1: Are the items you're wearing still available, what about the umbrella?
1: Does anyone make good (cheap) replicas of Atelier Peirrot? T^T

2: Where was this taken? At an event or a pretty room in house?

1: I bought the dress at the con I went to last weekend, and I think it's a last-season item, actually. The parasol is from Lumiebre. And yes! They still sell it. :3
It's one of their cheaper lines, and I'm pretty sure they ship overseas they don't, I was wrong. I bought it through a group order [it arrived damaged and I had to fix it]. As for replicas ... no idea. You could check with Fanplusfriend for custom-made replicas. They're doing steal-boned corsets now, and apparently do pretty well with them.

2: It was in my house, for the Tokyo Rebel contest. My entry is here: Kate Ruggeri. I built a set in my game room. Saturday, I shot my friend Sarah [she chose one of her outdoor photos for the contest], and then myself yesterday. I built the sets using two ladders, a shower curtain rod, a changing-room screen borrowed from my mother, and copious amounts of fabric.

@tsuki_totoro- Lovely, again. Do those socks have mint green/powder blue bows on them? I like. I'd add bows to mine, but all my socks are above knee so no one would see them anyway T^T no point.

What kind of ribbon, or did you singe the edges? All my ribbons run unless I get synthetic and singe them. :/

I find you can get a similar effect with non-synthetic if you raise a small bead of superglue on the end of the applicator and run the cut edge of the ribbon along it. You have to be careful not to use too much.

I used to do that, it really works! But my stupid washing machine pulls it off after a few washes. sad I recently tried using super glue to finish the edges, and while it's dangerous for me ( I have a tendency to glue myself to... myself) it seems to hold up in the washer.

Uh. I never, ever, wash my lolita socks in the washer. Or any of my lolita stuff, actually. Hand wash all the way! Clothes last waaaaaay longer.

lol, cosplay from last year. not exactly lolita, but it was girly and really fun to wear. Made out of pink dotted fabric scraps and white t-shirts, scrap ribbon, etc. THe ears (chobit ears, Apple Persacom, aka "iBit) are craft foam, hinges, random led hardware for the blue power light, and speaker ports, made by me.

and another from this year just for funsies.

Fiance Isaac (Kamina) begging for his life.

@ C a t h a r s i s -I never have time, so I usually go with more durable clothes. I don't usually do ribbons, but the socks I got from bodyline are champs in the washer. I just put em in a mesh sack for lingere. All my clothes are subject to ironing and pressing, art stains, fire, and being shoved in a backpack anyway, so if they can't handle a washer, they get donated.

That's a hooooot body! I totally don't have the confidence to cosplay Yoko @_@ Maybe one day I'll do her star bikini outfit (gym gym gym gym)

Eep, that's a lot of wear! I can see how you'd need to throw it in a machine. I'm just really careful about what I'm doing when I wear my stuff. sweatdrop
