next day. I sat down in class and looked out the window, when this psychotic winter storm started blowing outside. Snow was blanketing the entire area and the wind was almost pulling small trees out of the ground, so we got an early dismissal and went home. On my walk back home, I bumped into a person who I knew to be Teal. It didn't look a thing like her; she had changed physically and didn't even have the same hair color or freckles, but my brain told me in a poetic way it was her. We caught up and talked, and she hugged me and such and the conversation kept going on as the storm subsided and the sun came out - the weather went back up to like, 70 degrees.

We reached Jasmine Circle and I was excited as we both turned into the same road. But, her friends showed up, and each one that joined our group, the less she paid attention to me. After about 4 or 5 of them, I pointed off the road at which I lived on, and she completely blew me off. I let out a sigh, and walked up the road alone, and then woke up.

It sounds like you are having more insecurities about your relationship with her than you thought. confused

Btw, have you ever had those dreams where all you do is go through a typical school day, and nothing odd or special really happens, so when you wake up, you are really bummed that you have to get up and go to school all over again?

No, but I have had one dream experience that was kind of the opposite of that. When I was working in the deli at Winn-Dixie ( xp ), I dreamed one morning that I had my own private island. It was close to the coast and had white sandy beaches and a huge castle. In the dream, I was exploring my island at sunset, and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. At the top of the sky it was already dark and the moon and stars were out. Near the bottom, it was like a regular sunset, only there was a rainbow in the sky. I mean, it sounds weird when I'm describing it, but in the dream, when I was seeing it, it was just perfect and breathtaking. And then...the alarm clock went off, waking me up and ending my dream. And I had to go to work. xp

I was so irritated when the phone rang and took me away from my prince charming. xp I can imagine how you felt.

Bleagh. Oh well, at least I have the memory. And at least it wasn't one of those dreams that starts off cool but then turns into a nightmare. Although I have had some dreams that started out as nightmares but wound up being really neat...
Oh, and Chibi, if you ever figure out how to do a lucid dream and you're having a dream about charming princes, do be sure to find one for me too! wink

The problem with lucid dreams is that when I realize that I'm dreaming, the world becomes closer to normal. If I could fly before, I can only glide a little bit once I realize I'm dreaming, so I can't really do much of my own free will. Once, I realized that I was dreaming, so I was going to start making out with a guy, but I accidentally woke myself up. xp
